I have been going to Dr Anson for close to 25 years (closer to 25 than 20). I have had a lot of dental issues. I mean a lot! The list goes on and on.
Dr Anson and his team have made my life so much better. They go above and beyond! I have had my teeth saved by Dr Anson through extensive Perio work and also have done implants after a trauma. I’m 50 and haven’t needed real dental services (other than check-​ups!) my entire life, so when I found out I needed an implant I was more than a little concerned. I did a LOT of research that included personal references, and all signs pointed to Dr. David Anson and his staff. Despite my worries, Dr. Anson exceeded all of my expectations.
DR. ANSON — Top shelf dental and professional skills all the way. An implant requires coordination with your regular dentist, and Dr. Anson clearly commands a lot of respect from other doctors. He’s also one of the most personable and professional doctors in any medical field I’ve experienced. His follow-​up and concern about how I was doing through this whole process couldn’t have been any better.
STAFF — Wow. Everyone was so pleasant and professional. From the receptionist, to the scheduler, to the nurses… everyone knew their job well, had a smile on their face, and were incredibly helpful. «Service» is a real priority at this office, and even through I was nervous through the process, they all were very supportive.
OFFICE — It’s… different. The décor makes you smile, mostly because it isn’t the typical stale, emotionless space most doctors create. It kind of cracked me up to walk in, and I liked it. Dr. Anson also happens to have some very state-​of-​the art equipment, and I was able to avoid extra trips to third party offices for certain x-​rays and such.
Perhaps there are cheaper alternatives, but for something as delicate as dental surgery you don’t want to chance a bad experience to save a few ducats. I hope I don’t see another dental surgeon for another 50 years, but if I do, it’ll be Dr. Anson.

I called the office today to make an appointment as a new patient and the way that I was treated from the person that answered the phone was very rude and she basically told me that she was too busy and for me to not bother her because she was the only one at the office. I only called twice within a 3 hour period. You’d think that because of the location and the doctors reputation that I would be treated correctly. I typically don’t write reviews but I felt that I should share this with people and worn them. I do not know anything about Dr. Anson so this review is not about the doctor but about his front desk staff. Because of my experience, they just lost a 20 thousand dollars cash patient. Dr. Anson, I hope you reconsider your front desk staff. Best wishes to you office.

I have been lucky and haven’t had much dental work so I wasn’t looking forward to my first tooth implant. I loved that tooth but it cracked on me. I was nervous about every aspect of the process. Elaine was so friendly when I set up the appointment. Dr. Anson, and his staff were warm and friendly and made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Anson was so good at the numbing injections that I hardly felt them. Then he made sure I had no feeling when he started the procedure. Being able to watch a movie using the special glasses made the time go quickly. Dr. Anson is very professional and I had great confidence that he is an expert. Everything went well and today I am comfortable with my implant. I would recommend him in a heart beat.

Dr. Anson is that rare mensch of a doctor – a down-​to-​earth, smart man in a lab coat and sneakers – with a Beverly Hills zip code. He was recommended by my orthodontist, who wanted me to get a tooth extracted for adult braces. It was a procedure that I didn’t want and whose benefits I questioned, and I walked into the office with a great deal of trepidation and anxiety. The front desk staff couldn’t have been kinder and Dr. Anson helped me to make the final decision with a much greater sense of surety. No one wants to have a perfectly healthy tooth yanked out of his/​her skull, but Anson made the experience as painless, stress-​free, and – dare I say – pleasant as possible. I truly cannot recommend him enough.

Dr. Anson is one of the friendliest and most genuine people you will meet, and it also does not hurt that he is excellent at what he does– he is highly knowledgeable and skilled at making major dental problems go away, seem painless, and quick to resolve. You can even watch parts of movies through special glasses for some procedures. The office staff, especially the dental assistants, are top notch and the office is very clean and well-​managed. There is free 2 hour (I think) parking on La Cienega at the tennis courts (south of the office).

Dr Anson is amazing! After having a terrible experience with another oral surgeon who told me that my implant procedure would be incredibly difficult, and that I would have to have a bone graft with a possible healing time of another year (another year without two front teeth!), I left his office crying and called a close friend who recommended Dr. Anson. Dr. Anson got me in quickly for a consultation, showed me exactly what he would do for my implant and told me we could do it the next day if I was available! You can imagine how happy I was to hear this. Dr. Anson was so easygoing and knowledgeable with the whole process that I immediately trusted him with my teeth. He is a true professional. I had my implant surgery within the week, the healing time was minimal, and I had my new teeth within 4 months of the initial procedure (it takes at least 3 – 4 months to heal). My implant in strong and durable and looks like my natural teeth. Seriously, go to Dr. Anson if you need an implant. You will love him. His staff is really sweet and caring as well. I have never written a Unilocal review before… that’s how much I love this guy! He saved my smile

Dr. Anson is excellent! A real pro. He took care of my implant with no fuss and made the whole process an enjoyable experience. The ladies: Rene & Elaine are a delight and were always so hospitable to me & even played with my 6 month old when i had to bring him in with me. I always felt well taken cared of.

I’ve known David Anson socially for more than 10 years, but it was only within the past year that I had my first chance to get to know him as a patient. I had been having a nightmare experience with a single tooth — going from root canal to oral surgery to a decision to extract — and I had been referred from one office to another in search of more specialized treatments. When I decided to replace the tooth with an implant, I was referred to Dr. Anson, and I was immediately comfortable with the referral because I knew him and trusted him. What I didn’t realize until visiting his office, though, was how a year-​long experience which had been painful and depressing at times could suddenly become comfortable and reassuring and (to echo some of the other reviews) actually pleasant. Every step of the way, Dr. Anson explained to me what was happening and why, he made sure I was comfortable with the treatment plan and the treatments themselves during each visit, and he always took time to answer my questions. I should add that the office environment is equally friendly with everyone on his staff displaying the same level of care for the patients. I would give Dr. Anson an unqualified recommendation to anyone considering his services.

I have to agree with the other reviews here and say that I can’t say enough nice things about Dr. Anson and his staff. I had been seeing the same dentist for the past 20 years who did an implant that did not take. It was an awful experience. The only good thing that came out of it was that he referred me to Dr. Anson for the redo, and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Anson did my new implant a few months ago, and the experience was like night and day compared to my experience with my dentist. From the ease of scheduling appointments, to the practically zero waiting time once there, to his bedside manner, it was all around just a wonderful experience, which is huge for me to say since I am one who hates having dental work done. He also has really cool virtual reality glasses so you can watch a movie while he’s doing the surgery, so you are completely distracted. That was a huge bonus for me. I highly recommend him!

When my dentist referred met to Dr. Anson for a deep cleaning due to a «puffy gum» I immediately became a little depressed. A periodontist? For me? I thought only old people had periodontists. One consultation with Dr. Anson and I felt much better about the whole thing. I came back for the deep cleaning and then again for a follow-​up check. The deep cleaning was quick and painless and I received high marks at the follow-​up for my «homework” – using a special brush to clean my teeth. I would recommend Dr. Anson and his staff to anyone looking for a periodontist. Everyone in the office is very friendly and professional — I just hope I don’t have to see them again in the near future…:-)

I have just completed my second dental implant procedure with Dr. Anson. I found him because 4 people who don’t know each other recommended him to me. Both of my experiences were virtually painless, perfectly done and a complete success. The office is lovely, the people are wonderful. Truly the best dental experiences of my life. For what feels like a terrifying procedure Dr. Anson and his WHOLE staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. I have been holding off getting an implant for YEARS, and within 2 days of meeting him I was set up with my appointment and the procedure finished.(well, the first part at least) I was soooo afraid, and he talked me down, and was extremely gentle. His humor and kind demeanor are something that is missing in the medical world. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but my whole experience was a pleasure. They even let you pick from their hundreds of movies to watch via virtual reality glasses while you are getting worked on! I can’t recommend this office enough. Thank you Dr. Anson! No one looks forward to dental work but being a patient of Dr. Anson made it so much easier. Recently one of my front teeth cracked and broke off at the gum line. After a panicked visit to my dentist (also very good!)and having decided that an dental implant was what i wanted, I was referred upstairs in the same building to Dr Anson.
Understanding the urgency of my situation, they fit me in right away. I was x-​rayed, evaluated and the they did the extraction right then. It was painless and I even watched a movie during the procedure. The whole process was explained to me and I was able to ask and get clear answers to all my stupid questions. My remaining appointments and coordination with my dentist was all handled perfectly. The 3-​D modeling and X-ray’s Dr Anson showed me were also very helpful in understanding how it all would happen.
Dr Anson is an extremely kind man who seems to genuinely like what he does. He also has a very good sense of humor. He even followed up that same evening with a phone call to make sure I was okay and not in any pain.
For any future dental implant work I ever need, I will always go to Dr Anson. Everyone in his office is great.

When I needed two single tooth implants I was recommended to this gentleman for much of the work. I have had one of these procedures before and thought it was most uncomfortable and hated the idea of having this done.
He was wonderful. He had a way of giving injections so that it was minimally uncomfortable and then supplied me with movies to watch while he worked away.
I went through several procedures and finally got my two new teeth yesterday.
I would not hesitate to use him again, in fact would not go to anyone else!

Dr. Anson and his staff are phenomenal. I have been to his office twice with my children. Each time they were not only professional and courteous, but very caring. I especially want to thank Dr. Anson for the high ethical standards he sets and practices in his office. I went to another periodontist who told me that I should have a costly procedure done on my daughter. Since I had visited Dr. Anson before, I decided to see him to have the procedure done. He could have easily confirmed the first opinion because I went in prepared to have this procedure done in his office. Instead, he suggested further hygienic care and said my daughter was really too young for the procedure that had been recommended. I highly recommend Dr. Anson.
