I’m so happy with the color of my hair! I had to find someone last minute to do my hair that is close to me. Most people really mess it up and Malcolm did a fantastic job! Thank you so much buddy!

I have been a sports reporter on ESPN for 5 years. I recently had Malcolm bring me from Blonde back to my original dark color. He is a genius at knowing not only how color will settle but what techniques to make your hair look completely natural like it has never been touched. I love my hair now more than ever. He’s been in the business for ever and is always current. GO SEE HIM.

I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored with Malcolm for 5+ years. We recently started adding a Keratin treatment and my hair has never looked better. The salon has a nice relaxed vibe. No attitude like in other Beverly Hills salons. Samantha is a recent addition and she has done a great job on my brows. I love having everything taken care of in one place. I highly recommend this salon if you want to walk out looking and feeling great.

Samantha is one of the greatest colorist I’ve come across in a VERY long time. She knows the perfect shade to cover my gray and get my (natural looking) blond steak staying light yet still healthy. And all for a great price to boot.

Every time I go I feel as though my hair is night and day.
For a men’s cut, it’s fast and looks great. Malcolm is also just a really nice guy who’s actually engaged in the conversation you’re having.

! Love this team, location, and service. Took this place for granted when I lived closer. Parking is available & you rarely have to use valet. Valet is located adjoint the Starbucks, though… So you win either way. ;)

I visited Beverly Hills color bar last week to have Malcom put some highlights in my hair. He did an amazing job! Its looks totally natural and my hair actually looks and feels healthier then it did before. How is that even possible?! He’s truly an expert and I highly recommend him!

This is the place to be! Malcom is the best and always does EXACTLY what you ask for, he is a pro! I don’t trust anyone when it comes to my hair but Malcom knows exactly what to do and always gives me exactly what I want. He colors my mom and my sister’s hair and does an AMAZING job, my mom leaves looking younger every time. He even styled my brother’s hair for him one day and he left looking like a high fashion male model. We live in Thousand Oaks and don’t mind the drive down to Beverly Hills because it’s worth it. They are also adding to the salon and will soon be doing makeup and eyebrows which is awesome because now you can be ready for the red carpet after one visit here :) If you haven’t been here before, you need to come check it out because everyone in there is professional and will make you look like a super star! My family and I love this place!

I hadn’t been happy with my haircut or color in years until I went to Beverly Hills Color Bar. I had gone through about 6 hairstylists until I met Malcolm. He knew exactly what to do and I walked out very happy with the results! He was correct when he said that my hair would be low maintenance as well. Malcolm is a master at color and incredible at cutting: he is not scissor happy Of course, I’m returning and naturally, I’m referring. I’ve gotten many compliments.
The atmosphere is warm, friendly and very comfortable. Incidentally, I brought my 19 year old son with me who had said: «Mom, another one?» I said: «Trust me. I have a good feeling about this one.» He said that he, too, was never so happy with his hair.
If I were you, I’d book an appointment. You’ll be very pleased with the results.

After reading about the salon in allure magazine I decided to risk letting someone «new» highlight my hair. After stopping by to check them out I immediately booked an appointment with Jade for my return toLA. At the appointment she asked lots of questions about what I wanted and we. Looked for pictures but could not find «the one» I left it up to Jade and she did an amazing job! It is even better than I hoped!
Jade knows her color for sure, not the «cookie cutter» LA blonde here although I’m sure she can give you that if you want… I will be flying to LA for highlights from now on…

I just started going to Colorbar because I followed Layo from his last salon. He is fantastic. I totally trust him because I think he has great vision and really understands a style to fit your face. He will be creative if you let him, but he also listens to what you want and follows to the letter. He’s been cutting my hair for at least five years now. I don’t know what I would do without him. Give it a try!!!

Malcolm gave me one of my favorite haircuts. He really listened to me and paid very close attention to my hair. My cut looked clean and chic! Just what I wanted!

Highlights? Ask for Jade! Seriously.
I’ve been going to BH Color Bar for over two years, but last week I went out on a limb and had someone new do my highlights — her name was Jade — and I could NOT be happier! Here are a few reasons why I’ll go to no one else from here on out:
1. She listened. I told her the look I was going for — a Jennifer Aniston/​Cameron Diaz blonde. I asked to lightened up my previous dirty-​blonde style, but to definitely stay away from that all-​over California bleached barbie-​doll look. Without much explaining, she totally got it. Jade suggested we do two colors — one sort of a caramel color, the other a brighter/​lighter blonde. She suggested we frame my face with the lighter of the two shades where the sun would naturally hit my hair. She worked the caramel in to add dimension and the result was a.m.a.z.i.n.g.
2. She foiled the sh*t out of my hair. I told her I like really thin highlights — none of those chunky/​thick ones. As tedious of a process thin foiling is, Jade packed my head THICK with rows and rows of the thinnest layers. The time and attention she gave my highlights was beyond praiseworthy. Most colorists want to move people in and out, but Jade spent the time (it took a couple of hours) to do such an amazing job and give me exactly what I wanted. The result was so natural, with perfectly integrated color!
3. She offered maintenance suggestions. She noticed that my shower water had turned my hair slightly green prior to coming in and suggested easy rinses to do every couple of weeks to cleanse my blonde hair from the less-​than-​pure water. She also suggested ways to protect my hair from damage including using dry shampoo and different heat protecting sprays. I liked that she offered up extra info, was just nice to see that she cared (she wasn’t pushing any products, there aren’t items for sale here).
Moral of the story: go to Jade if you want great highlights. She did an amazing job and she was really fun to talk to! She probably also does other great work, but highlights are all I’ve gotten done so far. Anyways, LOVE HER and you should definitely have her do your next ‘do!

I really loved this place! I just moved to the area and was looking for a good place to get my hair done. I kind of stumbled upon The Color Bar and they were able to squeeze me onto their books the day I called. I absolutely LOVED Lindsay. She was so adorable and sweet and honestly, really good at her job. The place was on the smaller side, but I thought it was very cute and they had everything I needed. The prices were super affordable too.
Lindsay was honest about what should be done with my hair and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting to get their hair done. I’ll be back for sure!

Lindsay Tasior impresses me more and more every time I go to her! This time I needed her to style me for a show at the House of Blues. I showed her two pictures I found off of Pinterest and she literally brought them to life! My hair was epic– it was exactly what I was going for and people RAVED about it all night. Seriously — I came to her over my lunch break, and girlfriend washed, trimmed, blew out and flat ironed my hair in ONE HOUR. She was totally professional, really knew what she was doing, and was very nice and easy to talk to! 100% recommend!

I found Malcolm from a Groupon 3.5 years ago & he completely changed my life! He is absolutely amazing & won my loyalty with his coloring expertise. He completely transformed my hair from a disasterous platinum blonde into a beautiful natural blonde. I’ve never been happier & I will NEVER go to anyone else! !! He truly works magic for an affordable price. I have sent many of my girlfriends to him and they are hooked too. Best money you’ll ever spend!

Awesome place. I’ve come a few times to get my hair cut here and every time they’ve impressed me. My stylist is Lindsay, sweet girl & really pays attention to detail. I’m a guy and for haircuts, I’ve always had stylist depend on the machine to do all the work. Lindsay has a good balance or sometimes just users her scissors to make it happen.
Parking can be tough sometimes since it’s in beverly hills but prices are reasonable, service is great. & the place is clean. I can’t speak for all the stylists cause I stick with Lindsay for my cuts but I highly recommend her and this place.

After reading the review below about colorist Lindsey T, I had to make an appointment. I called and got in right away, which made me worried. When I showed up the place looked a mess– it’s «under renovation” — and there was no one at the front counter. When the receptionist materialized I was taken aback by his horribly painted on clown eyebrows, and inappropriate attire– he directed me to sit down and wait, no smock was given. When Lindsey came to greet me she asked why I wasn’t given a smock to which the boy at the front said I thought she was wearing it–
nope, just an expensive black Equipment blouse… thanks for offending me!
I sat down, explained I wanted to brighten my hair, and help out my root situation– she had the receptionist help double team my highlighting process, which as a «master stylist» I was surprised why he had to touch my hair at all.
BOTTOM LINE– she never toned my hair, and left it orange– which for $ 175 I could’ve done a better job. I work in the film industry, and the department heads for HMU both commented on how fried and orange my hair was because she never closed the cuticle. I tried calling the salon, but couldn’t continue to try to chase the owner down– I’m busy too!
The place was dirty, the people were rude, and for the price it’s total ROBBERY, totally ruined a thing that people usually compliment.
