Chef-Baba Cooking Class

I purchased this for my boyfriend for Christmas. we had to wait about a month for an opening, but it was well worth the wait! Chef Baba was very hands on and had quite a sense of humor. He taught in a way that was very easy to follow and the meals were absolutely delicious! We are definitely doing another class with him!

I am very dissapointed. I bought a Groupon for his class and he never contacted me. Email him 4 times, finally complained with Groupon and he emails me asking how he can help me. Once again, I email him asking to confirm a date and no response for another day. What kind of business is he running? I got a full refund and putting this review out there to make people aware before you pay for his class.

Went to an Italian cooking class with Chef Baba in Boca. It was so much fun! Chef Baba is very friendly, helpful, and our night was full of making delicious Italian food! Our pasta and bruschetta were showstoppers for sure. Everyone attending the class was truly having a good time… homemade wine a plus! I hope to attend another class soon.

My wife and I just finished a basic Italian cooking class with Chef-​Baba. Chef Baba is an amazing chef and every dish he prepared was absolutely delicious. He makes the class fun and makes everyone feel right at home. While we were expecting a little more hands on learning, we still enjoyed the experience as we left with several recipes that we can’t wait to make at home on our own. We will definitely be signing up for the advanced class in a few weeks. I would highly recommend taking a class with Chef Baba.

I attended this class with my sister and a friend and we all enjoyed it very much. Chef has a good sense of humor and explains things in a way that is very easy to comprehend. I am looking forward to attending future classes. I do wish it was a bit more hands on but I am the one that always wants to do everything. I have been cooking for quite some time and I was able to pick up some very handy pointers and ideas. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

What a huge disappointment!!!
Myself and three friends signed up for a «4-​hour Chef-​Led Hands-​on Cooking Class with Wine for 2» which we had purchased on Groupon, we had reviewed this offer on his website and it looked so much fun, we had to wait nearly three months for a spot, which was fine.
This is certainly not what we signed up for!
First of it lasted just under 3 hours and not 4 hours as stated, 5.30pm until 8.25pm. It was not hands on as described on Groupon or on their Website, he had people walk to counter to add ingredients now and again, you could not really see anything as the person putting in whatever ingredients had their back to the rest of us.
It was not at his restaurant, it was held in his new Juice Bar that he was «Promoting» all thru the night, where we just sat around on chairs, no tables or anything to lean on to write notes and put plastic cups of water, as for the «Wine for 2» what was handed out was his home made wine in again small plastic cups.
When you review this offer on his website you see people gathered around a proper cooking station, with aprons preparing food looking like they are having fun, you see glass glasses not plastic. You see enjoyment, you see laughter and fun. You think «we have to do this, it looks great» but pictures can be deceiving.
The whole night was as I said such a disappointment, oh if the night wasn’t bad enough we had to stack our chairs before we left.
Chef Bennardo did mention something about a previous class, spilled oil and insurance, which is seemingly why we where at the Juice Bar and why it wasn’t hands-​on, in my opinion, he should have contacted whoever purchased this offer and explained something like «Just so you are aware, we will not be doing the hands-​on class at the restaurant but at my Juice Bar because blah blah blah etc» we probably would not have gone, we were looking for the fun experience that is advertised on his website which we did not get!
Do NOT waste your money on this cooking class. I would certainly not be recommending him or this event to anybody, waste of my money and waste of my Sunday evening!!!
