Virtuoso Salon

They do a fabulous job! I’ve gone elsewhere and the other salons do not compare. My color always looks great and the cut grows out very nicely.

I’ve been visiting Virtuoso since I had my makeup/​hair done for my wedding, ten years ago. I’ll confess that I was wary… a Birmingham salon, smack-​dab on the corner of Woodward, Old Woodward, and Lincoln. To my great pleasure, just about everyone here has been wonderful and keep me coming back!
Overall: it’s really lovely inside, and you’re greeted promptly, with an offer of something to drink (I always get tea, with their pretty cups and saucers). The waiting room is also the makeup salon, and they have plenty of magazines to leaf through while you wait. The entire space is very airy and light-​filled.
Although the sinks and color stations are one large room in the back, each stylist has their own enclosed little area for cuts and styling, which is very nice if you’re a bit self-​conscious (like me). After you look fabulous, they make a point to walk you up front and chat (even though there’s a dedicated receptionist to check you out), the customer service really is excellent.
I’ve had one manicure here which was decadent, and one pedicure which was NOT, but that one was years ago so I can’t knock a star off.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this salon!!!
