As the song goes… My neck… my back… and it was: my neck, my back, my hip, my tight hamstring and a slue of other aches and pains, untill I went to see Gail at the Women’s PT. The woman is patient, kind, and she really really knows her stuff. For a little lady she sure is strong too!
There are several therapists working and you can find the one that meshes with you, as they all have different personalities, styles and approaches. There is also pilates and massage offered, as well as water therapy at their other location in Santa Monica.
Parking is a block down the street for 1 hour free and $ 1 after (just dont park butt in or you’ll get a ticket as I did today -$ 58!!! I am starting to get tension in my neck just thinking about it)
The inconvinience: Working hours. I wish they worked a little bit later till maybe 6 or 7 for those of us that still have to work during the day. Also, maybe half a day on Saturday would be great.
Ask to see Sochin for massage – she is awsome. And Laura or Jen for pilates – really really great!

I came to this office in massive pain with back, neck and shoulder issues. Nothing specific happened to me, just years of … stuff. You know?
I wasn’t sure what to expect but I have had nothing but positive experiences from this office. Appointments, when made in advance, are easy to swing and even if you don’t get an appointment for the week, the front office is nice enough to put you on a rolling waiting list. Nearly always, I was called during the week with a spot.
Their PTs are great and come from a variety of backgrounds. After assessing you and your goals, you’ll discuss a great plan that incorporates physical therapy and other modalities (ie., gentle yoga, gentle Pilates, massage) that are offered in the clinic. So you’ll see your PT in one visit, and one of the other therapists the next time, on a rotating basis.
Despite the name, they certainly do have male clients. So I’d encourage anyone looking for thorough, comprehensive care to call the office for an assessment. They take a lot of insurance plans but you have to stay on top of your insurance company to find out how many visits they limit patients to. Often times it’s unlimited but with medical necessity… so stay on top of that! You’ll need to advocate for yourself here, so pay attention to your insurance statements.
Parking is pretty decent: meters down Crescent Dr. or one of the side streets. There’s also a city lot a block down — the 1^st hour is free.
I got a lot of great help and have them in my speed dial now. I’m very grateful to them, especially a few who have given me some core and back strength and education. What a crucial thing to have!
