The Pain and Neurology Institute was founded in 1999 with the mission to provide exceptional care to patients with neurologic disorders and pain.

Following the belief of an integrated approach to health, the Beverly Hills Wellness Center was subsequently established to further optimize our patients’ well-​being with a focus of health promotion.

Together, the Pain and Neurology Institute and the Wellness Center unite treatment of existing medical conditions and prevention of future illness. Dr. Uzun is a board certified, internationally known neurologist with specialized training in brain and spinal injuries. His practice is dedicated to the provision of quality health care in the form of evaluation and management of complex health conditions, pain control, and wellness promotion. Dr. Uzun believes in an integrated approach to health care involving both patient and provider in the individualized plan of care.

Dr. Uzun specializes in back and neck pain, nerve injury, and neuropathic pain using a variety of pain control techniques and diagnostic methods to determine the origin pain and the most effective manner of treatment.

We went to Dr. Uzen for urgent care for our son. He gave our son an IV steroid and lied to us and said it was a vitamin. He gave us NO paperwork or receipt of any sort upon our departure. He tried to convince us to return to him for follow up care rather than our primary care pediatrician. He was extremely «shady» for lack of a better word.

Dr. Guven Uzun, Neurologist with Beverly Hills Pain Institute & Neurology AND Playa Medical Plaza in Playa Vista, CA is as good as it gets !! Over more than a year, numerous previous doctors only further damaged my spine, rather than treat and repair appropriately. In the first month, Dr. Uzun utilized the latest technology, P-​STIM, in order to reduce the pain, suffering and damage done. Next he followed the P-​STIM with the latest in technology for laser surgery of my lower lumbar. Now over 2 weeks post surgery, I can already determine he has repaired my spine and I can return to (land and water) physical therapy, in order to strengthen and maintain my physical health. In only 2 months, Dr. Uzun has returned my spine to it’s previous health, prior to being assaulted and mistreated last year. Dr. Uzun is a kind, funny, compassionate and gifted doctor utilizing the latest state of the art technology in non-​invasive medical procedures.

WARNING avoid this place at ALL costs! ITS A BIG CON !!! They are in fact unlicensed and unauthorized to give you medication/​prescriptions let alone medical care!!! The Russian doctor said he had to call in to his «colleagues» to get the medication, (the medication was 20x more expensive and very fishy compared to a normal prescription, even CVS couldn’t figure out what was so shady) and I heard the receptionist lady call a number and say hi I need a refill for a patient. I demanded a receipt and wanted to make sure I didn’t get billed for God knows what so the lady declined to give me a receipt after arguing the point we got the receipt AND SHE FORGED THE DOCTORS SIGNATURE and then crossed it out and said oops and signed her signature. I also have the whole entire thing on recorder (because that’s how much I couldn’t trust them going in) they have so much malpractice paperwork you have to fill out its hilarious! They want to make VERY SURE you can’t sue them, but really you can! Their photos and website is a JOKE when you walk in this place is a dump, it smells so bad that we almost threw up and waited outside until called in, should of left right then and there but gave it a shot. Again AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Whoever wants my recording contact me and I will post it to YouTube.

Maybe I made a mistake above and assumed the dr was Russian but it was indeed dr uzun and his signature female forging assistant, I also got threatened by them see my uploaded photo for the private message! They are going to neutralize me.

Beverly Hills Pain Institute was professional, caring, and willing to go above and beyond the level of care that I had received at previous physical therapy clinics in the city. From the front office to doctors the place has a warmth and feeling a family which is rarely found with a health-​care provider. I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need of surgeons or a doctor for your aches and pains.

I highly recommend Dr. Guven Uzun as a Neurologist and Pain Specialist. He is a very professional and caring doctor, becuase first he listens to your problems and really cares and feels what exactly your concerns and problems are. And then he takes the appropriate measures to fix your problems. I had tremendous back pain from sports injury, and he took the appropriate steps to see what my problem was and after his procedure and good advice now I can actually dunk the basketball.
His philosophy and approach to people basically centered about helping people. Please go see him and you will feel the difference.

I joined Unilocal solely to warn people about Dr. Uzun. Please check the Medical Board of California website. You will see that Dr. Uzun’s license was suspended temporarily and he is now on 8 years probation. Without going into too much detail, I went to Dr. Uzun for routine migraine treatment and prescription updates when I moved to LA. I left in severe pain after being given unnecessary tests and injections. As I was writhing in pain, one of Dr. Uzun’s nurses shot me with a tranquilizer without explaining what was going on. It was a terrifying experience for a normally routine doctor’s visit.
A few months later, I was sent a bill for $ 8,000 for these tests and injections that I never agreed to. When I finally got my medical records, I found that my entire medical history and visit was falsified for insurance purposes, and my signature was forged on consent forms.
Please do your research and find a legitimate doctor — I do not want anyone else to have to go through this experience.
