Steve Dutcher Photography

Steve Dutcher is AMAZING! We did our engagement shoot in Mammoth on 1÷29÷16, so Steve drove up from Bishop. We did our wedding on 3÷5÷16 in Southern California, so Steve drove down from Bishop. Steve does BOTH photograph and video-​graphy. Steve has previewed several of our pictures on Facebook, and our family and friends LOVED them. Steve was there the whole day from start to finish with A LOT of driving.
Steve started the day by driving to Corona to take pictures of my husband getting ready, then Steve drove to Brea to take pictures of me getting ready. I was at a Salon Suite with my bridesmaids from 7 a.m. — 2 p.m. Steve was really patient, and worked with our changing schedule. Then we went to Craig Regional Park to take first look pictures before we headed to the venue in Whittier. At the venue, we took more pictures before and after the wedding. Steve even did a night shoot which looks AMAZING.
I just can’t say enough good things about Steve Dutcher. Steve Dutcher will be our family photographer for years to come! He’s THAT GOOD!

Steve shot my sister’s wedding 3 years ago, so when we were looking for a viedographer for our wedding, and we heard that Steve was doing videography, we knew he would do an excellent job. He knows how to get all of the natural shots and also how to direct you for what will look good on viedo. My mother in law wanted to live stream the wedding for people that couldn’t be there and although the internet was too slow to make this possible at our wedding venue, he got us an unedited version of the ceremony that we could share only hours later. He got our «highlights video to us only a few weeks after the wedding and it’s amazing! He did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend him again and again if you are looking for someone professional who is a wonderful artist. Can’t speak highly enough!

Steve did an amazing job with both our engagement photos and our wedding at Mammoth Mountain on 8÷15÷15. The photos and videos were awesome and we highly recommend his services. He is great to work with and makes you feel like a rockstar in front of the camera!

My husband and I highly recommend Steve Dutcher to anyone who is looking for a great photographer. We love his professionalism, responsiveness, flexibility and calming personality. He is not only a very artistic photographer, but also a great skier, which was exactly what we were looking for. Our ceremony took place on the top of Mammoth Mountain and Steve shot some amazing photos during the ceremony, as well as afterwards as we skied down the mountain. The photos look absolutely beautiful. We are so glad we found Steve and we couldn’t be any happier with our photos.

Steve is an incredible photographer! My husband and I could not be happier with both our engagement pictures and our wedding photos. Steve is so easy to get along with and makes you feel very comfortable while he works with you. In spite of the unique challenges of both photo sessions (it was dumping snow for the engagement session and we skied/​snowboarded at the wedding) the photos were better than anything I could have hoped for!
I really can’t say enough good things, he was such a professional, flexible and very understanding of all of the potentially stressful parts of the wedding day. With all of the questions I had about the big day my photographer was never one of them and that took away a great deal of stress for me.
As a side note, Steve’s wife, Leah. was our DJ and she was amazing too! They make an amazing team :)
Bottom line: Hire Steve (and his wife is you need a DJ) you will not be disappointed!

Steve is amazing! He photographed our wedding in October at Benton Hot Springs and did a fantastic job. He was able to cat wrangle our massive family and produce great photos. He’s turn around was crazy fast. We got our proofs in under 2 weeks, while our friends, who got married in September, waited 8 weeks for proofs from their photographer.

Steve was the photographer for our wedding, he did an AMAZING job! He has also some some family photos for us as well. He has an incredible eye and captures the most beautiful pictures. I highly recommend him for any occasion.

If you want the best photographer this side of the Mississippi, then look no further that Steve Dutcher! Seriously… don’t waste your time checking with anybody else.
I have used the services of Steve Dutcher photography several times and continue to be amazed with the end product. And this is coming from someone who HATES to have his picture taken. I am usually always the one behind the camera so I don’t wind up in any of the pictures. But when Steve Dutcher has the camera, I don’t worry because I know they are going to come out great.
You want photos in places where most photographers won’t go? Call Dutcher! I wanted Christmas card pictures in the Aspen trees with snow. Not a problem. We took off up Line to Intake II where Steve proceeded to dig a path in the snow for us to walk into the area without disturbing the snow that would appear in our photos. This guy thinks of everything! He can see the photograph in his head before he clicks the shutter! The last time I scheduled him for some photos, the weather turned sour. Dark clouds, wind, hail, etc. I called Steve to cancel and he said, «NO WAY… this weather will be awesome in the photos.» So against my better judgment, we went out. He wasn’t kidding… the photos came out great!
I will end this by saying what I said in the first paragraph. Don’t waste your time shopping around for photographers! If you are here looking at Steve Dutcher, you’ve found the best. There is no need to look any further!

When my husband (then fiancé) and I got engaged in October, we contacted Steve Dutcher to take engagement /​holiday pictures of us with our 3 large dogs which turned out to be no easy feat!!! Our dogs were not cooperating and wanted to jump into the creek, the weather was acting up and it was super windy but the pictures turned out beautifully! Once we set our wedding date, he was the very first vendor we booked.
My husband and I are not the biggest fan of having our pictures taken — especially in a «don’t look at the camera but pose like this» kind of way. Steve has the ability to make his subjects very comfortable in front of the camera and has the incredible gift of getting totally amazing shots even when the weather or lighting are working against him.
This weekend, Steve travelled from Bishop to Anaheim to take our wedding pictures and I would not have trusted anyone else to capture our special day on film. I have yet to see all the pictures but those that I have seen have taken my breath away!!!
I wholeheartedly recommend Steve Dutcher for anyone looking for a photographer. You will not regret using him for your photos!!!
