The‍best dentist in the universe! He is the only compassionate, empathic family‍­‍dentist that my daughter and myself both go to where we feel both feel like smiling before, during and after we go! Dr. Claudia cleans teeth with a gentle touch‍! She is divine. A talented doctor and dentist! Her bedside manner is cool, calm, kind and authentic! She tells you the truth without fail! When she cleans my daughters teeth… my daughter laughs watching her movies and says, ahhhhh, it’s over?! Mom, please can I stay??? Next, is the dentist of love! Yes, he is like the Buddha of dentistry!!! Laughing, joking and always making his chosen family feel comfortable and taken care of… I can not recommend an office, staff and team more or without doubt than these smile Angels …‍Hence, the name… the office and ambiance is decorous-​earth compliance… While the team are celestial in nature!!! There is no place like home sweet home and if your teeth are going in for a check up from the neck up? Dr. Vafa and all his staff, from the front desk to the dental hygienists have always taken care of me and my two young children so well. We have been patients for years and my kids feel at home here and that means a lot! There is a room especially for kids that has a tv above the dental chair so the children can watch movies during their visit. I also recommend Dr. K for Ortho treatment!

Dr. Vafa is amazing. He takes the time to explain everything to his patients and he gives you various options when it comes to treatments. With his modern office and friendly staff, Smile Angels is the clear choice:)

I had a great experience at smile Angels of Beverly Hills dental office. Bruce Vafa DDS. handled my dental emergency gently. I couldn’t be happier to hear i just needed a root canal. The other dentist told me I should pull out the teeth! With a simple root canal i was able to keep my tooth. I highly recommend dr. Vafa.

Dr. Vafa and Dr. K (Ortho) are great. My kids were afraid of going to the dentist until we started coming here. In fact, they enjoy their visits to Smile Angels. Sheila, Vanessa, Claudia and the rest of the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I don’t trust my children to just anyone. They offer peace of mind which I believe is PRICELESS! I find that their prices are very competitive.
Overall based on my experience, they are all very nice people who do great work. I will continue to use them and to recommend them.

The staffs are so helpful and friendly. You walk into very nice ambiance which is really a necessity for a dentist office. Dr. Vafa is a very knowledgeable dentist who explains to you the problem and what treatments you might need. The charge is pretty fair. He was recommended by one one my friends and I’m happy to know Dr. Vafa. He is very caring and does his best. Such a great experience!

I highly recommend Dr Vafa and his staff to anyone looking for a dentist in LA. He is a very generous man, and I have had dental work done at his Smile Angels office for over five years now.

The other guys are right, Dr. vafa is all about the money. I kept driving out of Valencia since ny son liked the TV and toy in the office. But really Dr. Vafa spent no time with my son, the dental hygienists plow through the cleanings. When my son needed a cavity fixed he spit up the oral sedation because he is 4 and obviously won’t drink yucky medicine. Dr. Vafa overbooked and sent us home without trying the gas. when we came back a second time the staff was a bitch, they had an unqualified student taking an x ray and shs couldn’t use the machine. Later they decided my son moved too much for proper x ray (although standing in the hall I saw the x rays and they looked ok to me) they didnt try anything further sent us away. Our insurance covered everything but the gas and cavity filling and since they did nothing I asked for the money back and they refused, said since they scheduled it we had to pay and if we still wanted the procedure done we’d have to pay $ 880 at least for an anesthesiologist on top of what we already paid ! No seevices rendered and a shitty attitude the whole time the technicians were saying we dont want to x ray anymore and giving me a dirty look before handing it off to a student intern! THE WORST, I am reporting this guy to the dental board !

I found Dr. Vafa by chance and what a great choice.
His staff is professional, friendly and nice. They put you at ease for whatever you are going through.
Dr. Vafa is a class act. He is helping me through some tough times with my teeth after years of trouble. I cannot praise him and his office enough.

DR VAFA IS THE BEST!!! my 6 year old son had to have a procedure under full anesthesia for over 2 hours. Dr. Vafa was so sweet and kind throughout the entire process. He followed up with us at home all throughout the recovery. his heart is bigger than his much appreciated talents as a doctor and especially a kid friendly one. He has our eternal trust with our children and their smiles. thanks again :).

I have had four appointments with Dr. Vafa and his staff.
My first appointment, I arrived and a friendly staff member told me that this was the dentist’s office where the movie Hangover 2 was filmed. She explained that since I was a new patient I would get a tour of the office to see where they filmed. I waited over 45 minutes in the waiting room and eventually she came back and said that she was sorry that it was taking so long and that the children’s dental chair was open. She asked if I was fine with sitting there, which I was. Not sure what happened to the tour she spoke about, but I was never given it and it was never mentioned again. Not that I cared whatsoever, it was just interesting to me that they did not care about it. Maybe they realized how silly it was, and me sitting out in the waiting area for almost an hour was more important. As for the dental assistant who cleaned my teeth, she told me that I should stop using my electric toothbrush since it is not good for my teeth and is really only meant for people with down-​syndrome. since they cannot control the pressure they apply while brushing their teeth.
My second appointment, Dr. Vafa implied, not asked, if I drank coffee. I said no, he then said, «tea?», and I replied no. He said that my teeth were a little yellow and that I could fix that with a bleaching treatment. I will say that I think my teeth are very white and I have never thought they were yellow at all, however Dr. Vafa was really pushing the bleaching treatment. This really turned me off since I felt it was a very cosmetic procedure and that is not what I expected him to be so concerned with. I got a x-​ray and after wards I realized that I had received one during my last visit six months ago. Not sure why I needed one twice in one year, but I figured Dr. Vafa must have really had a concern. After viewing my x-​rays, I had no problems.
On my third visit, Dr. Vafa examined my teeth before the cleaning and said that I needed two x-​rays. More x-​rays?! I politely told him that I would prefer to only do x-​rays once a year. He accepted my request and canceled the x-​rays. Not sure why he feels it is necessary each time? I have to wonder how much insurance is paying him each time he takes x-​rays. After he examined my mouth, his dental assistant came in and practically murdered my gums. Holy hell, I have never had so much blood in my mouth. First she looked at my teeth and complemented me, saying I took great care of my teeth by flossing everyday and brushing twice a day. Then she began scraping my teeth so hard that I literally could feel my gums ripping. I should have said something, but I did not. She literally told me, «Do not swallow, you are full of blood.» Gross! My poor gums. I watched as the clear suction tool sucked up so much blood from the inside of mouth. It was disgusting and disturbing. She then asked me if my gums bleed this much all the time, and I said «They never bleed», she then laughingly said, «wow, so I was really that rough with you?» I told her «yes». She then flossed my teeth and cleaned them with the electric cleaning tool. It was the fastest, most violent cleaning I have ever experienced and I have been going to the dentists twice a year for my entire life.
As you can probably guess, I will not be returning to Smile Angels of Beverly Hills.

I saw Dr Vafa for the 1^st time today and I am not going to another dentist for sure! I totally trust this guy. He showed me my X-​rays and pictures. Everything was crystal clear and he gave me a simple breakdown of my big tooth problem (which has been hurting a lot). He was very friendly and understanding. I felt very comfortable being treated by him, even with all those metal dental tools (which usually scare me a LOT). Im sending my mom to him too!

Boy am I glad I read the reviews on here prior to going. I was a bit skeptical because I think most people judge dental offices on customer service and pain rather than how good the actual work is. For instance, one dentist can be nice as ever and virtually painless when cleaning teeth, but little might you know that he can be doing a crappy job, or vise versa… Just cuz the procedure might’ve hurt a bit doesn’t mean your dentist sucks and doesn’t know what he’s doing, lol. I’m not saying that this is the case for dentists but it is something to think about. Some of my personal friends are dentists and we discuss this from time to time.
At the end of the day, what matters most is receiving great work. And this is what I got at Smile Angels. I could tell that the girl who cleaned my teeth (Sophie?) did an AWESOME job because of how thorough she was. She didn’t rush through it and she made sure she cleaned every single corner. Throughout the cleaning she constantly asked if I was ok which I admired. Then the dentist came and he carefully looked at her work and gave me suggestions and a detailed explanation of my teeth. The equipment at this office is top notch, as is the customer service and most important… the dental work!
I only wish they validated parking. You can find spots on the street and walk over like I did. Overall, a great dental office and I’m glad I came here. My teeth are so clean that I’m ready to do Crest commercials.

I love this office. It was my first time here, and everybody was very nice and welcoming. You can tell it’s a family place — everyone is caring and warm.
I had a short appointment with Dr. Vafa, who was very nice. I see some people saying that he’s «unfriendly». Nope. He is very friendly. He even recommended me a colleague of his who can do a more specialized piece of dentistry.
Cynthia gave me a deep cleaning. Yes, it hurt somewhat. It’s something that hurts generally, but don’t worry, you’ll be fine. They’ll numb you up if you need it, don’t worry. They all did a remarkable job. My teeth have literally never felt cleaner.

Where do I begin… my boyfriend had a toothache for about a month, but couldn’t see a dentist because he has a super hectic schedule. After numerous complaints I asked him to make an appointment, but one of the only day’s he had for a month was a Sunday. This conversation took place on a Saturday. So I searched the internet high and low and found rave reviews about Dr. Vafa. I emailed him and asked him if he’d see my boyfriend that Sunday (the next day). He emailed me back promptly with an appointment time. We made it to the appointment and it turned out my BF needed a root canal. EVERYONE was so nice and accommodating. Dr. Vafa did the root canal at that time and allowed me to stay in the room to watch the procedure.
The procedure went really well, so well in fact that my BF fell asleep during the thing!!! We’re both SOOO pleased we found him. He’s an amazing Dr. and such a wonderfully sweet man. There aren’t many (if at all any others) dentists who give you the «warm and fuzzies», but Dr. Vafa is definitely one of them. If there were more stars to give, I’d give them to him.

I originally found Dr. Vafa online after googling various doctors. I decided to give him a try because he had a lot of good reviews and also because of their flexible schedule.
Things I love about this office: Karrah, the receptionist, is always friendly and accommodating. Dr. Vafa is always welcoming and has a soft hand. He gives the best shots! All his assistants are wonderful as well. They work late and even on some Saturdays and Sundays!
I’ve been going to him for a couple years now and am very grateful to have found such a wonderful dentist. A few of my friends and family also go to Dr. Vafa because of me :)

I’ve been going to Dr. Vafa for the past couple years and have been really happy with the care I’ve received from him. I originally chose him because I saw that he works with kids and since I’m a big baby about everything that pokes, drills, and cuts, I figured that I could use the same type of treatment. And I was right. He actually has a TV screen on the ceiling in the little kids room and I’m kinda jealous for that. But I digress. I’ve had a bunch of cavities and have gotten through them all with Dr. Vafa in addition to my bi-​annual cleanings. Obviously, dental visits aren’t fun no matter how great the dentist is, but my visits here have been as good as they could be. Also, the office staff is pretty awesome and always gives me a great goody bag to go home with :)
