Good food and great pizza. Food prices are average, beer imports can be pricey. Older place and could use some sprucing up. Wait staff works very hard.

This was our first visit, we went there on a Friday night. They had live music(a guy and a guitar) he was alright. The waitress was nice and helpful in picking food. We had wings, loaded chips and ordered a large pep and onion pizza and lots of alcoholic drinks. The food was good, the pizza was really good. We’ll definitely order pizza from there.

Irish pub situated in the tri-city neighborhood of Blacklick, Gahanna and New Albany. The parking is bountiful and there is easy exit and entrance here off Reynoldsburg — New Albany Road and Clark State. I pass this location often and decided to finally stop in for a bite to eat and a drink. Upon entering we were greeted by a welcoming staff member who were eager to please. We sat at the bar amongst many others that we realized later were regulars. The indoor dining area was right next to the bar and I noticed many kids who sat with their families. First impressions didn’t strike me as the family friendly pub but I will go with it. I have heard from a few friends that the pizza and wings is great here along with the burger. I came with my husband and we settled on pizza and wings and wanted to save the burger as a second visit option. We drank a few cocktails while we waited and took the vibe in. There are plenty of TVs to catch your favorite sports game. They had golf, hockey and football on tonight. The bar was very comfortable and a good size that it fit quite a bit of people without feeling cramped. Back to why we came, pizza and wings. We ordered the 10″ pizza(size of a house plate) that was full of toppings(we ordered a make your own with pepperoni, sausage, mushroom and peppers) The pizza was crispy throughout and a perfect size to share. It’s not the best pizza I have had but not the worst. The wings were a decent price(10 for $ 7.50) and they were meaty. They were a little over fried for my taste and lacked sauce, even though the sauce was laddled on top. It was sweet not spicy like we thought. The name was spicy BBQ and I expected some heat. Disappointed. I left satisfied with our bill, got great and attentive service but wasn’t «wowed.» This is a local hangout spot for the residences nearby but not my first choice of a hangout. I must be missing something but willing to come back again.

This is a great neigborhood bar/pub. Fantastic people and wonderful service. The pizza and wings are delicious. Great patio for the summers and special music event. Always a fun time to be had here.

Stopped in here on the way home and it was a great choice. Delicious food the burger was outstanding both the Blacklick burger and the patty melt burger. Excellent fries with some malt vinegar they were wonderful. If you’re a beer person they have quite a few options.

Stopped in here for the first time tonight with my wife. Had always wanted to try it and am really glad we did. I started with a beer — great price for draft — and the fried chicken livers. Not something you see everywhere and they were great! If you like livers, try these. Nice crunch then that great chicken liver texture. Wife and I both had burgers — she had a regular burger and I went with the Blacklick burger. Both burgers had great flavour, cooked nicely. Not one of those trendy«brioche bun» burgers, but a good quality bar burger they should be very proud of. Heard customers saying good things about the wings and saw a pizza that looked good, so we are already planning to return. Love this out of the way neighbourhood type place.

Decent size bar space, bar staff has always been nice but watch out if you are not Cleveland’s brown fan. Plenty of TVs to watch any games, and a large patio outside with seating during summer. The pizza is unbelievably good and their breakfast specials are great if u can make it in.

This place is quite the local find… The pizza that they serve may be amongst the best in the area, and has a great patio for concerts in the summer time. The staff is always willing to go above and beyond. My favorite time visiting this establishment was dominating a huge pizza with my girlfriend, and looking at the ads under the table top. Pop in, have a cold one, and enjoy! There breakfast is also something that you should experience in your life… $ 5, and more than you can eat!

I first discovered Flanagan’s Blacklick back when I worked third shift. They would open up at 7AM, and me and my buddy would hit it up for some good breakfast food and some beers. I have now joined the majority of the world and work a first shift job(usually), so drinking in the morning doesn’t happen quite as often as it used to. I still visit every so often in the evenings, and pizza is my go to food item. We normally get a large and split it among friends. They have a large outdoor patio which is great for enjoying during the summer(if you can get a seat), and there are often live bands that they bring in. Service is normally quick and friendly. The beer selection isn’t great, as others have mentioned, but I do enjoy a Yuengling, which they always have.

Looking for a patio with music? Flanagan’s has a great spot for you. Beer selection is that of a typical bar consisting of domestics. I love craft beer and wish they had a great pale ale or Belgian on, but the patio makes up for that for sure. Food consists of again typical bar food, but everything is good. If you are in the area I would suggest you give it a chance.

Great bar with okay food. We love the patio with the kids in the summer and enjoy Cliff Cody when he’s there. We usually get the pizza but the sandwiches are good too. Free popcorn and cold beer is the real draw here along with the patio.

The *other* Flanagan’s is such a mixed bag of stars for me. So… here’s the breakdown on what they do well … and not so well. Flanagan’s, for me, is close to home(five stars for proximity). On busy nights they have a bar side and a restaurant side(five stars, since I can take the kids to the family-friendly restaurant side or go solo/with wife on the bar side). Flanagan’s offers up some pretty decent entertainment and they sport an awesome patio for those warmer months(four and a half stars). On most nights you will find the place filled with locals who all seem to know each other. On weekends, it’s a bit more crowded(especially in summer months with the entertainment/patio). Service at Flanagan’s is sometimes spotty — always friendly, but sometimes inattentive(two stars). The beer, for what really appears to be a «dive bar» is a bit pricey and the Guinness just never tastes right(lack of pours/not cleaning out the lines is my best guess). It took me a while to find the right beer on tap from a price/taste standpoint. Flanagan’s has a decent menu. The pizza is pretty good and the fried pork sandwich is so damn good that my mouth is watering as I type(they do the red onion the right way — sliced nice and thin). This place also has, frankly, one of the best burgers that you will find in the Columbus area. If you love burgers, it’s worth a visit just for that. Seriously — get the burger. Did I mention that the burger is really good? Overall, with heavy weight being given to proximity and burgers, I have to give Flanagan’s four stars. For just grabbing a beer during happy hour. .. .well, that’s another story.

I enjoy having a pub/restaurant out in the middle of Blacklick since I leave out here. The employees and owners are friendly and you can feel the ‘family’ vibe. The outdoor patio in the summer with a pizza and beer is the best, you can’t go wrong.

This place was interesting. Kind of out in the middle of nothing and then all of a sudden — oh, look! A bar! I came here for a work happy hour and it was a welcome change from the Max & Erma’s on Broad(where we typically go). Had a laid-back divey feel and your standard no-fuss bartenders and patrons. Considering we were there around 3, I was actually surprised a few other people were there. Regulars, I suppose. I did feel for the bartender, as it appeared no one had called ahead to warn her 40 people might be showing up soon. Overall though, she totally held her own and got all of our orders taken care of. We didn’t eat so I can’t speak to the food, but the beer selection was pretty basic. Maybe I’m spoiled living near so many bars that pride themselves on their local and craft brew selections. About 8 beers on draft, including Guinness, Killians, Bud, etc. and a couple seasonals from Sam Adams and Blue Moon. Doubt that I’ll be back unless another work outing takes me to this place, but I’m really glad we discovered an alternative that could handle a large group!

This is my first review and I think that Flanagan’s was worthy. My wife and I tried it because it was close and the other reviews were all positive. The service was great and the burgers were fantastic and the prices were fair. The atmosphere is ok, it’s got a little neighborhood bar feel to it. We will definitely be back.

A little different than that frat house on Sawmill. Not a bad place. I am always looking for those holes in the wall, and this is one of those gems. It is hard to get a place like this considering that everything around the Gahanna-New Albany area has popped up out of no where in the last decade, so finding a place that is not brand new and with a little character is nice. You walk in and it is a half hearted attempt at being an Irish pub but it works! Not to say they didnt do a good job but it it could have been anything, they went with an Irish theme. I noticed they recently got new tv’s behind the bar which are very nice. It is one of those unique spaces where you dont feel too crammed even when it is packed, but at the same time even when it is dead, it still feels cozy and not cold. That’s for the winter months. For the spring and summer, this place has a rockin patio. The first time i showed up here was in the summer and i bypassed the whole inside and went around back. They have a full service bar and plenty of space. They had a performer Cliff Cody, great choice for this atmosphere. He was up there singing acoustically with a Bob Seger-esque voice. Everyone was tuned in and dancing or at least bobbing their heads, even the group of Golden Buckeye members that commandeered a spot right up front were loving the music. I didnt mention this earlier but this place is also a place where you find it all. Something about it where you could have a staff of Abercrombie and Fitchers having a happy hour behind you, a couple of construction workers having a after work drink next to you, the local who hasnt left his post at the corner of the bar, a couple resembling my parents on the other side. This place makes every one feel right at home. As for the food. Typical bar food. Pizzas are really good. Rest of the food, hit or miss i would say. But the real gem and i dont think many people know about this is the breakfast! No to many places are out there that do it all but this place does. If you love the Flanagans on Sawmill, this might not be the place for you. But if you are looking for a great dive bar, do yourself a favor, stop in.

Nice little diving bar kind of between Gahanna/Reynoldsburg. We all got hamburgers. Husband has been talking about them for years. Now that I eat meat he is on a mission to take me to his favorites. This was a really good hamburger. Nicely seasoned, not to big not to small, toasted bun and homemade french fries. I would recommend folks to give it a try if they are in the area.

The *other* Flanagan’s in Columbus — although this one does not have sand volleyball courts, they do have a mannequin on the roof wearing a Tim Couch jersey … ?? I didn’t notice if they had a kitchen for food but the bar had your standard selection of brews plus a couple of crafts. The back patio had a small stage with a huge shark(I imagined Jimmy Buffet-type acts strumming Margaritaville here) but no one was playing at the time of my visit. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon based solely on its location from me but I can see why this place is probably a cool local hangout for people that live nearby.
