Think very carefully before choosing this Dr and office unless its a very simple procedure .
Anything complicated or more challenging Do NOT let him touch you !
dr Groth set me back years hiding behind sunglasses not being able to see family of friends .
Trust me on this.
Go to a Dr at a reputable clinic such as Johns Hopkins they have excellent surgeons
that know what to do and can fix other deoctors screw ups.
It took 3 surgeries now but im finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel .and a few things he did like ruin my good eye! Some things are not able to be repaired that he caused.
what a nightmare this dr put me through.
Actually i was warned by a famous hairdresser to celebrities in beverly hills not to go to him but i didnt listen because i heard from another eye surgeon he was excellent… Wrong !!
The office staff are b — — i mean real b — — –.
that hate their jobs .
i would not even give this dr 1 star .

The eye guy, Dr GROTH, is a true professional & an excellent surgeon. I had my bags removed 6 years ago & my eyes still look wonderful. I look at least 10 years younger. Don’t bother searching for a surgeon if u are considering having work done on your eyes. It’s a delicate procedure that requires a highly skilled surgeon and our eyes are something we cant afford to mess with. Dr Groth is the best L.A. eye surgeon.

had surgery with dr Groth 3 years ago… my mother had her eyes done with dr groth and said he was the only person she would recommend. She was an RN OR nurse at UCLA for 40 years and chose her doctor very carefully. we both had the Best experience with Dr. Groth. my friends thought i had a face lift. I don’t do botox so its the only thing I felt safe to do. Absolute Best for Eyes.

Dr. Groth performed my upper and lower eyelid surgery, and I couldn’t be happier! When my friend had her procedure (several years ago), I knew he would be the only doctor I would trust. Dr Groth did an amazing job on my upper lids. The procedure was very easy, no pain. I had minimal swelling and bruising due to the doctors pre surgery and post surgery instructions. The stitches were removed after 7 days and at that time I was able to go back to my daily schedule. I would (and do) recommend Dr Groth to everyone!

My complaint is not with Dr. Groth, but his office staff. I went there and filled out the paper work and one of the lines asked for my social security number and very stupidly, i put it down. Someone from his office either sold my information or went around opening credit cards under my name and spending money on my credit cards. Basically, someone from his office either stole my identity or sold my identity. Very frustrating!!! The police have been alerted and they will be prosecuted if found. Let this be a warning to everyone, DO NOT WRITE YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER ON ANYTHING!!!

I went to Dr. Groth after being disappointed with the results of my surgery by another doctor. He was very upfront about the chance of success. I had the surgery and the outcome was amazing. I am so happy with the results. He is very nice and patient. I highly recommend him.

People have always said I have great eyes, but by my 50s I had developed hereditary and age-​related ‘bags and sags’. I love and trust my dermatologist, and the only recommendation he had for my eyes was Michael Groth. I had surgery done by him in March 2011 and not only did I look great within a few months, but I look even better today. Totally natural. I look like me — 20 years ago! It took about 6 months from my initial call to surgery and it was worth the wait. I highly recommend him.

What a quack of a doctor. One of those blown up ophtalmologists, who took barely any schooling in plastic surgery to just expend the buck. Please look at the prior reviewer’s photo. Do her eyes look younger to you? Don’t you see the deep hollows below the eyes? I have no idea why she even bothered with the surgery to start with, the result is very poor, it is not what of a proper plastic surgeon is able to deliver nowadays with the current knowledge and training
The problem is if in a really surgical world a surgeon has to perform a substantial amount of procedures as a lead surgeon under supervision (at least 25 to identify and remove sentinel lymph nodes in breast cancer surgery for example) to be certified that he is capable to to the procedure to the hospital standard imposed by the hospital while In plastic surgery, God help the patient, the field is completely unsupervised, whatever he can do is purely in his mind media «work up»
Very limited skills and poor judgment. Does procedures that he has no patient’s permission for and does not put them in the report. Does not inform patients that there are more advanced procedures that would benefit them better, since is unable to perform them himself due to the limited and outdated skills. Was unable to keep the shape of the eyes, made them round and one eye enlarged more than the other.
Please go to Vitals and see that the positive reports are by patients who were very recent after the procedure, like a couple of weeks or so. They do take the beneficial swelling for the results LOL Such premature reports should not be even accepted for the plastic surgery procedures. 6 months at least needed to properly evaluate the results.
How he got on the so called revisionists list? I would not be surprised that he paid someone.
He was unable to deliver a primary procedure. This article «the clean up crew» on his office wall, so he definitely realizes the media effect on his pocket.
I had his operative report reviewed by one of the most respected professors of plastic surgery in his country, this profesor, was surprised that Dr Groth is actually a plastic surgeon vs ophthalmologist, so limited are his skills.
Choice is yours, but I wish I had not gone to him and would not recommend him to anybody His own staff went to the blepharoplasty to another surgeon.
.PS in all fairness, he did ask me to come back so he can revise his own procedure, I refused, I woudln’t trust this man as far as I can throw him or even further.

There IS no better cosmetic surgeon for eyes PERIOD!!!
He ONLY does eyes! (& eye related surgery) So there’s none of this… multi region surgery.
He simply is THE best! I needed a Dr. who really knew eye muscles & related problems. Plus he’s a skilled perfectionist.
My results are flawless. (its been 2 years now!) He does NOT take OUT the under eye fat, but repositions it into the upper cheek area.
I had consults with several high profile, highly advertised on line health & beauty sites docs… Forgetaboutit! It’s his METHOD of this procedure that separates him from all the rest.
Plus he quietly has done ½ of the big name stars in Hollywood! (if not more) That’s just the TRUTH!
All my pals are running to get appts with him.
His calm bedside manner,& truthfulness if he does NOT think something should be done, is refreshing in this, the Grande City of cosmetic surgery!
