This review starts with a phone call to Frank. I was searching for the perfect lunch spot on the water, on our road trip from NOLA to Miami. The white sand beaches and sparkling water had us in a Caribbean mood and we wanted to go somewhere where we could sit outside, have a cocktail and some amazing seafood. The Salty Oyster was paradise, as Frank promised. He made us custom cocktails, we sat at his bar — which felt like an island beach resort bar! We had wonderful conversation, the food was fresh and amazing, the entire staff was wonderful. So glad we came here, a memory for sure and we’ll be back! Thanks to Frank!!!

Great place for drinks and little bites. Would like to see slight more variety of non-fried foods on the menu or at least more foods that are fresh and not tainted with cheese and mayo. The service and view are both excellent. I will definitely return.

Sitting at the outdoor bar, hanging out with the bartender Julian makes for a really nice afternoon! Just had the mahi tacos=two tacos, fries. Lotsa food for $ 12.95. The tacos alone would’ve been enough! Really good blackened spice. You order at one spot for food(cash/cards) and then head over to a separate bar area where there’s couches and lotsa bar seating. They have a good selection of local craft beers. The bartender did a great job of explaining the tastes and hoppy-ness of each beer and what would pair well with our meals. The bartender explained that the owner of Shaggys also owns this place, but that they are completely different restaurants. We love Shaggys, so it’s nice to have a reliable alternative. Honestly, though, the best reason to come here is def the sea breeze and the view! You can see all the way down the beach from this spot and it catches the wind off the gulf nicely. I can’t totally see how this place will get popular though(and maybe attract some loud/drunk tourists…) so, check it out soon before it gets suuuuuuper busy and you can’t get a seat. They have beach access too, so it’ll make some easy-access fun if they have any fests!

Bright lights(and reviews) brought us in, as does everything when in Biloxi. Oysters were pretty damn good, crown/coke was strong but I would never complain. Only thing I didn’t like was the toddlers running around the bar.

Super cool spot to chill and be on the beach in Biloxi. The surroundings are fun and modern and the staff are super friendly and talented. The oysters — bar none– are the best I have ever eaten! The char-grilled oysters were my favorite until I tried the oysters Rockefeller. OMG! Most places that make oysters Rockefeller fail and all you taste is spinach something. These are freshly cooked and expertly prepared. You can taste the oyster, the fresh ingredients and they are worth every penny.

We came her first on a Sunday for light lunch before checking into our hotel. The seafood was extremely fresh, I ordered the shrimp basket, boiled and with fries. The atmosphere was on the beach, which was really beautiful to look out to. And the bartender made his special drink. Overall, quick, fresh and simple.

Wow waitress Christina, and bar dudes Jared and Tim are awesome!!! They keep it fun!!! Only thing, don’t do karaōke every weekend. Switch it up. Play some good tunes sometimes on the weekends and do karaōke on the weekdays some weeks

The Salty Oyster is different than other restaurants on the beach, it’s much more laid back. You walk right up to the shipping containers for food and drinks and pick where on the deck you want to sit and hang out. There is no inside restaurant you are forced to walk through, so if you’ve been laying out on the beach all day you don’t feel out of place, your beach bum attire is acceptable. This is my new favorite spot! On top of the great atmosphere, the food and drinks are amazing as well! They had a mojito flight that consisted of 3 different types of mojitos, very refreshing! If you want to stay and hang out, they have corn hole and … more drinks :)

This place is really cool. We stopped off on our way to New Orleans just trying to grab some fresh seafood but we were pleasantly surprised by the awesome staff. We started with some smoked tuna dip, which was awesome, and finished with some oysters. These oysters were aweeeesssoommmmeee! So fresh and obviously prepared with some love. Besides the food though, we encountered two interesting bartenders who weren’t only helpful while ordering but conincentally shared the same birthday as my girlfriend! Their names were jarod and Julian! Julian also made the most amazing kiwi Rita drink. Big shout out to our server too. I forget her name but she was super sweet! Cool place. Great food and good staff. Keep it up Geo!

I have had the great pleasure to try the Salty Oyster several weeks ago. Ever since then I have been eating there twice a week. The cheeseburger is mouth watering and it is accompanied by the best fries. The service is great and everyone is extremely friendly. So if your looking for a good meal with a sea breeze the Salty Oyster is the place. Great for a first date or a family outing.
