History

Established in 1932.

The Indiana Memorial Union building opened in 1932 and house a smaller hotel in its West tower. The Biddle Hotel and Conference Center was added to the Indiana Memorial Union in 1960 and named after the IMUs first director Ward Gray Biddle. The center hosts 189 guest rooms and approximately 50,000 square feet of meeting space. The Indiana Memorial Union is one of the largest student unions in the world, and for many IU Grads, a home away from home.
