Monro Muffler Brake & Service

Management changed recently, came last month for a simple oil change, and was overcharged. I came home and my husband asked why I was charged a «shop supply fee», when I had asked the manager earlier, he said, that it’s a normal fee for oil changes.
Everyone check your receipts, you’re not supposed to be charged shop supply fees for oil changes!!!
They are also much slower now with service, and don’t apologize for the slow service.
A normal 35 – 45 minute oil change turned into a 1 hour and 40 minute oil change. Let’s just say, I was pretty much late to… everything.
This Monro used to be the best place to come for service.

I purchased a aftermarket exhaust and was getting quotes for installation. These guys were the cheapest and the reviews seemed pretty good. Well, they got it done pretty quickly AND the price was less than their quote! Courteous and nice crew over at Monro, definitely check them out!

I was more than satisfied with the customer service I received at Monro. I had a tire blow out on the freeway late on a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend. I arrived at Monro shortly before closing time and Jeff and his staff showed the utmost patience. In fact, they stayed after closing time helping me.
They inspected my tires, finding a nail and a serious gouge I didn’t know were there. They rotated the spare tire. And they checked their own stock and nearby auto shops for the right size replacement tires. I was particularly impressed that when I asked about the tires they had in stock, Jeff said they were on the lower end and he did’t recommend them for my car.
If I lived in the area, I would definitely bring my business back to Monro.

I am very dissatisfied with the service at this location. The team there is very bad at managing client expectations and providing good customer service. Even if you make an appointment expect to be treated like a walk in and plan to spend a couple hours there for work that would normally take 30mins. I will never go here again. Do not waste your time, money or energy — GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I have been taking my cars here for at least 6 years. I have always had great customer service. The mechanics here are knowledgable about the vehicles and do their best to fix any problems. As well as simple procedures like oil changes and tire rotations at an affordable cost. The manager Geoff is very honest and knowledgeable and will treat each customer respectfully.

I came to Monroe to get a simple oil change. I should know better than to come to the large industrial stores especially after this location quoted me a ridiculous price several years ago on a part that wasn’t even wrong with my car.
A simple oil change turned into a quote of $ 550, because since I’m a woman, I must have stupid written all over my face. First it was my brakes which I was told could fail at any time and they tried to put the fear of God in me to fix them. A bloated price of $ 350. For front brakes. Took the car to a family friend after who told me I had a good 1,000 miles still on them. Then it was the air filter and another bloated charge of $ 35 plus labor. Bought the part for $ 14.99 @ Pep Boys and installed it myself. Me… a woman! Then it was my cabin filter needs replacing. Was quoted $ 59 plus $ 50 labor. I was told it was because they have to take the dash off.. Blah blah WRONG! Jeff, the manager, showed me the filter. I looked at my car in the lift and the dash was still on. So tell me. how did you pull the filter out to show me without taking my dashboard off? Magic? No. because you pull it out of the glove box. Again, bought the part for $ 35 and installed myself.
One thing I don’t like is being lied to. I’m sick of these large boxed stores thinking the consumer is stupid. Between Google and YouTube, you can learn how to do simple fixes in your own. Saved myself close to $ 200 & spent $ 50. As for the brakes, Dave’s Auto Repair in Hatboro has my business. Fast, reliable and won’t stick me. Would’ve gone there in the first place but he was closed for the holiday.

I take my car to this place only now. I’ve taken my car to different places around the area. I’m sure I’m being ripped off big time whenever I go to Firestone, and I don’t think I get prompt, personal service when I take my car to Walmart. I live closest to Five Points Gulf Service Center in Blue Bell, who deserves one star from me.
I’ve come to trust this place. The workers here are honest and prompt. Whenever I get a quote for some exorbitant amount for some ridiculous repair issues from other places and I bring my car here, they tell me that there’re no such issues with my car. These guys recommend only the necessary repairs.

Called at 7:45am and the manager squeezed me in for an oil change in the morning even though he was full up of cars on the lifts before I got there and there were vehicles waiting while I was there. Great service. Honest people. I’ll be back in 3,000 miles.
