Business Owner

Gary H. Hoffman, M.D. is an Attending Surgeon and instructor in the Division of Colorectal Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and Attending Surgeon in the Division of General Surgery, and Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at The David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Hoffman’s main clinical and research interests involve the laparoscopic, minimally invasive treatment of colon and rectal malignancies, optimizing outcomes and techniques in general colorectal surgery, endoscopy and the surgical treatment of hemorrhoids.

Dr. Hoffman is a pioneer in the use of the procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH), an alternative hemorrhoidal operation which has been demonstrated to result in less postoperative pain and a faster return to work or to the activities of daily living. In his research he has confirmed the superiority of PPH when compared with traditional hemorrhoidectomy.
