My wax was just okay. I understand that the more you wax the easier it gets to bare the pain. The pain wasn’t so much the issue but the hair that was left over was. I had plenty of hair left over after my «BRAZILIAN» wax. If I go in fir a Brazilian in expecting the whole muff to be buffed. I want my skin free of the wax residue and to not have to come home and finish the job. Good thing going was that it was a nice and clean environment with a professional staff.

First time getting a Brazilian and Erin was great! She talked me through everything and made me feel at ease. Quick, efficient and relatively not as painful as I would have expected. Excellent job! Super clean, great pricing and discounts and friendly staff.

Went to Royal Oak location last week and had Lauren as my practitioner. For a first timer here, she made me feel like I had been to her before. She was efficient and professional. Will definitely recommend and be back.

I’ve been to Georgi’s Waxing Studio several times as I used to work right in downtown Birmingham. It was great getting waxed during my lunch hour as they would do a great and quick job. A few times, they have been able to fit me in for last minute appointments so I really appreciated that as well. I usually do the brazilian and underarm package and it is a really good deal. The waxing itself is very painless, but I do get waxed often so I might be used to the actual pain. The location is great, the waxers and receptionist are very polite and friendly, and the overall experience is really seamless. I am planning on coming here again!

I wouldn’t consider asking your clients to review you «buying reviews» … not everyone likes to review businesses and it is simply an incentive for someone to review. Unilocal makes it sound so bad.

I love Georgi’s. They were very efficient and quick! I was in and out, and if you are running late they will call you to make sure you found the building. Great customer service.
The Brazilian wax was literally 15 minutes and painless. She even did a special service that closed the pores and reduced redness immediately after the wax. She got everything and it feels so much less irritated than I expect with a typical Brazilian wax. Highly recommend this salon!

I’ve been coming here for 4 months and I really enjoy this place. Granted, I do not love the act of reviving a brazillian wax, but they make it as relaxing as possible. And that I appreciate. They are always prompt. I’ve only waited 10 minutes once. Other than that, they are timely and always take their time dealing with such a delicate area of the body.

I’ve been going to Georgi for two years now and I will not see anyone else for my waxing needs. Know that they are constantly booked, so book your appointments ahead of time (I book mine two months out). The salon is rigid regarding their schedules. I appreciate the fact that they don’t allow people to come to their appointments late, because it keeps others appointments on time. But there could be some flexibility in regard to rescheduling especially for regular customers.
As far as the service is concerned, if you’re getting a Brazilian… it’s probably going to «hurt”/be uncomfortable. I mean, what do you expect?! Prepare yourself, relax, and breath. It’s simply a fact of life, so I don’t understand the complaints about the pain. Since when was getting hair ripped from your body (in any location) a pleasant experience? They sell a numbing cream that I use faithfully (you can buy a sample to try before you invest $ 30 in the full bottle).
FYI: You need to understand your hair’s growth cycle. You may get a Brazilian/​bikini wax and have some hair left over because your hair grows in different cycles. If you can tolerate tweeting after the wax (god bless you if you can) then ask that those hairs are tweezed afterward.

I’ve been to a couple places, and maybe I’m too picky, but I honestly cannot say one bad thing about this place. Maybe make sure you have time to book. They’re normally booked full the week of.

Georgi’s offers the best care I have found in the city for Brazilians and general waxing. High priestesses to wax couture perform their quiet rituals with competence and grace, engaging clients in a disarming, gentle manner. I initially winced at the higher price point, but some things in life deserve their financial due. I make my devotions here with a converted heart.
Yani and I have a standing date on Friday nights every five or six weeks. I breeze into the calming confines of Georgi’s waxing studio and there she is waiting for me, dark hair stylishly swept up and a chic dress, all ready to go. She hands me a cute little terrycloth wrap and, for the next forty minutes, I’m all hers.
Some women are nervous about committing to body waxing, but I hardly bat an eyelash any more. The aestheticians here keep a close relationship with their clients, and Yani invariably asks how work is, the project we last talked about, whether I actually got out to Chicago or the trip was postponed. In turn I hear how things are going, the oddities of working in Birmingham, and life in general. Time flies with each strip of wax in the immaculate studios that have a whiff of surgical hygiene combined with soothing features. At a time when cleanliness should literally be next to godliness, I appreciate these details.
The process was next to painless, and Yani’s experience shows when she works around typically sensitive areas with quick, precise gestures. She has been eminently gentle when required, speedy when needed. At the end of the day, I come out feeling only a minimal bit of discomfort that soon fades — the mark of an expert in action.

Let’s face it – getting waxed, no matter which way you slice it, isn’t fun. But Georgi’s gets pretty close to enjoyable as you’re ever going to get when you’re getting your hair ripped out from you.
Heading to California for a week and a half and I decided I didn’t quite want to deal with shaving while I was on the road so I decided to get my legs waxed for the first time. OUCH. But… a baby ouch. It was far less painful than I anticipated and I attribute that 100% to the awesome skillz of Amanda. She was friendly, easy to chat with, and incredibly efficient. It wasn’t pleasant but it wasn’t incredibly painful either. Just generally kind of a quick sting. I thought to myself «I could definitely do this more often.»
I had a few services which took just under an hour which was also much faster than I anticipated as well, which was a bonus. 20% off of one service for a first time customer also made this a relatively cheap experience, compared to other waxing studios/​salons, anyway. The room was clean, private and comfortable. The «bed» I lounged on was covered in a super soft, fuzzy blanket which made me feel extra comfy and cozy. All and all a really fantastic experience!
So happy to know that when I have a special occasion or a vacation to get snazzy for, Georgi’s is there to help a girl out. Huzzah!
