South Beach Biloxi

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The room and view is awesome. So you’re probably wondering why I rate a 1 star. The last day of trip we rented a boat for the day. When we returned, my wife noticed her pocketbook was moved and 100 $ bill was missing. This hotel does not provide a safe to lock valuables in. I was not mad at hotel. Sometime we hire people that make bad choices. I filed a report with the front desk, with a lady named Monique. She assured me a manager would contact me with a resolution. I was not concerned with the cash. I was more concerned with the credit card numbers that could have been taken. So at this point I was still not upset with the hotel. But here it is 2 days later and no call. Not even an apology. So if you stay here, be sure to take anything of value with you. This is not the way a vacation should end. My husband and I spent 3 nights last week. This was our 5^th stay at this hotel. Over the past 5 years there have been some great improvements but also some big problems. First let me say that the hotel is beautiful and the location can not be beat. The improvements: the wifi has gotten much better. I didn’t have any connection issues during my most recent stay. Next, the pool is much more clean and clear since a switch to salt water. Last, there has been an attempt to upgrade some of the furniture particularly the couches in the rooms. Now for the bad. My husband called a few days before our stay to add an extra day. When he called there was no answer twice. Finally, he spoke to a rude person who informed us that our reservation had been cancelled. After a few awkward minutes on the phone she did find our reservation and added the extra day. This problem with some rude staff members has been a problem with all of our stays. Some of the staff (Diana and Chelsea) are fantastic and are always pleasant to deal with and others (including housekeeping) are rude and very short with you. As far as our stay this trip we had a problem checking in. We called on our way to the hotel from New Orleans to inquiry about check-​in. Chelsea was very pleasant and told us we could check in as soon as we got to Biloxi. We arrived and checked in and were given our keys. We went to the room and the door would not open. When the key card was swiped the light turned green and when you pushed the door it appeared locked. We then went back down 5 floors with a full luggage cart to report our problem. We were given keys to another room after checking to make sure it was the same type of room we requested. Up 4 floors with the luggage cart and the room was not what we had requested (we asked for a balcony door off the living room not the bedroom.)
Back down to 3 again and finally we got our keys and unpacked and hit the beach. Do yourself a favor when you first check in. CHECK EVERYTHING!!! The bed, shower, kitchen items etc. Make sure they are all in good order and that the room is clean. It wasn’t until later that night when we went to bed that we realized that the bed was so broken down that when you laid on it you rolled right into the middle. By the time we figured this out it was late so we decided to tough it out. WORST NIGHT SLEEP!!! The next morning my husband went down and explained the problem and the rude person at the front desk remarked with a giggle that we had already had quite a few problems with rooms. We were given new keys and we spent the next hour packing, moving and unpacking. I was pleased that when I left something in the previous room someone from housekeeping brought them to my new room. When she did I asked for another blanket for the bed and more towels she explained it would be difficult because their laundry suppliers dryer was broken but she’d see what she could do. She did find a bedspread and 2 skimpy little bath towels. The final straws were a broken coffee maker, lots of normal things missing or unusable condition in the kitchen and a shower that dripped all night. Also, we thought we had out smarted the dripping shower when we closed the pocket door but the door just kept sliding open every time it was closed and no way to keep it closed as the lock is on the inside of the bathroom. After a few minor problems and calls to the front desk that went unanswered. The phone just rings and rings.
Finally my husband went to check out. He explained our concerns to Diana and she was very nice and explained she would have a manager call us. We checked out on Friday morning and as of today (Monday morning) there had been no call. We will continue to stay at the South Beach because it is the only hotel on the beach and that is important but I would hope that there will be improvements to the staff and upgrades to their attention to detail. The South Beach Biloxi should be glad they have no competition for accommodations on the beach.

Will stay here again. Clean room with very comfortable bed and linens. Housekeeping is wonderful. All staff friendly and helpful. On negative side: bathroom fans in our room and in neighbors rooms are so so loud. This and some other things showing signs of use. Lastly, the shower head is clogged and produces only annoying drops of water to shower by. And the living room furniture is not comfortable. I would still come back. Great view from our jr suite.

While there are several casinos and mega hotels lined up along Beach Blvd. in Biloxi, opt for the cozy yet spacious South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites for a suite-​style, family-​friendly lodging. As Biloxi’s only hotel located directly on the beach, this all-​suite hotel offers a breathtaking, panoramic view of the gulf from the balcony where you can watch the sun rise or catch a sunset. Some suites are also equipped with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and other amenities to provide a feel of being at home.

Absolutely a lovely place to stay. Beautiful rooms, very clean, gorgeous view and very nice staff. I will stay there again!
The beach was steps away and a great place to walk and reflect. It was a bit littered with trash and dead fish but still very nice. Close to some great restaurants.

Perfect location for the non casino crowd. Accessible to Biloxi and Ocean Springs. Spacious and clean rooms, very friendly staff. Relaxing ocean from bar. Easy fre Hope to stay again soon!

The rooms are dated. My view was a parking lot after I requested an ocean view! The staff was ok

Based on some of the reviews I was skeptical about staying here however it was amazing. The room was immaculate and spacious. It is perfect for those who do extended vacations with children since it offers a fully furnished modern kitchen, pull out couch, and a 1 ½ bath. The bed was so comfortable that I slept through my 8:30 am alarm. It was nice to wake up to a balcony view of the beach where I sat and drank my morning coffee.
My only minor complaint is the water pressure in the shower is a bit low to my preference and their isn’t a fitness center only two treadmills in this small room. Other than that it was a great stay.

I stayed here in March for a week and was very impressed. The room was very clean, had a great view and the staff were courteous and attentive.
I recommend this place to anyone as long as they keep a room for me.

My family booked this hotel through Groupon for a wk long vaca over Spring Brk. It looked great in the pics & the room was. Upon check in we got an upgrade to a partial ocean view.
I has a couple of problems w/​the hotel:
1. The parking is annoying esp if you drive a large vehicle. You can park on the 2^nd level of the garage if you’re lucky & are good @ maneuvering tight turn arounds or the 1^st level for just 15 min when you check in. There are luggage movers, when they’ve been returned, by the elevators. The majority of our week stay we parked in the open lot.
2. If you’re doing construction, warn guests or move them ahead of time to rooms away from the noise. It’s a ridiculously frustrating thing to be woken up @ 7:30 on vacation by pounding & sawing. I let it go the 1^st day but I called the front desk & complained the 2^nd. A front desk guy hung up on me as I complained! He called back saying they would move us. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom w/​ocean view.
3. Around 1 am the smoke detector starts beeping in the master bedroom. The front desk sends 2 guys 30 min later saying they can’t find a ladder. They used the empty mini fridge to stand on & unplug it.
4. I found dirty stuff that looked like poop on a towel. I took this to the front desk when we checked out. I wanted to make sure they didn’t just patronize me & not believe me like they seem to do a lot. The woman just says gross & took the nasty thing.
5. The couch is extremely uncomfortable. This usually isn’t a big deal but my husband had to sleep on it several nights d/​t a cough he was getting over.
6. The stocked kitchen was a great thing except the blender made a terrible noise, began smoking & got really hot. I quickly unplugged it. Thankfully it didn’t catch on fire!
Several things I liked about the hotel:
1. The housekeeping, mechanics, etc i.e. blue collar workers were so nice & helpful. If the office or front desk staff learned a few things from them, this would be an amazing place to stay!
2. We got a great large room w/​an incredible ocean view for a wk for $ 778 including tax after being upgraded.
3. I loved the oversized bathtub big enough for me to lay down in.
4. The room was updated & modern incl a stack washer/​dryer, dishwasher, patio, kitchen w/​dishes, etc.
I really liked the Biloxi area. I don’t think I would want to stay down around the casinos with a family; too much smoke, crowds etc. I would def come back on vacation & might stay @ South Beach Hotel.

I stayed here over the Thanksgiving Hoilday while visiting my brother.
Let me tell you I can not have asked for a better experience. I will stay here again and refers friends also. The manager there Nancy Hosli is the BEST !!! Thanks for your GREAT southern hospitality !!!

My first impression when we entered the room, «Looks just like the pictures on their website! Nice!» And it was — very. This was our first trip to the Gulf Coast, and if we make it back, we will stay here again.
It is more like a vacation condo rental, as the kitchen pix reflect. But, if you plan to cook in, you need to plan on a stop to pick up a few extras.
Gorgeous beach! We arrived on hump week after the end of «Season» and practically had a private beach with gorgeous weather — and Sunsets.
In-​hotel bar has a very limited food menu, but beer and drinks are cold. Free breakfasts were adequate.
Wonderful staff throughout.
Hard to beat.

Upon first glance, the room looked so nice. Very pretty and nice finishings. We checked in late with 2 sleepy kids. The pillows were dirty and obviously pillowcases were not changed. There was food left in the icebox from the previous guests that was not cleaned out. Just makes me wonder what else was not cleaned… :-/
Lastly, we paid for beach view and we are street view.

As advertised, the hotel is located on the beach and has floor to ceiling windows which were nice. Checking in took about 30 minutes, we were in a line of about 10 others attempting to check in… not a good start. I have never had that happen before.
Upon arrival to the room there was one set of wash towels so I called the front desk, they said they would have the towels in about 1 ½ hrs.
Went to breakfast around 0830, signs state that it ends at 0930, biscuits and gravy were cold and uncovered, even after I observed the staff member responsible for breakfast «check» on the area. A beverage was spilled on the floor and this same staff member wiped the floor and with the same towel, cleaned the table off, yuck!
As previously posted, the furniture and carpet had stains… not really what I expected. I can tell that it was beautiful at one time, however they have not maintained the facility. I will not be staying here again.

Great deal @ $ 169/​night during off season, accomodations are great. One bedroom, with an actual wall around the bedroom, pull out couch, full kitchen with granite countertops in a kitchenette type arrangement, (fridge, four burner stove, microwave, dishes, plates, pots, pans, glasses), ½ bath, updated and modern.
I didn’t find the elevators to be slow but we were off peak. Two elevators for a full hotel might take some time I guess.
Parking garage on bottom of facility and right on the beach.
It is more like a vacation rental and less like a hotel which is my preferred way of living while away from home anyway.

I stayed here for a weekend & it’s absolutely beautiful. Had a good view of the beach, comfy bed, nice shower, etc. Walking distance from Shaggy’s & Waffle House & it leads you right to the beach! I wish i could live here, it’s like a complete little condo! Not sure why check in time is 4pm but when I arrived from California around 9am, the guy at the front desk noticed me waiting around for awhile so he ended up letting me into the room earlier, so thanks :)
A few cons:
— Free wifi but I had to keep logging in every single time for some reason
— Continental breakfast could be better & isn’t really worth the $ 5, free coffee ²⁴⁄₇ though
— Called & asked for towels but noone came til I asked someone in the hallways
— Few stains on the bed sheets too

Wow. All those great reviews, and I have to be the A Hole. Well, okay, I am cool with that.
This one is based off our one and only visit. Now that you go tthat, here we go.
We arrived right at check in time and were greeted with a LONG line. And everyone in it looked angry. I felt like I should have handed someone my wallet and ran. But I sucked it up and joined them in line.
AT LEAST 30 minutes later (I was timing it, but cant remember the exact time, but at a minimum it was 30) we get up to where we are next to be helped. We hear the lady behind the counter tell the guy that he was supposed to check in yesterday. So off he goes to the side. The manager was walking by, but would just do fly-​bys, and left the solo lady at the conter to fend for herself. The whole check in process was a huge fiasco, but once we got in, we enjoyed our stay. The rates were great, view from patio was cool, and within walking distance to Shaggys. Just watch that check in process and brace yourself for possible shennanigans.

This place is an incredible deal. The rooms are huge and there is a separate bedroom with one and a half baths, full size refrigerator, stove, microwave and washer and dryer. Our balcony overlooks the Gulf, with a pool on the beach.
This is an incredible deal! It is better than some of the places we have gone through our Timeshare.
