Since the founding of Los Angeles Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates, our guiding philosophy has been, and will always be to provide our patients with focused diagnostic efforts and compassionate medical and surgical treatment, while adhering to the highest principles in the art and science of medicine.

Dr Firoozmand is the best surgeon in the world. He is compassionate and makes sure that you understand everything that is going to happen prior to your surgery. He even called my sister personally after my surgery was completed to let her know everything was ok. I was in the hospital for 7 days and he came in to see me every morning to see how I was doing and asked if I had any questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor to have performed my surgery.

Went in for the first time to see doctor Firoozmand for a checkup, i pay my office visit amount, didn’t seem like there was any thing different in the exam that wouldn’t normally be part of a colon exam but received a bill for a balance due, seems the only part that’s included with their office visit is dropping your trousers and a doctor glancing at you, if you’re having him check more thoroughly be prepared to pay for it. The billing person Bert who by the way doesn’t return your messages and never picks up his line, I had to call the front desk so they could get him on the phone. he will talk about billing line items and that each line item is billed in its own. They just lost me as a patient and I will never recommend a Dr office that’s ran this way. Be careful and ask about charges on anything they do.

This is the BEST medical office I have ever work with… and I did change a lot of doctors in the past one year. What makes them unique is Dr. Firoozmand. He has the three ingredients to the right formula for best doctor = professionalism + knowledge + compassion. He was very informative and clear on my procedure from day one. He was always there to check on my recovery and after surgery he continue to genuinely care about my well being. His assistant Zerlinda is incredibly helpful. Every time I had a question or request she responded immediately.
For me, there are not enough words to describe how satisfy I am with my experience and Dr. Firoozmand. Thank you for all you do!

I’d like to thank Arianna for her consistently delayed, unhelpful answers to my concerns and her general, deadened, uncaring attitude. Additionally a very special thanks goes out to Burt who studiously deflected any and all of my queries regarding billing. In spite of having the ability to think Burt rigorously refused to address my concerns.
In the same positive spirit I give them both an A+ in their ability to take money from me up front and refund me money back after my Platinum PPO (who they are a participating provider for) made payment. Aw heck, never mind that I had to demand that money back, more than once, it’s only My time and energy, right?

Update: Just wanted to let everyone know that Dr. Hoffman called me about my review and threatened to take action with the Dean of my law school if I did not delete the review. (I assume he got the information of which law school from the first time patient forms I filled out, which is pretty creepy.) That in itself speaks volumes for the place. I just want to assert that everything in my review is true. I can only imagine the number of people Dr. Hoffman has intimidated into removing reviews.

Terrible front desk service. I was misinformed by the front desk of what kind of procedure they were going to perform. I went there for the first time and the front desk did not tell me what I was paying for. When I called them to resolve the issue they were very rude, unhelpful and … hung up on me pretending she could not hear me. A second later I called back and another front desk agent was perfectly able to hear me, who was the only one that spoke to me nicely, but the issue was still not resolved since they were all trying to convince me that i should have known what kind of procedure they would do (although no one ever told me).
It is unfortunate that people like that first girl that hung up, that apparently hate their job, get hired and destroy business.
The doctor was really great but I’ m not returning because you can always find a great doctor, however it’s the service provided overall and the trust you gain that makes a customer loyal to you.
I hope no one else gets deceived and ends up paying more than what they were told.

Dr. Capiendo is fabulous. She takes the time to explain everything and makes sure her office staff is in top of things. Office staff is great too. She is patient, skilled, and genuinely cares about her patients. I got a preop and 2 post op calls. Parking can be a bit dicey (don’t park in the building., do street parking or free 2 hour a block away), but it’s Beverly Hills, to be expected.
I wish they would do courtesy calls to remind patients of upcoming appointments. All I got was a card. Ill try not to forget!

The Team of Dr. Hoffman are amazing surgeons.
I required an operation and saw 4 other surgeons over 2 months before deciding on Dr. Hoffman who was sensitive, thoughtful, and a very caring physician.
Two of the surgeons from this team operated on me, and oversaw my recovery for 2 ½ months post surgery.
They are total professionals. And they saved me.

DR HOFFMAN is a self center individual that only cares about making money. Go to another surgeon that really cares. He knew i was on medicare and because it does not pay him huge amount of moneys, he decided that before surgery he needed to see me 5 times, so he can charge all those visits plus the sugary. Talking about doctors that are in that profession for the money. HE IS ONE OF THOSE DOCTORS. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. He is also a chauvinist.

No one likes to visit a doctor. Office staff was great. Dr. Hoffman spend a lot of time taking care of me and answering my questions. I met the other doctors in the office they are equally friendly. I highly recommend them.
