To start off, Janet Refoa, DDS DMD really cares about you. From the moment you step into her office, her dental team really makes an effort to make you feel welcome! Even though a dentist’s office tends to be a bit… «nerve-​wrecking,» her office didn’t give me that vibe.
Dr. Janet Refoa is very caring and very skilled, too! Dr. Janet Refoa will take her time and never rush you. When you are lying down on her bench, you will be treated like a king!

I had a wonderful experience, she gave me two fillings and didn’t have to inject me with numbing stuff which was awesome! They didn’t have a dental hygienist in the office that day but they got one to come in and clean my teeth. Very accommodating, very knowledgeable, and very caring! Thank you!

I have been going to Dr. Refoa since I was a kid. It is practically family here. The staff is very knowledgable and they make me feel as comfortable as possible. The procedures are quick and painless. I would definitely recommend coming to Dr. Refoa for your dental needs.

Through the years i have gone to many dental offices only to be disappointed with what other dentists have scarred me with. JJP Dental was the right place i was looking for. Dr. Refoa and her staff are very professional, intelligent, and precise. I have recently gone in to have a dental implant surgery performed along with a bone graft. I have to say it was easier then a walk in the park. I did not feel any pain. The Procedure was performed flawlessly with no errors what so ever. JJP Dental is the only establishment that i can say without a doubt is the one place i trust to work on my teeth. I am always happy to come here and i can honestly say that i couldn’t ask for a better dentist. Thank you JJP Dental for giving me that smile that i have always been dreaming about.

I was referred to Dr. Refoa by an associate. When I visited her office I was seen promptly and courteously, x-​rated and then seen by Dr. Refoa. Her recommendations were not unexpected and the prices that I was quoted for the work that needs to be done was reasonable compared to another dentist’s estimate. All in all, I will go back to see her. I felt comfortable and in good hands.

One of the things you will notice immediately when visiting Dr. Refoa is her beautiful office, and friendly staff. .. O.K., off to a really good start! But at the end of the day, what I truly want is a beautiful smile. I’ve been working with Dr. Refoa for 3 years now, and am very happy with my results. We have used InvisaLine to straighten my teeth and correct my bite, and she makes sure I am cavity free with regular cleanings and check ups. And my smile. .. well, people tell me it is beautiful! The Worst Unprofessional dentist I had ever gone to! She was in a hurry all the painful time she was fixing it, in the middle of the whole process she left me in pain for the whole hour without letting me know that she would be gone, then when she came back she did not keep her word on the way we agreed the teeth would be fixed instead she decided to open (drill) all my cavity teeth and left them open, then after keep watching on the clock she put temporary filling and 3 permanent, which later on the other dentist was able to remove like a chewing gum stuck in my teeth. What kind of a dentist is she? If you do not have time tell me and do not f*ck around with my mouth, f*ck, it is my mouth not my ass… later on I have been in pain for 3 days and had to go to another dentist to fix what she had done to me and now everything is just fine, I feel no pain my bite is right and I can sleep at night and all of it was done without doing the root canal which would be more painful…

Please people try to avoid this dentistry her team is really good in talking and making good connection but as a dentistry place they are really unprofessional caused me a lot of pain to my teeth, first the Indian Lady who I spoke to was super nice and seemed that she was paying attention but when it came to the real deal the dentist showed herself, they completely have done a terrible job on my teeth she said that my upper teeth need to undergo two root canal and i was not even feeling any pain on those, then she was always in a hurry to offer only root canal job, which showed her concern only about the money and after a carful review and having a different opinion with another dentistry I’ve found out that my teeth were ok and I had to do only two upper filling and to switch one of the old filling with a new one and thats it… I was so happy that I did not trust this women, and I want none of the good people to be hurt and scammed.
Please do not be naïve and please just avoid this UNPROFESSIONAL SCAMMED PLACE they are tons of different dentist out there who will do the job and will take care of you definitely better than this people.

I cannot believe this establishment has 4.5 stars. The only sense I can make of it is all the good reviews are friends and family (most of which are people with one or two reviews mind you). This place is a complete racket, scam artists!
Dr Refoa advised me I need two root canals and that I should hurry up and schedule as the situation will only get worst. I have had root canals in the past and somewhat familiar with the pain associated with them and was not suffering any of them. So I decided to get a second opinion and my new dentist confirmed my suspicion that I did not need root canals, just one cavity???
I would steer clear of this place!!!

I came in last week to see why I was having unbearable pain in my lower jaw– immediately Dr. Refoa took an x-​Ray and said I had a severe infection, prescribed me antibiotics and set an appointment for four days later (today).
Today, I was terrified to come in because I’ve never had a tooth extracted. I was even shaking. The entire staff was so kind and was so reassuring and told me it would all be over soon, etc. They numbed me up, and my dentist was able to get the tooth out in what felt like 30 seconds. He was awesome and I felt like I could trust him even though I was so scared. Overall, my fear of the dentist has definitely lessened and I would feel 100% confident coming back to this office for any procedure. I highly recommend JJP.

Dr. Janet Refoa is a remarkably sensitive and knowledgeable dental practicioner. She preserves and protects teeth that other dentists would condemn to extraction. She has a pair of «golden hands,» to which I can attest from numerous procedures. I searched for years through dentists in Century City, Beverly Hills and Encino before finding JJP Dental. Their state of the art new facility in a dedicated small building on Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills is also a pleasure. I recommend Janet and her team as the best you will find: expert, caring and reasonably priced.

I just had to postpone yet another appointment with Dr. Refoa. No problem, no charge. Never is, and I’ve done this a lot. I’ve just perused some of the negative reviews and I truly can’t believe what I was reading. I think these reviewers might need to change their medication…
First, I am always ushered in almost immediately upon my arrival. The staff is soft-​spoken and very courteous. They even text me a reminder the day before the appointment.
As for the Doctor, she is warm, open and honest… She negotiated a better price for my extensive work since I don’t have insurance and told me what I could hold off on now. She hugs me when I arrive and leave, chats with me as a friend, and really does deliver painless work! I’ve recommended others to her who are equally pleased with the convenience, quality, and prices at JJP Dental. There’s even a parking lot in the back so you don’t have to hassle– or pay — with Wilshire Blvd parking!
So to those who claim there is yelling and other discourteous behavior at this office, I have never witnessed anything that even remotely resembles that. And I’ve been there many many times. Hmmmm… bad reviews — sour grapes or just sour people?

Walking to this medical center it’s like walking to the park it’s relaxing refreshing and very quiet everybody smile especially a young lady at the reception which she looks like an angel
Surely cost you money to walk inside the dental office in Beverly Hills but not here they do take care of you and work with you especially I find out they have a payment plan which is very good.
Real doctor referral is the fun part of this clinic I feel I’m talking to my sister she’s gentle she’s nice she’s caring and she’s expensive
So remember and I remember you’re at the most expensive city of Los Angeles
But dealing with this clinic it s worth it trust me I’m halfway to my dental problem and I will get back to you once I finish doing my teeth and finish paying my payment

I have been going to Dr Janet Refoa since twenty five years and followed her in her different locations.
I have sent and recommended her over the years to family and friends who have all thanked me.
Today I felt I should post that because I wanted to share her qualities.
Dr Refoa is always smiling, patient, caring, reassuring and very professional in her dentistry.
I have a great fear of pain and she is a master at numbing you for a painless experience.

I just had the most extraordinary dental cleaning experience at JJP Dental.
I went in for my cleaning and was anticipating anxiety accompanying the pain and discomfort which typically go hand-​in-​hand with having my teeth worked on.
From the moment I sat in the chair and started engaging with Dr. Amir a sense of calm and trust came over me. He was so present with me and listened intently to my concerns making sure that he interacted with me and worked on me in a way that was sensitive, compassionate and professional. I felt that he was completely connected to me, my experience and what I was dealing with. His intuition was astounding.
The level of accuracy and procedural integrity where the highest I’ve ever experienced.
And for the first time in my life I did not have to be numbed to have my teeth cleaned. And, I did not experience any pain, discomfort or anxiety during the procedure. JJP Dental delivered on their promise to provide the most extraordinary dental care and Dr. Amir is a total expression of JJP Dental teams commitment to their patients.

I have seen dr refoa at jjp dental for a simple root canal to save an infected tooth who is supporting a bridge.
I paid 800 $ cash for the job, and it end up that she did the root canal on the healthy tooth instead of the one infected !!! Now i have to get an other root canal, when i tried to get my money back or at least an apology her and other people from the jpp office were yelling at me and being really rude .
I hope that my review will stop people seeing her !! Worst dentist experience ever

Dr Refoa and her staff are the best! I absolutely love coming here. I feel like it’s a dental «spa»!! The hygienists are all so gentle, intricate and caring. They take good care of your teeth, and always give me tips on how to improve what I’m already doing. Alina did my cleaning and Jason did my X-​Rays. It was great.
The office staff never keeps you waiting.

Dental staff was sloppy and amateurish: X-​ray tech gave the impression of being a nervous beginner and the person who did a perfunctory polishing of teeth dug floss INTO gum rather than around tooth… She did not seem to be a legitimately trained hygienist.
Dr. Refoa made a brief appearance. She strongly recommended braces or Invisalign to correct some alignment and crowding issues. This may be the absolutely correct course of action, but her staff does not inspire confidence in this practice. Will seek another opinion and, if corroborated, will treat elsewhere.
