Just bought my first ‘adult’ bike at Cahaba Cycles a few days ago. Caitlin was so patient and took time to explain things to me (I walked in as a complete beginner knowing nothing about bikes!) — she really was wonderful. Everyone working there made it such a fun, non-intimidating experience. Love this store!

I had a great experience renting from Cahaba Cycles! The Pelham branch is the one that runs the rentals, but they brought my rental up to the Homewood branch since it was much more convenient for me. For the road bike, it was $ 40 for the first day and $ 10 for any extra day thereafter. They just run it on a 24 hour period=day system so you get to keep the bike for every hour you pay for. I went 2:30 Saturday ’til 2:30 Monday for $ 50. They gave me a super fresh Trek bike that rode like a charm (as far as I know about bikes).
The guys here were super friendly and helpful. We got some good bike shops in this city. I will certainly be doing a lot of business with these guys as I found them the most friendly and genuinely interested and helpful crew.

The staff was friendly, and the store offers an in-house repair shop. There’s a decent gear/accessory/bicycle selection with plenty of quality brands to choose from: Trek, Gary Fisher, and my personal favorite, Cannondale (originally manufactured in my hometown in PA). I just picked up a replacement seat for my wife’s bicycle, and the employee at the counter also set me up with some old innertubes for a project I was doing.
