Although I did not stay here, I had the pleasure of having lunch at the hotel’s gorgeous roof garden. My friend made reservations and when we got there, we were seated right away.
The roof garden is small and quaint with a wonderful view and the service was top notch! I had the citrus marinated prawns and it was pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. Since my friend and I haven’t seen each other in years, we were chatting away like schoolgirls and never once had to lift a finger to pour our own wine (we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio) because our waiter always came by and did it.
Service was great, food was delicious, and ambiance was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Wonderful hotel, best service I have ever seen. Just got married there this Friday and couldn’t be more thrilled to have had the pleasure of creating memories there. My wife and I will be returning very soon and especially on our anniversaries.

I’m a big fan of Peninsula. My favorite one is Paris’s. This one is too cosy that you can’t but fall in love with. It’s a French spot in the heart of Beverly Hills. Everything here is French, neatly done.

High tea service is ok, in a sloppy way. I made reservations 2 months in advance for Mother’s Day. When we arrived we were offered the corner tables, that have low seats and look like they were originally made for waiting not for sitting and eating. I made a fuss about it and was moved to an actual table. Even though the girl initially insisted there were no open tables. Which turned out to be a lie because only one other party of two showed up after us. She was on her phone and the service staff was not very professional, if you have personal issues to talk about, take it to the back, not where guests can see you.
I like the bar here, but never coming for high tea again, the Langham is much better.

I booked a meeting room for a retreat and it was a wonderful experience. It was really easy to work out a date, the food menu, and organizing the event. The workers were very helpful and on the day of the event, there were 2 staff who made sure everything went smoothly. They helped set up the technology in the room, and made sure we never ran out of tea, lemonade or water.
Lunch was served on time, everything was warm and delicious. The decorations of the board room were simple and beautiful. I will definitely come back for future events.

This is a five star plus hotel. Beyond deluxe. The Peninsula take service to the highest level. The rooms were glorious, we were delighted to find our pillowcases monogrammed with our initials. Everything is appointed beautifully with treats and nipples, iced tea or sparkling water. The lobby has a set up of tea upon your departure as well. We really enjoyed drinks on the rooftop deck. Although we did not swim we admired the beautiful pool area. We enjoyed dinner at their number one restaurant, our hostess manage to get us a private room last minute for a very special dinner at the Belvedere.
My friend and I had after dinner drinks in the lobby/​bar with a piano player. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and enjoyable. Many different patrons attend cocktails in this lobby from people seeking romance setting for a special date to high end business deals. I think one glitch may have been that the hostess didn’t realize we were staying in the hotel and couldn’t find us a place to sit immediately. Once she heard we were staying there her tune changed, I feel like this was a misstep on her behalf. She forgets the golden rule that you can’t judge a book by its cover not that we didn’t fit in. I just feel like maybe she didn’t think we were «fancy enough». Could be my perception or paranoia. Nonetheless it was a extremely tiny blip in an otherwise impeccably wonderful experience.

Customer service is ok; enjoy the jacuzzi upstairs, no one uses it and has great views of DTLA. Rooftop bar has decent food. Bar downstairs has stiff drinks but once in a while, lots of high priced escorts looking for clients, if thats your thing.

I can not say enough good things about this hotel.
From the time I booked, until the time I left, I was overwhelmed with the attention to detail displayed by The Peninsula Beverly Hills.
Before we even arrived, they were super responsive with addressing some pre-​arrival requests (cribs, ground transfers, etc.). Once here, the check-​in was painless, lasting less than a minute.
Once we were escorted to our room, the hotels manager, took the time (10 – 15 minutes) to show us around our upgraded accommodations.
We enjoyed our stay so much, we are now planning to return for an extended trip this summer (I’m also now looking into changing an upcoming stay in Manhattan to The Peninsula– New York).

My mum and I were invited to a ladies tea party here to celebrate my aunts 80^th birthday. The whole experience was incredible and we were very appreciative to the staff who made the event wonderful from start to finish.
As the party had a large group of about thirty we were given a private room downstairs. The room was set up beautifully with several members of wait staff to serve us food and drink and assist us in any way throughout the experience.
Everything was simply divine! From the décor, to the tea, to the service, to the delicious sweets.
My favorite item of the day was the small chocolate and banana balls that literally melted in my mouth. So delicious. The macaroons were also to die for, and we were gifted with a small take home bag of several different macaroons as a parting gift.
Everything was magnificent and either for a private party or upstairs in the communal room lunch time tea is definitely something you have to experience at the peninsula.

Lots people recommend this place for high tea, but I would give a negative 5 star for it! This is the most worst high tea experience and most expensive high tea I ever had in my life so far!
I have been to hundred of top-​tier world class hotels such Four Seasons, Aman, Hyatt, Ritz-​Carlton as well as some small boutique hotel. None of them have such disgusting high tea like this place!!! 2 set of afternoon high tea is 170 F*** USD but What includes in that imperial tea set? Some almost expired Milano chocolate cookies? I can buy tons of them in target! I don’t have to come here for Milano cookie! Most of the food are sooo shitty!!!

My wife and I are no strangers to nice hotel lounges so last Saturday when we were feeling a bit adventurous, we decided to tell our Über driver to take us to a nice hotel bar on the West side and he chose the Club Bar at the Peninsula.
Since we were taking a 30 minute Über from DT Los Angeles where we were staying, we were expecting it to be all that and then a bit more and it was a really excellent experience. We each ordered a glass of wine and sat at a nice table for two. The ambiance was on point, the wine was fantastic and my wife even thought that the snacks they offered were a nice touch. Our server was also courteous and helpful.
The next time we are in need of a hotel out in this side of town, the Peninsula will be considered.

We came to the Peninsula Hotel for afternoon tea in the Living Room. It’s a beautiful hotel and the Living Room was stunning. The service was great, the staff was very accommodating to our party of 6, they really went out of their way to help us set up decorations for our friend who was celebrating her bridal shower there. The food was good, I ordered the traditional tea for $ 60 and the food was enough and they had a lot of tea to choose from. They served a three tier course, the top tier are scones, second tier are sweets like tiny cakes and chocolates and the bottom tier are sandwiches. You can park valet for $ 10 as long as you get your ticket validated. This place was definitely an experience and I might go back if there is another special event I want to celebrate.

This place is not worth the money. Service is great but our bill came out to be $ 150 for two people. All we had were tea, 2 glasses of champagne, and tiny sandwiches and dessert. Bottom line is if you come in hungry most likely you will walk out hangry. It’s more of like a one time experience I’m never coming back place. If the prices aren’t too bad, I might want to sit through traffic for it. In this case, bye peninsula!

My family hosted a private event here, and it was everything that we had hoped for. Service was impeccable, and the food was wonderful. The staff was always on hand and extremely attentive by making sure we had everything we needed and that each activity happened on time. Transitioning from one food course or activity to another was seamless. The venue we had was so beautiful, and they allowed us to do our own decorating according to the party theme. We were also allowed to bring our own flowers to cut costs instead of using the house florist. Special thanks to Toby, the Director of Catering and Private Events, for helping us organize the event and make it such an amazing success!

This is one of my favorite places for high tea! The fireplace is warming, the harpist adds beautiful music to make it an even more special experience. I have celebrated with friends and family on many occasions and for many special occasions here. The staff is pleasant and let you enjoy your visit without rushing you. They are attentive without being intrusive. The variety of teas and bite size treats make it a perfect afternoon celebration getaway.

Place is amazing. BEST service from top to bottom. We had cocktails at the downstairs bar, ate dinner at belvedere, had breakfast at the restaurant on the roof, and had lunch by the pool. Every experience was just as good as the last. Food was delicious. Energy is good. People coming and going. The gym is stocked and offers eveything you need. It’s location is great and convenient. I would definitely recommend this place and I will certainly be back!

My husband took me to The Living Room for afternoon tea on my birthday. What a lovely experience. The scones were hot and fluffy, the Devonshire cream was amazing, and the jams were incredible. The tea sandwiches were delicious, and the desserts were good too. Order the house tea (Belvedere)…so wonderful. The staff was also friendly. Would definitely go back!

Stayed here for a couple of days during a visit to LA and had a wonderful time.
Service was fantastic from the moment I stepped out of the car to check in. The Peninsula really exemplifies good service — every member of the staff that I interacted with during my stay was pleasant and friendly.
I had a standard room but it was still very comfortable and well-​appointed. The décor is elegant and classic, and I particularly liked how all aspects of the room, including the climate control, lighting, and do not disturb, could be controlled from tablets. The bathroom was also very spacious and furnished well, with great water pressure and temperature. Turndown service was nice as well, with complimentary waters, fruit, and chocolates replenished each night.
I did have a chance to explore the other areas of the hotel, including the Belvedere restaurant, where I had a very enjoyable lunch on the patio. I also liked lounging by the rooftop pool, which was not crowded at all during my visit. The attendants were all attentive and friendly, coming by to top off drinks as I whiled away an afternoon in the sun.
Overall, an excellent hotel in Beverly Hills and I would definitely not mind staying here again upon future visits.

Great spa and great place to go for high tea. It’s very classy and intimate. The food is also great; I recommend the dim sum, Cobb salad, or truffle Mac and cheese. I love how nice and accommodating the staff is. This is always a nice place to go on a Sunday.

The restaurant is located on the hotel patio and it has heaters that keep you warm and toasty. It has a very relaxing country club feel to it which I appreciated. I split two dishes with my brother: the mahi mahi tacos and quinoa burger. The burger was a beauty and tasted great with the herb fries that can be dipped in custom made sauces (Sriracha aioli was my absolute fave). The fish tacos on the other hand weren’t that great. The fish tasted amazing but the relish and flatbread tasted bland. I ended up forking the mahi mahi down with the delicious avocados that came with the wraps. Pair your lunch items with freshly made juice! They have every juice flavor you can imagine including but not limited to orange, carrot, cranberry, kale, pineapple, and classic lemonade. My absolute favorite thing about the restaurant was the service. All of the waiters were welcoming, helpful, and kind. They all smiled and ran to your side if you ever had a question or needed a refill of your drink. Couldn’t say enough positive things about the service at the Peninsula!

I take everyone I can to enjoy High Tea here. It is impeccable and the menu has exactly what you want. December is so beautiful in there and if and when we get rain the fireplaces are the best spots to be.
The suites are perfect and they have not missed a thing when making your stay the best it can be. Perfect place to stay if you have to see your people in Century City or Beverly Hills.

This hotel is just so beautiful and every time you enter, you feel like you are in an entirely different place!

The Peninsula Beverly Hills is still one of my favorite hotels in the world. I’ve been coming here several times for the past 15 years and each time we stay, it’s an amazing time.
The service at the Peninsula is what makes the hotel one of the best in the world. Friendly, honest, and real service is what they perfect.
The beautiful Lobby and Tea Lounge are the first thing you notice when you enter the hotel. It feels like you have been transported to Paris or Geneva.
The room is very comfortable, modern, clean, luxurious and beautiful. It feels like your own private home in Paris. One recommendation would be rhe rooms do need Bluetooth speakers so we could play music from our iPhones.
The Roof Garden is a very informal and relaxing place to grab breakfast, lunch, or a cocktail. The Tea Lounge is a great place to have a after-​dinner night cap. The Belvedere restaurant was closed for renovations so they had a very nice breakfast buffet in one of their bright conference rooms. The buffet was very good!
I think it’s probably time to renovate the Bar that’s off the lobby. It felt a tad dark, dated, and the carpet was really dirty. Perhaps make it a little bit more modern and brighter like the Clement Bar at the Peninsula in NYC.
The Pool, while a tad crowded, is very relaxing and the service is great. I think the hotel should free some space to guests not wanting to pay hundreds of dollars for a cabana by offering more seating near the pool. Great views and the misters helped keep us cool on a 100+ degree day. I did notice that the free snacks they provided sometimes never made their way to the jacuzzi area though.
Overall, a great hotel and we will be back soon!

Staying at the Peninsula Hotel Beverly Hills was my best hotel experience. Ever.
In some ways it feels like a modern day Downton Abbey. There are so many staff to assist with every little detail of your visit. And they do a wonderful job. The level of service will absolutely spoil you.
When we arrived, we were shown to the Club Bar to snack on peanuts and tonic water while our room was prepared for us. Then we were escorted by the manager to our large and comfortable room with a luxurious bathroom (shower and separate tub). The thick curtains and sound insulation provided for a deep sleep. The turndown service was impeccable.
The traditional fare served at the Belvedere was delicious. We were also wildly entertained by the late night performance of their guest pianist who enthusiastically played a Sinatra classic for me at my request! Special milkshakes were even made for us (though not on the menu).
The concierge provided us maps to explore the area, leading us to Rodeo Drive, which is within walking distance. They also identified a Japanese restaurant for us to go to on one of the evenings of our stay. The restaurant was not our favorite, but we loved being driven there in the house car — a beautiful 2015 Rolls Royce. The chauffeur was affable and punctual — we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit.
For me, the only drawback was the pool area. While beautiful, it is a bit small and was very crowded. Unfortunately, we were not able to sit down and relax there because it was largely reserved or being used by other guests. It would have been nice to experience that.
I should note that for some unaccustomed to this amount of attention, it could be alarming. But service is what makes a five star hotel, just that. The Peninsula is a small hotel group that can only be found in a few locations worldwide and caters to a discriminating client. If you have the chance to go there, savor every moment. It is in a league of its own.

Tea time at the Peninsula in Beverly Hills! If you want to have a tea party or just pretend you’re English for the day, I recommend going to high tea at the Peninsula. They shower you with your choice of tea, along with champagne, pastries, sandwiches and other goodies! Not a bad way to spend a Sunday!

As you enter the front entrance you are greeted by smiling valets and a large table with a large vase of the most beautiful fragrant perfume flowers! Since I live in the neighborhood, I have been here before for Afternoon Tea (scones were stale — Bel Air Hotel does it better), and have had a drink in The Club but I wanted to check out the rooftop café/​bar/​pool area and catch the waning blue moon. We were seated at a cosy table in the small dark Café area. The only open sky was in the pool area and was engaged with a private party. We were told that the kitchen had closed as it was 9pm. We decided to each just have a glass of wine and then go explore the piano bar we had passed in The Living Room downstairs. My friend wanted something to nibble on so he asked if it was possible to get a cheese platter and they said they could do that. After a bit of a wait, they told us it was coming and being sent up from downstairs. When the platter arrived the waiter happily put it on our table. It had a generous assortment of small blocks & wedges — 2 buttery brie, 2 stilton, 2 blue cheese, 2 goat, slices of smoked gouda, one sliced strawberry, half a sliced pear, and a bunch of crisp sweet grapes. The waiter brought it and left and we had to stop a waitress to ask for a knife/​utensils and small plates. When she brought them – we still had to ask for napkins! The cheese platter alone was $ 25.00 and was a bit too much for two people. In retrospect it would have been better to just go downstairs to the Living Room or The Club and order off of their extensive appetizer menu! The Rooftop Café felt closed in with the huge umbrellas covering every inch of sky and I don’t know why they call it a garden. It was also VERY DARK and the waiter offered a flashlight to read the wine list. Before we left, the manager came over and greeted us and told us they have BBQs on the rooftop on weekends during the summer and invited us to come back. The private birthday event around the pool was over so we took a walk over to the pool and it was very attractive with cabanas all around it. It was a lovely space with an open sky. However, the pool area, as far as I understood, is only available during the day for hotel guests and private events.
The décor throughout the hotel is beautiful, and is a tasteful eclectic combination of Country French (café bar), Persian rugs, Asian vases (Living Room & entrance).
The Living Room had both tables and chairs and sofas but it was filled so we went to the front bar, The Club. For a Saturday night, this bar had only a few customers and in keeping with its reputation they were shady looking characters — a different type of clientele seemed to be hanging out at this bar and a security guard stood in the doorway. There was a woman at the bar who looked like she had two beach balls stuck to her chest (sad) wearing stiletto heels with a man who had rhinestones all over the pockets of his pants, and a couple making out in a corner, and a few other assorted types. Omg. We decided not to stay there and went back out to the classier more formal Living Room/​Dining area and finally found a table we could share with another couple by the piano. As it turned out, we had met them before at Shutters on the Beach piano lounge some time ago. They told us that the piano player, Antonio, plays there every night (except Monday?). He is MAGNIFICENT and really appreciated the applause and tips. The waitress brought us our drinks. my friend tried the Canadian beer, and I had a pomegranate lemonade. We stayed until midnight and chatted with our old friends and enjoyed the piano playing. The waitress was never seen again and when we flagged down a waiter we were told she went home. We asked if we could pay our bill and he seemed surprised and had to go find them. We told him what we had. We were overcharged for my drink as it was not what was in the menu. If you go here, I recommend the Living Room, but make sure you check your bill carefully because it may not be the same price that is advertised on the menu. No reason for these types of errors at a place of this caliber. We let it go but gave a smaller tip (25% instead of 30%)…when again, why are we even tipping if she was gone and we saw her once? Would have been better to give her tip to the piano man.
I don’t know if we will go back for the rooftop BBQ if it is in the small cramped closed in umbrella canopied Café with no view. I prefer rooftop restaurants that are open air. But we will go back to hear Antonio play his fabulous piano again in the Living Room!

I never stayed at the hotel here, but I got invited to a wedding. After my experience here with the staff, I would totally love to stay here (but it seems a little out of my budget). On one of the hottest day of the summer, I was running late to a wedding at the Peninsula hotel. I ran (well not really running since I was wearing heels) into the hotel in my dress, looking like a crazed woman. However, one of the employees saw me and she asked me if I needed help and walked me over to the wedding room. That was the start of the great service that I saw. After the wedding ceremony, as we waited for the reception to start, appetizers were passed out. The wait staff was very nice bringing by food often and when we asked where the restroom was, another employee walked us to the bathroom.
The food was also excellent. The appetizers were in little spoons that were super cute and tasty. The wedding food was buffet style and it was surprisingly tasty. They had a carving station with prime rib and other meats and sides. Good experience at a hotel, which makes me want to stay here.

I was invited to a party here. The dinner food was very good, but not the best I have ever had.
But this is not the type of venue I am comfortable at usually. And it also does not have a great feel inside or out although it is well appointed.
The best of my stay was the doorman offering to help put on my suit jacket when I got out of the car. You rarely see that. The service here is 1^st Class. It made me feel special.
You may like it here, depends on what you are used to in life, but it’s just not my style. I prefer a place where I park my own car, I don’t like Valet or anyone else driving my car, I like walking to the entrance, opening my own door, without being watched at every corner. It’s sometimes stressful to have «help» on you at every turn.
But I know, some folk like that, and the Peninsula will accommodate that.
It’s also very expensive here. But I guess if you paid cash for your Rolls, you will be okay with the bill.

The Peninsula is in a class of its own. Consistently delivering the highest level of service in a contemporarized environment with with all the charm, grandeur and elegance of a bygone era. No one does that combination of experience attributes better than them.
I’ve enjoyed many High Teas at the Peninsula in Hong Kong, New York, Chicago and now LA and they are always perfect. From the most delightful international staff, in this case our real Parisian French friend Laure. Pronounced «Laur“who was both lovely and hospitable, to the small touches like wrapping each tea pot in a Chinese silk fabric, the Peninsula always charms and delights.
While High Tea is generally served in the lobby, or Living Room as they choose to call it in LA, we opted to take ours on the outdoor patio off the Living Room. The patio wad set with white table cloth linens, fine silver and China. Flowering vines crawled up the lattice work while flowering baskets dripped from above. It was quiet, the weather was perfect as were the fabulous selection of custom finger sandwiches, sweets and scones.
The harpist in the living room played background music that appeared to be playing over speakers in the patio while gaggle of young women celebrating a bridle shower created quite a jubilant cacophony inside.
high Tea is an elegant break from the modern world without giving up any of its luxuries or conveniences and no one recreates that moment like the Peninsula!

I always have the most amazing time relaxing here at this hotel. The customer service is exceptional! The cabanas by the pool come equipped with TV, speakers, table, chairs and lounge chairs. Everything we ordered whether it was food or cocktails came in less than 10 minutes. Their Moscow mules are legit.
The atmosphere is very peaceful and private as a lot of high profiles roam the hotel. I feel like a celebrity when I’m here because I’m treated like one!
The gorgeous huge hotel rooms are stocked with every kind of alcohol and a full fresh plate of fruits every day. I ordered room service late one night. The mushroom risotto and truffle mac and cheese are to die for! We ordered a bottle of 1942 but they put it in a pitcher for us to drink with champagne glasses which I thought was a bit bizarre. That was not cheap… I think it was 5 bills. Yikes.
The Peninsula spa is the best in LA. I got the 60 min massage (Julie is awesome) and right after that I got a 60 mini facial (Sudie is the greatest!). After my facial, Sudie recommended 8 products she used on me for my daily routine. I bought 3 of them because they are not cheap. But the personalized care beats any other spa I’ve been to because they are knowledgable and super sweet!
Note to self: this isn’t a place to get turnt up!!! It’s a high class hotel where you relax and lounge by the pool all day.
