White Orchid Distinctive Floral

I can’t make enough positive comments about White Orchid Floral! Our son was married recently in Bloomington and I baked the wedding cake. The fresh flower topper for the cake which was made by another florist, was a centerpiece instead of a cake topper! I was, needless to say, panicking on the day of the wedding. Joanne at White Orchid had made beautiful center pieces for the rehearsal dinner the night before. She was a pleasure to meet and work with long distance, as we live northeast of Indianapolis. I gave her a call to ask if she would take a look at the cake topper. I know she sensed that I was desperate as she said to bring it to her shop. Joanne fixed the flowers beautifully, delivered it to the wedding reception site and placed it on top of the cake!!! She was a lifesaver! The cake was beautiful thanks to the mother of the groom and White Orchid Distinctive Floral! Thanks so much.

DELIVERY SERVICE SUCKS! My husband has had flowers delivered to me twice and both times the delivery driver calls me several times beforehand freaking out about traffic and parking. The whole point of having flowers delivered is that it is a surprise! I work at IU at the library and parking is difficult but I used to deliver flowers and I would put on my hazards on and a sign in the window that said «DELIVERY IN PROGRESS» then if I couldn’t find the person I would call from the lobby which is much more professional. Instead I had to go wait outside in 20 degree weather waiting for the delivery driver to show up, kept trying to call the driver to see where they were and got no answer, then when she did show up she didn’t even apologize. Thanks a lot for ruining what was supposed to be a pleasant, wonderful surprise into a frustrating and irritating experience. Get it together ladies.

My family and friends are still raving about how beautiful our wedding flowers were. The White Orchid was so knowledgeable and helpful with our wedding. My wife came to Joanne several months before our wedding with a very vague idea of what we wanted and a few magazine clippings. Joanne knew exactly what questions to ask to clarify our vision and ensure the arrangements would work perfectly with our wedding venue/​décor. Joanne kept us updated throughout the process, discussed all changes with us, and even delivered the flowers to Nashville IN the morning of our wedding. Joanne is a very creative and skilled florist and by allowing her to add several creative touches, our flowers turned out so much more beautiful than we had originally imagined. We would definitely recommend the White Orchid to anyone having a wedding in the Bloomington IN area.

Joanne is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about her craft and field. I came to her requesting ALL out of season (spring) flowers for my October wedding – she carefully substituted all the flowers with in-​season alternatives of very similar shape and spot on color matching. I was almost in tears when I saw how beautiful my flowers looked – it was more than I could have imagined! I was absolutely blown away. Love this florist – if you want someone who is honest, knowledgeable, and professional – White Orchid is your go-​to!

My family said this was the nicest bouquet they had ever received: fragrant, long lasting and very colorful. The florist was very courteous and efficient and called me when one of the specific flowers she was going to use ended up not being available due to circumstances beyond her control. I will definately use White Orchid again!

My husband and I are currently stationed in Maryland, but were getting married in Bloomington, IN. Joanne had an extremely wide knowledge base about flowers and what would work well with each other. With only 3 months to plan a wedding, she had wonderful prioritization and an enormous amount of flexibility as well; she even modified our centerpieces the day before the wedding! They were very prompt with everything and the bouquet and centerpieces looked PHENOMENAL! Great job guys! Highly recommend them if you are in the area!

I came to Bloomington to help my mom with some of my little sisters wedding plans. Who knew how many details go into wedding plans?! Linens have to compliment flowers? I was really out of my element when I tagged along to The White Orchid but Joanne was incredible friendly and helpful. She and my sister AND my mom totally vibed. It’s like they were all soul sisters. Joanne really knows her flowers and had several photos of previous floral arrangements that can all be modified for your event. Not that you have to choose a pre-​made floral arrangement. Joanne can customize arrangements for your event and I can almost guarantee they will be gorgeous. The wedding is in October and I will be sure to update with photos!
