Breakfast foods are good. Service is decent. Best to go at 3 am after a night of drinking because they are 24⁄7. Would recommend to a friend

Worst place ever took forever for our server to come and when the food did come out I found 2 hairs in it and when I asked for a refund they still made me pay for my side and drink. When I payed they gave incorrect change and gave attitude when I asked them to correct it. NEVEREATHERE you will regret it

We went eat for lunch. The place was half empty. We sat for about 10 mins. I timed it and nobody came to serve us not even to ask if we wanted water at least. If I could rate this place –5 I’ll do it. Really really bad customer service.

I thought about going here many times but I kept putting it off because the reviews on Unilocal were so mixed. My cousin said he had gone a few days before and he liked the food. Since my cousin liked it we decided to go. I’ve been to Flashback diner twice in the past week. The first time the food was great and so was the service. Second time food was fair and service was fair. The menu was large. There was breakfast items, soups, salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, various entrees, and desserts. I also got a separate menu that listed complete meals including soup or salad, an entrée with two sides, a beverage, and any dessert. It also included their challah bread and butter. I’ve ordered the complete meal which seemed like a better deal then getting everything separately. Our server brought a small loaf of challah bread and butter for us to share. it’s been a long time since I’ve had challah and I had forgotten how good it is. Both times I’ve been there I ordered the matzo ball soup which had a fairly large matzo ball, chicken, and noodles. I think matzo ball soup is the ultimate comfort food. Theirs was good. The first time I was there I tried the turkey dinner which came with dressing, cranberry sauce, and two sides. I got mashed potatoes and squash and zucchini. I liked the turkey and the dressing was very good. For dessert Clyde and I shared a banana split, three scoops of ice cream, toppings, banana, and whipped cream. Delicious. The service was outstanding. I enjoyed my meal so much that I went back a few days later. This time I followed our servers suggestion and ordered the meat loaf with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. I didn’t like it. It just seemed to have a lot of filler and not enough meat, or maybe it was overcooked. I just didn’t care for the taste. The mashed potatoes weren’t as good as before either. Our server took back our order, although I kept the mac and cheese which I liked. I changed my order to fried chicken and french fries. The fried chicken was good. Four fairly small pieces of chicken. The chicken was crisp and tasted good but there wasn’t a lot of meat. I really liked the french fries which were perfectly cooked. We decided to take home the dessert that came with the meal. Our server packed a large piece of chocolate cake and whipped cream. It was good. On our second trip our server was okay, but I felt like I was bothering him if I asked for anything. Clyde got the same feeling. A few things that I like about this restaurant is: They don’t charge extra for sharing and they’re open 24 hours. They also have a parking lot with plenty of parking places. Their prices are a little higher then similar places, but I wouldn’t call it expensive. My fried chicken dinner with soup, entrée, two side dishes, beverage, and dessert was $ 21.95. A few days ago I would have given four stars. I knocked off one star because on my most recent visit I didn’t like the taste of the meat loaf, there wasn’t a lot of meat on the fried chicken, and the service was fair.

I’m not a huge fan of diners. They vary from awful to quite good. I was somewhat dubious about trying Flashback, I was hoping it wouldn’t turn out to be a euphemism for a bad drug trip. It wasn’t! Diane and I decided to try a new restaurant for a nice treat. We brought along her cousin, Gary. We were not to be disappointed! Flashback is a clean, wonderfully tasty, place. I ordered a Bud Light to start. It wasn’t just a beer. It was a frosty, delicious, terrific drink. It came in a beautiful cold mug that allowed me to enjoy every drop! Diane had delicious Matzoh Ball soup(she kindly shared) her cousin Gary had their fantastic Chili(he also offered me a taste). I ordered the Pork Chops as a main course. You can order them as a plain meal or along with soup or salad, a beverage and a dessert. They were possibly the best Pork Chops I’ve ever had. Tender and juicy surrounded by a crispy breading that was simply fabulous. I was in ecstasy! The mashed potatoes and gravy was perfect, with little pieces of potatoes floating in it – just great. I also had broccoli on the side that just hit the spot. When I thought I could eat no more, the server asked what we wanted for dessert. Flashback offered Diane any of their desserts at the completion of the meal because she ordered the complete meal. She kindly gave me her dessert! I decided on the Banana Split. It came with three flavors of ice cream and whipped cream and toppings. It was huge and delicious! I finished every drop. If you order it a la carte it’s $ 8.95. The meal was just perfect. I wouldn’t have changed a thing except the price. It was a little high but well worth it. I now have added a new restaurant to my list of favorite restaurants. I am eager to try everything on the menu as soon as I can!!!

This is one of the favorite default places in the area. Whole the food is great, the service doesn’t always match. However, it’s one of those times where you overlook that and enjoy the meal in error or time it takes to be delivered. Sometimes you just feel like the oitside, enjoying the wind and/or sun. As a result of possibly closing the outside, you run the chance of being forgotten by the waiter.

I had the best time at flashback diner’s. I ordered the Floridian omelette; which was amazing and it said avocado slices but it was like half an avocado! So good I forgot to take a picture… The waitstaff was superb and they took care of us promptly. Will definitely go get them

This diner has a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. It was a busy Saturday morning when I visited with my friends, and we were seated quickly enough. The food was decent and the service just mediocre. I ordered a cappuccino and one egg over hard with cheese, and it took at least ten minutes before we were served our cappuccinos(we may have even gotten our food first), and I received one egg scrambled rather than over easy(yeah, I’m that picky… but most places can get that right). My son had a waffle topped with fresh strawberries, and a whipped cream that was made in-house, which he raved about. I think I might have reviewed this place a little better if I’d had a better attitude on that particular morning, so I’d definitely come back and give this place another try.

By far the most horrible service/experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My boyfriend and I got there at midnight and its almost 2am right now, we ordered pancakes and buff. chicken tenders, after 45 min waiting for the food our server came by and told us they had burnt our buffalo chicken tenders. Then after about another 30 min of waiting we got our food. But the order was wrong, buffalo chicken tenders weren’t buffalo and pancakes were really dry(and one burnt) by sitting on the window so long. We told our server so she took the food back and took another 25 min. Our server was not attentive, never got refills. and there were so many employees too! No reason our food should have taken that long. Never going back again!!! EVER!!!

Hooray…365 days per year and 24 hours per day breakfast. Sure, this is a diner and the menu is like 100 pages long, but most times I order breakfast food here and it is pretty good. They serve large portions and there is lots of carbs, btu what the heck, this is breakfast and no matter what time of the day it is, you can come here for some old fashioned eggs, bacon, toast, home fries, country fried steak(whatever that is), and lots of drink options. I generally take a booth if one is available, and they have small tv’s at each booth, when they are working, the staff is generally nice and friendly, and the quality of the food is good. I am not sure how the rest of the menu tastes, because I always order breakfast here. So, if you are in the mood for breakfast and it is 3am in the morning, this place will be a great options for you.

Food is delicious and portions are moderately sized. Service was awful. We sat outside and after finishing our entrees our table was not cleared. Our waiter dropped off desert without clearing the table. At this point there was 0 room and I had to flag a busboy down. A homeless man also approached the table begging for money. Moral of the story, don’t sit outside.

Great Dining inside or outside. Marble top dining surface was a nice touch. The flashback was the pictures on the wall not the design which is modern and clean. Great NY style breakfast!
Absolutely the worst experience I have had at a diner in my life. Waited 15 min to be seated once seated it took 15 min for anyone to come over. Told waitress we were in a rush and wanted to order but was told she wanted to greet another table that was waiting as well. We ordered and never seen waitress or any server for 30−40min. Once we finally got someone’s attention we were told that they were sorry and would check on it and they never came back. 25 min later someone came out with the wrong food and hurried it back to kitchen. When it returned 10min later it was now cold. We were here 1 ½ hours and had a cold omelette and crappy service. So I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Finally I have a reason to move to Florida!!! I’m a New Yorker who loves her breakfast! My pics should speak for themselves. After I was in the Del Ray location the next time I was in Florida I went to the Boca location. Equally delicious. Beautiful presentation that tasted as good as it looked. Can’t wait to go back.

This is the diner of all diners in South Florida in my opinion. Not to sure about the Davie location, but the Boca location is on point. Reasonable prices and good food. I had the Cinnamon French Toast which was excellent. You really get a lot for a $ 6.95 price tag. The Floridian Burger was OK, bun was too thick and too hard. Will definitely choose Flashback over Denny’s or IHOP.

We had tried to go to The Flashback Diner in Davie once and thought it was skeevy, so we bolted. Flash forward to a hungry night in Boca a few years later and we’re at The Flashback again, albeit in Boca and this time, we liked what we saw and stayed. There is a lot of nice things to say about the physical location like it is big, new, and clean. While it is called Flashback Diner, don’t expect to walk into an old style diner of yesteryear. The«updated» décor has more to do with the pictures on the wall and how each booth has it’s own little tv, vauguely reminiscent of the 50’s era mini jukeboxes booths in diners had. As said before, it is a large place, so elbow room isn’t a problem. Getting to the food, it wasn’t stellar or bad but just middle of the road. We decided to try a little late night breakfast fare. A little pricey for what they provide, the food could get kicked up a notch so to speak. It’s nice that they are open 24 hrs, and that their cakes slices are massive and weigh just under a pound each. So if you get a sweet tooth in the middle of the night. i’m just saying. Service was nice and attentive.

Rating: 32⁄100 pts So, are we flashing back to a time before quality ingredients and competent preparation were in style? Because if that’s the case, the name is perfectly accurate. I came here with the fam, got seated almost immediately, and then waited an exorbitant amount of time for our food. Still, I’m not taking off points for the wait – it being snowbird season, they were mobbed and understandably busy. Our waitress actually handled the situation very well, repeatedly filling our coffees and even giving us some complimentary challah as we endured the wait. I ordered the Nova Scramble with fruit and a bagel($ 11.95), and after a half-hour of waiting, I was served slightly overdone eggs, with onion and scraps of salmon lazily mixed in and thrown onto a plate. The eggs were not fluffy, nor was the salmon delicate or flavorful. The bagel was bland, tasting like it had obviously been baked somewhere else. The fruit was not particularly sweet or freshly cut. My dad got a sausage omelette with cheese. There was nothing special about this either; though slightly melted, you could still see the unappealing outline of the square of American cheese laying atop the eggs. The best part of the dish was the hash browns, which I guess were okay. Post meal, we marveled at the showcase of desserts, and I decided to take home one of their massive chocolate chip cookies, both to satisfy my sweet tooth, and as a possibility for giving them a better rating. Though definitely sweet enough, unfortunately it wasn’t cooked all the way through; there was a layer of rawness in the center. Summary: A lack of both fresh ingredients and attention to preparation results in a sub-par eating experience. Are my expectations tainted due to living on the West Coast? Possibly. But there are better brunch spots in Boca Raton.

The inside reminds me of a Vegas glitzy diner. Service and staff were all lovely and efficient. Started with cheese sticks and as the waitress said as long as they are hot they are good. They were hot but nothing more than average frozen cheese sticks. I ordered patty melt with onion rings. The melt was burned and the onions were thick and not carmelized properly. Onion rings were in edible and we returned them for fries. The fried chicken was alright and the mashed potatoes were not good but the broccoli was good lol. I’m not sure what the draw is but we won’t be returning to find out.
