After meeting with the doctors assistant Renee, we agreed to give them $ 4,000 to hold a date at the end of December.
Due to a change in circumstances I asked for a refund three business days later via a fax.
When I received no response within a week I called and left a message for Renee. I did not receive a call back.
A week later I called twice in one day and was told Renee had my information. No call back.
Luckily my bank refunded the 4,000 when they also received no response from the doctors office.
Stay away from this office as they are not ethical

I went in for a consultation today. Office, Dr and staff were nice. Answered all of my questions and had me feeling great when i left the Office. Was also able to schedule a procedure without putting me off for months. I held the date as of now. So far he’s cool in my book.

I am writing this review to describe my experience as a friend/​driver for one of the doctors clients at this office. I have to admit I only review places where I really feel something should be said (good or bad) First off I am rating the doctor and staff 2 stars because I have not seen my friends results yet (so far so good, for 2 days). I wanted to share the sarcastic and rude behavior of DR. T. As my friend was prepping for her surgery, the doctor thought it would be proper to address his clients pricing with me. I was just minding my business in the room as my friend was being marked on and the doctor decides that I was the one who should be talked to for the pricing. I had no idea what was going on so I pretty much just nodded and agreed, as my legs and arms were crossed DR. T decided he would yell out «your body language with your arms and legs crossed is telling me you don’t give a shit!!! And I don’t think that’s the person you are» I was shocked, as a healthcare worker I have never been this disrespected in my life, it was very disrespectful I felt attacked when I was not the client. I felt that this is no way to speak to clients, patients or customers at all. He then asked what my occupation was, when I replied «a nurse assistant» he laughed and said sarcastic comment by saying «that explains a lot». As for the staff they were pretty straight forward and made you feel comfortable. The LVN was a sweet heart she helped us out so much and took such great care of my friend. Note: while I was in the waiting room I noticed DR. T yelling at his receptionist super loud. Another client who was waiting to be attending mentioned that they argue very often in front of the customers.

Wow! So many horrible reviews. The doctor has not improved after having practiced for so many years.
30 years ago I went to Dr. Takowsky for an eyelid surgery to remove some fat in my upper eyelids. He performed surgery on my upper and lower eyelids. He was also supposed to take some fat from my chin. After the surgery I noticed that there was no difference or any improvement. He only cut the skin and sewed it up. The doctor said I had to wait 9 months for the swelling to go down. When the swelling didn’t go down he suggested that I should lose weight instead. At 5’4″ and 110 lbs. I didn’t have much desire to lose weight. In addition, the doctor failed to remove all of the stitches and I had to pull them out myself with the tweezers. The surgery was a total waste of $ 5,500, my time lost from work and unnecessary pain.
Despite the bad outcome, the doctor tried to convince me to get a facelift. He said that the women in Beverly Hills get facelifts at age 30. I had no sagging or wrinkles whatsoever that would require any such procedure whatsoever. I wish there was Unilocal then.

My brother purchased a Groupon for 750 dollar liposuction on the jaw. Simple enough right? He just wanted to get rid of his double chin. I thought we would be out in an hour and a half tops. WE WERE THERE 4 HOURS… Yes 4 HOURS. I was going nuts in the waiting room. What makes the matter more ridiculous is the fact that my brother was the only patient! I asked one of the workers there to let me see my brother BC I was so bored. he told me the doctor told him he needed lipo on his cheeks too. this doctor is comical, he tried to give him botox too Lol… wtf … my brother is only 24.
This doctor is so thirsty its funny! I think he spent over an hour on the consultation telling my brother every procedure he needed done.
BOTTOM LINE… There is a reason why their prices are below market in the 90 210

I was surprised to see all the bad reviews as well, so I’d like to share my experience. Dr Takowsky is probably the most genuine plastic surgeon your going to meet. His office staff are down to earth and things are pretty busy there. I’ve been to other plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills and they might as well forget about you once you pay the bill and leave. Not with this Dr. He explained everything to me in great detail with the moles I was having removed and could tell he is a perfectionist through and through. Sure I wasn’t having serious surgery, but you can tell a lot from someone as he’s zapping 6 moles off your face. I love this guy, his prices are more than reasonable and plan on seeing him for more touch ups soon.

NO. DON’T GO THERE.
I went for simple botox in the forehead which I’ve had twice before at another office. Within a few days my expression was in a permanent state of profound anxiety. I went back and he said that had never happened before – from other reviews I see that is not the case. He did refund my money, but he seemed unconcerned. The weird expression lasted 2 and ½ months.
That is complaint number one. Complaint number two is this: He was EXTREMELY unprofessional – talking for ten minutes about a «penis lifter» that he’d just invented, explaining it over and over. Why? I don’t know. I don’t have a penis; I am a woman. He wanted to show me his before and after photos, and was bragging incessantly. He actually insisted I look at the genital shots. Why I didn’t run out of the office I don’t know… I was sort of paralyzed by confusion, and I thought that though he was a weirdo, giving me a little botox was something could he probably manage – which he couldn’t. He’s like a Saturday Night Live Version of a plastic surgeon.

I feel mutilated after Dr. Takowsky performed surgery on my ears and nose. Everything is uneven, different shapes and sizes on each side, and the asymmetry is horrendous. I feel like he completely ruined my face, and I have already gone to another doctor to have this corrected. He makes you sign an arbitration agreement (about 20 minutes before you go in for surgery) so you can’t sue him, and then won’t give you a copy of what you signed. Oh, and don’t expect him to actually be there when you have a follow up appointment. Whenever I asked him about the unevenness and red, raised, bulbous scars, he insists that everything is normal and that my surgery looks great. He has his staff come in and tell you how great you look, and they make fun of you if you don’t agree. He told me the reason the results were asymmetrical was because my face was crooked!!! WOW.
Paid: $ 5500
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUTCHER. BTW, his staff are just as bad. I had to turn them in to the medical board for failure to provide me a copy of my post surgery medical report. After reading Dr. Takowsky’s report, my new doctor would’t even touch me. Stay away. Find an actual good doctor.

STRONG RECOMMENDATION
Dr. Takowsky is a top Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. I have been a client of his since 2001. It was my son, Maurice Mendoza, a television actor from the Power Rangers, who introduced me to the doctor. My face is an important tool in my line of work as well. So having the right surgeon is vital. Through the years the doctor has performed several facial surgeries on me, always with great results. He has the most incredible hands, second to none.
As for the staff, they too are all seasoned veterans, and have been with the doctor for years. Renae Kaufman, the office manager, is a very caring and delightful person to work with. She will make things happen — what a blessing. As for any procedural price, they are affordable, a fraction of what the norm is. Do your own research and you will find that Dr. Takowsky is an affordable and highly skilled surgeon.

I have had 3 surgeries from Dr. Takowsky, the last one I’m recovering from now. I was surprised when I read the negative reviews, let me tell you my experience as it was quite different…
(Let me just say, I am terrified of Drs, procedures, all of it, to the point that I feel like I’m going to pass out and I always cry out of fear.)
I was given Dr. Takowsky’s name from a friend 6 years ago and was told he was an artist and not to dare go anywhere else (not only that, THEY FINANCE!) I was so excited, I went to see him for breast enlargement (due to breast feeding). The office is run kind of like a family, I was shy at first but you really appreciate that kind of environment you can be yourself in once you get comfortable. I put everything in his hands. The financing went through easily, the surgery went great, I was very nervous and they made me feel totally at home and MY BREASTS WERE BEAUTIFUL! I was so excited, he chose the perfect size, they were done beautifully, they were perfect. THEN… A few days after surgery I accidentally hit my left breast and gave myself a hematoma. When it happened I didn’t know what I had done and I was terrified. It was a Sunday, my breast was swelling larger and larger so I went into the office, the Dr. met me, gave me an IV, made sure I was ok to operate on, and because it was Sunday, he rushed me to the emergency room. He took me straight in, spoke to the hospital and they took me directly into surgery in a matter of minutes. The whole time, from the office until I fell asleep on the table, the Dr. was keeping me calm, making me laugh and making me feel totally secure, I literally was not scared (and that is a feat, let me tell you.) It was during those moments that I saw the Dr. I was dealing with, and its not until something like that happens to you that you can feel like you know someones character, I have never been treated in such an amazing way, it makes me cry to this day when I think about it. So I healed from that and again, he did a beautiful job, my left breast looked exactly like my right, no visible scar (not even on my left breast after 2 surgeries), perfect!
6 years later… my breasts still beautiful, I slipped and smashed my right breast. It deflated in a matter of days and I went in to see him. I chose to get both redone, bigger! he gave me a spectacular deal that I couldn’t refuse. Again I was scared, again they took care of me, the nurse even held my hand like my mommy until I got put under. I called the dr. twice at home after surgery with questions and he didn’t mind at all. I’m a week post op right now and HOLY S*** THEY ARE AMAZING! They are the most beautiful things I have ever seen and I am contemplating becoming a stripper because I want everyone to see them! Just kidding, but he is an artist. I have found in my klutzy life, that the worse the bedside manner, the better the surgeon. I never knew what people meant when they said «bed side manner» until I got hurt. What it means to me is that they are quirky, maybe a little awkward, definitely unique, and special, and that is just fine by me… I would never trust anyone else, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else, I would take my daughter to him, if he called me today and said I want to give you surgery but I won’t tell you what it is, I would do it, that’s how much I trust him.

Meh at best. I went to Dr. Takowsky in July 2012 for liposuction in my arms. «You get what you pay for» has never rang so true. I purchased a groupon deal (embarrassing, I know, I learned my lesson), but I did do some research before hand and didn’t find anything negative (most of these reviews were posted after I purchased my deal). The people in the office were extremely unprofessional, Dr. Takowsky seemed more interested in upselling me on more lipo than answering my questions, but worst of all I really don’t see any results. I have waited a year to write this review with the understanding that lipo takes time to see the results, but after a year I’ve only lost ½″ inch in my arms from before the surgery and I attribute that to the fact that I’ve lost 5 lbs this year. To give you some background, I’m not skinny or fat by any means. I have a really nice proportional waist and curves, but I have genetically large arms (I have Italian and German grandmas with huge sagging arms). I am only 30, 29 at the time, way too young for them to start to sag.
I went in for my consultation saying that I just wanted my arms done and he did the exam and told me what I nice curvy body I had and agreed that we wouldn’t recommend touching anything other than my arms. He did tell me that he would recommend general anesthesia, another $ 300, but that seemed reasonable so I set my appointment. On the day of my surgery I had a 2pm appt, I arrived 15 mintues as instructed, and what a joke! I sat in the exam room in my underwear and a paper gown for 3 hours! All the while I could hear the staff including the doctor outside laughing and carrying on about personal matters and only came in to check up on my once every hour or so. I actually had to go scout out a nurse to bring my mom in the exam room to wait with me because she was stuck in the waiting room for over an hour. When they finally got my mom, they brought in some random lady from the waiting room!!! I mean out of 2 or 3 patients, you can’t even ask which one is my mom.
So finally the doctor comes in to do the exam and all of a sudden he is recommending I also lipo my stomach, my thighs, and the area between my upper thighs and butt (the jelly roll as he called it). I told him no, my only problem was my arms and he made a comment about how when I gain weight in the future it will all go to my butt unless I do lipo on the other sections. Thank goodness I didn’t listen because all of this would have tripled my surgery cost.
Fast forward, when I wake up from surgery the doctor had already gone home for the day and they rushed me out to the curb in a wheelchair with my mom literally running to get her car so they could go home for the evening.
As I mentioned before I have waited a year to write this review because after all this if my arms actually got any smaller it may have been worth it for the price, but with that being said all I’m left with are the same flabby arms, two unsightly scars on my elbows, and minus a bunch of cash. Lesson learned

I went to Dr. Takowsky seven years ago for implants and head-​to-​toe liposuction and I was very happy with the results. I’m going back for a touch up next month. He does have a peculiar bedside manner but he is a decent human being and he does good work.
I’ve been in since for consultations about other procedures and he’s told me «you don’t need it» which surprised me since I’d normally expect a plastic surgeon to upsell or take money no matter what.
I’m excited to return for more lipo next month although these other reviews have had me worried. I did not have a bad experience with his office and I wanted to reassure myself and others that Dr. Takowsky is good and does good work.

Update to last post.
I am so happy! Seriously, Dr. T is a genius. what I have learned about most of these procedures is that it is a process and it takes tweaking to get the best results. You will look better than you did when you came in but it may take another go round to get where you want to be. Rome was not built in a day and your butt lift was not either. If you are 50 and you want to look 25, expect it to take more than 24 hours. It will be worth it!

I got a breast reduction with Dr. Takowsky and I am only one week post-​op and I am already in love with the results. He is so talented and knows what he is doing! He has changed my life! I am finally able to be confident with my breasts and not worry about then being too saggy or too big. He has such an amazing personality and gets to know you as a patient. He also has the most amazing office staff. Rene and Emilda made the entire process easier and stress free. I am generally very afraid and nervous when it comes to surgeries but this procedure was such a breeze and I had no problems at all! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Takowsky for any procedure. He knows it all!

I love Dr. Takowsky and Renee his partner. They really took time with me during my appointments to ascertain and guide me through what I needed, and I love the results.
Not to mention I paid Dr. Takowsky under half of what I had been quoted from other doctors for only a fraction of what he did. Like the other reviewer I felt cared for — not like if I want this it’s going to cost this much, or if I want that it’ll be an extra so and so… NOT AT ALL. He assessed the whole picture and gave me an EXTREMELY reasonable package price. Actually there was one more thing I wanted and he cut the price in half from what he originally quoted so I could be completely satisfied. In fact, he also encouraged me to do a little something special, and that would cost the same whether or not I did it. I am so happy I did and especially I feel so great that he talked me into it.
I am so shocked because other facilities seemed all about the bottom line and Dr. Takowsky was more concerned with the whole picture. Being a Doctor he saw things I couldn’t (or wouldn’t) see and worked with me so I could afford it. Thank you!!!

Dr. T provides personal attention to every patient. Sometimes that means that he runs behind schedule but I’d rather have a doctor who answers all my questions and makes me comfortable than someone who rushes me out the door just to keep a schedule. Dr. T treats the entire person and not just the «problem» area. He truly wants all of his patients to be happy and feel empowered after their procedures. He never once made me feel anything but comforted.
I won’t go into details about my procedure but I can say that I went to several plastic surgoens and NONE could do the procedure the way that Dr. T did! He managed to give me the exact results I wanted with minimal scarring! I’m so happy with the results that I recommend him to anyone who needs any cosmetic surgery. If you want a doctor who will spend the time to ensure you have the results you want, then go to Dr. T… you won’t be disappointed.
Updated 12÷27÷12: I just had another procedure done with Dr. T. He is a very skilled surgeon with amazing attention to detail. I look better than I’ve ever looked in my life and I’m truly happy with the results. I don’t know why Unilocal isn’t allowing the positive reviews to show on his page. No one business is right for everyone whic is why we go to sites like this. I NEVER TRUST ANY Unilocal PAGE THAT IS 100% GOOD OR 100% BAD BECAUSE THAT MEANS SOMETHING FISHY IS GOING ON. An honest page will have some good and some bad… that’s normal. The key is to see what each one says to determine relevance. Almost ALL of the bad reviews relate to BOTOX. I had REAL PROCEDURES where I was under general anesthesia. There is a big difference.

UNPROFESSIONAL!
I waited for TWO hours for a set appointment. I, too, was a Groupon buyer. BIG mistake. To start, there is a frosted glass window that is occasionally opened if you are standing there long enough and they see your shadow. You want to be welcomed into an office not feel like you are being held in wait like a caged animal for your procedure.
After waiting almost an hour in the crowded waiting room, I was called in and placed in a room and handed his «Brag Book.» Photo after photo of not very impressive work. No magazines, just two books of pre and post op photos. Tacky of them.
Waiting an additional hour in procedure room, I commented to a woman that was in scrubs that I had been waiting two hours. She was incredibly rude. Her tone was sarcastic and she stated, «Oooooooooh I’m soooooooo soooooooorry.» She then went to the back procedure room and told «Dr T» in a mocking way that I had been waiting Twoooooooo hours. I almost walked out at that point. I was floored that there was not a moment of professional courtesy.
15 minutes later, Dr Takowsky hurriedly comes in, no introduction, in full surgical attire with his head lamp on, dripping in sweat. Ick! Seriously, he is doing surgical procedures in between patients??? No wonder I was waiting two hours. No one ever apologized for the long wait.
As he is doing my assessment very quickly, his assistant comes in sits down and asks about his previous patients’ appointments. They openly talk about the very private lives of the two female patients, their procedures and discussed prices. He was bragging to me about how low his prices are in Beverly Hills.
No class office. Please, do not waste your time.

Dr. Takowsky did my rhinoplasty 12 years ago. My nose wasnt so bad to begin with, but I asked for the tip to be narrowed, and not to touch the bridge. I ended up with a crooked, lopsided nasal tip that just screamed: botched rhinoplasty!!! It looked worse afterwards then it did pre-​op.
2 years ago, I saw Dr. Andrew Frankel (at Lasky Clinic, Beverly Hills), who did a rhinoplasty revision. My nose is back to how it used to be before Dr. Takowsky wrecked it. It’s straight, non bulbous and most importantly, natural looking.
Oh sweet irony…10K spent to have the nose I was born with.
Rhinoplasty is very complicated. Save it for an expert, not a butcher.
