These ladies were so sweet and accommodating! My husband and I went for a couples massage after biking, and we felt so good afterwards. Such a cute little place tucked away from the hustle and bustle.

My husband and I celebrated our 1^st anniversary in Big Bear, and part of our weekend we did a couples massage. This was my first and his second. They did an amazing job, almost put us to sleep! We felt like we were walking on clouds. Thank you for making it such a memorable experience!

Spotty communication. I scheduled a 1 hour massage for my wife two weeks in advance only to receive a call two nights before to reschedule for 1 hour later in the day. I accepted only to be no-​showed. We waited in front of the building for 30 minutes. I called twice and nobody answered and I still have not received a call back. She did take my credit card information when I made the reservation just in case I cancelled within 24 hours of the schedule, so perhaps I should have taken their info too.

I tried to schedule an appointment with this spa for my girlfriends birthday that we celebrated in Big Bear. I called this spa, left a message and never received a call back. Maybe they only call back locals. Two thumbs down. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I have been going to Kristen at the Hideaway for years now, and I have always been happy with my color and cut. I am someone who frequently changes my hair color and style, and she is always up for the challenge. She does a great job and would recommend her to anyone looking for a good stylist.
About a year ago my husband and I were introduced to Charmaine who does massages, and our lives have never been the same! If you are looking to be pampered, I would highly recommend Charmaine!

Charmaine does a beautiful job on massages. She also has a great deal of compassion for the clients.

Stopped in for a massage while on vacation — Wow! Charmaine is excellent. I extended my massage for 90 minutes and went back two days later for a two-​hour massage. Charmaine knows exactly where you hurt and how to fix it. Great deep tissue. I would have gone for another during my week vacation but couldn’t get on her schedule. Definitely a find!

This was an adorable, quaint little spa and salon. I can literally say that this was the best spa experience that I have ever had. Liz was an amazing missus! I have never felt so relaxed and pampered in my life. She really knows what she’s doing and takes her time. I can’t wait to go back to Big Bear just so I can go back to this salon. Highly recommend it.

Took a chance on this spa. It was close to the hotel and right next to summit so I could meet my husband after he went boarding.
What to expect: great customer service, family owned company, small little place with exceptional masseuses.
I got a combo package of a 60min massage and 60 min pedi. The massage was absolutely amazing. Heated table, relaxing and big private room, lovely Lavendar oil, and great exfoliants for the feet. She even used hot stones at no extra charge. Also, learned some good stretches to use throughout the day to loosen up my shoulders.
The pedi wasnt the best i had although it was nice to have one on the comfy masseuse table. Would definitely go back! Especially the incredible reasonable pricing! That package at a normal spa would’ve been at least $ 300 but I only paid just over $ 100 for both.

My husband and I each got Swedish massages here over the weekend and we both had great experiences. I opted for lavender aroma therapy and hot stones (no extra charge) and loved it. I felt very pampered and taken care of. Hope to go again when I stay in Big Bear next!

I came here on a Thursday toward the end of the day while on my vacation in Big Bear and was very pleasantly surprised. I came in not really expecting much and wasn’t really sure what I wanted in my massage. I’ve had a lot of massages in my life but on this particular day I didn’t really have anything specific in mind. I met Charimaine the masseuse and she asked me a few questions and just somehow knew exactly what I wanted/​needed. She was frank with me and told me she sometimes takes longer than the actual time that is paid for but to not worry I won’t pay for the additional time. To this I kinda told myself, «hah I bet it’s not that long.» Boy was I wrong! I paid for a 45 minute reflexology massage and got an hour and 15 minute whole body custom massage! And it was just fantastic. and quite possibly the best massage I’ve ever had! She knew just what I needed and I didn’t even know it. I think what really impressed me was just how much she actually cared about my health and well being. After the massage she discussed with me certain spots she found that had problems and talked with me briefly on how I will need to hydrate myself so that I may «flush» out all the toxins that were released from the massage. I really had no idea about all that and I was very thankful to have had someone discuss how that works with me. I really can’t thank you enough Charmaine! You are a wonderful masseuse and person. I’ll see you next time I come to visit Big Bear! (:

I LOVE to get a pedicure from Joy at the Hideaway Spa. You get to lay on a massage table with your back and knees supported, a warm neck wrap, soft lights, relaxing music, private room. I actually fall asleep when the warm booties are on. Then the foot and lower leg massage tops it off.

My girlfriend and I went to Hideaway for a haircut and massage. The employees were very friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable about their professions. Unfortunately, I have a dry scalp and I’ve always had a problem with this. Not any more! The hairstylist told me about this great shampoo to rid of this annoyance I’ve had forever. I’m finally dry scalp free!
As for my girlfriend. She had the 90-​min Swedish Massage. She said it was her best yet! It was also a plus seeing my girlfriend so relaxed after the massage since she has been so stressed lately.
I highly recommend Hideaway to anyone. It was nothing short of a great experience.

What keeps me going back is the excellent service, the incredible massages, the uniquely relaxing pedicures and the warm and caring attention of the owner, Joy. Hideaway is a soothing retreat in the midst of beautiful Big Bear. I love to be nurtured and get relaxed then enjoy the energy of the mountains and lake!

The Hideaway Spa & Salon is a great place for many things. I drive up to Big Bear from «down the hill» (Riverside) to get my hair cut. Great service and reasonable prices! I highly recommend you go there!
