Dr. Kaye saved my teeth.
I skied into a tree and had my four bottom front teeth partially evulsed. I contacted my regular dentist and he referred me to Dr. Kaye’s office for an emergency re-​implantation. Dr. Kaye knew immediately how to fix the problem and put my teeth right back into place quickly and carefully and wired my bottom teeth together to keep them in place. Now, two months after the accident, I feel good as new. I would trust him with any dental procedure. Not only that, but his office was fantastic in dealing with my insurance company to cover the procedure.

Dr. Kaye was absolutely phenomenal! I was recommended by my Godmother to see Dr. Kaye when I had an impacted wisdom tooth.
Dr. Kaye took a quick look and he said «welp. We gotta take that out».
I was in and out of Dr. Kaye’s within 30 minutes and I felt 100% better than when I walked in.
Thank you Dr. Kaye! Will go back for one more extraction.

I have to start with the fact that I loathe going to any doctor who is going to work inside my mouth! Having said that, Dr Kaye was professional and funny at the same time. He made sure that I was fully numb before he pulled the tooth. There was another time I was in his chair and the tooth was a little more difficult to pull and it actually cracked, but Dr. Kaye made it as comfortable as it could possibly be. Needless to say my anxiety levels aren’t as high coming to this office. The ladies at the desk are friendly and efficient and that is always a plus! Great experience all around!

nicest guy ever. So friendly and knowledgeable.
Although I had my wisdom teeth already pulled by Dr Goodman, I was referred to Dr Kaye because of a 5^th, hidden wisdom tooth deep down in my jawbone.
When I saw the x ray, I thought how is he going to get this one out ?!? It looked really complicated just looking at it.

To describe a visit to an oral surgeon as if it were a visit to a warm, cozy and pleasant home of your friends (rather than being summoned into a frightening ordeal), might sound like a far-​reaching analogy. But it really isn’t. Sans the aid of «Tchochkes», or any glamorous adornments, from the first encounter with the receptionists — one of whom might be the surgeon’s wife herself, Dorene — you feel like having been invited to, and participate in a friendly dialog about your… teeth…I’ve been a patient of Dr. Alan Kaye’s for over 10 years, since I first came for a tooth extraction. I have had 3 more extractions and 2 implants, since then. Never have I needed to look at the TV screen for entertainment: Dr. Kaye provided it himself — explaining every step of the procedure, performing it painlessly, with ease, comfort and a light touch — with his unique sense of humor, which would always leave the smile on my face last a long time after I left the office. I’m a due for another implant, soon. And — I can’t believe I’m saying this — I’m looking forward to it. Dr AK is OhKaye.

I had my first surgery ever with Dr. K (4 wisdom teeth; i was very nervous) but everything went so well. The staff was super helpful answering my questions and helping me with a payment plan. Dr. Kaye’s work was so good, I cant say enough good things about him. Jessica his assistant as well. They were so understanding with how anxious I was and they work was impeccable. The sedation they gave me was perfect, did not feel a thing. Took a week to heal as normal and when I came back to get my stitches out, there was no pain at all. I will recommend to anyone I know getting their wisdom teeth out in the future. They take care of you here! Worth every penny

I had an infected wisdom tooth and when I got to Dr. Kaye I could not even open my mouth and was in a lot of pain. Dr. Kaye was very caring and so was his Staff. After a few days of antibiotics I showed up for the surgery. I was totally scared as I had read all the horror stories on line of all that could go wrong with wisdom teeth surgery. Beyond taking some time to stretch my mouth with all kinds of gadgets so he could actually get to the tooth, and the pain of the injection (due to the infected gum), he was so skilled that by the time I was numbed and I blinked the tooth was out. I had only minor swelling for a day, very little bleeding and needed only 1 Aleve. His Staff followed up with me the same day. He answered all my questions before during and after the whole process. He even helped me with exercises to get my jaw muscle slowly back to stretching out. If you go to him you are in excellent hands!

I would give a negative mark if I could. Brutal. I’m still having difficulty opening my mouth 3 weeks after surgery.

I have to agree with the majority of reviewers — this is about as pleasant an oral surgery experience gets.
The receptionist at this office is friendly and helpful; Dr. Kaye’s assistant is equally friendly and very calming; Dr. Kaye is funny, efficient and professional.
I was in and out (paperwork, x-​rays, wisdom teeth removal) in about 45 minutes. I didn’t need stitches and my recovery time was less than 24 hours — not sure how much this has to do with how the surgery was done, but this was NOT my experience with previous dental surgery. So easy!
Bonus points for TVs in every room playing the Food Network and some very potent nitrous oxide. :)

I had three upper teeth removed by Dr. Kaye. I know oral surgery can be painful — I’d had it before — but nothing as bad as this. I was definitely not sedated enough for the procedure. They gave me three pieces of sterile gauze when I left and told me to bite down on the gauze in my mouth for 25 minutes. I bled for the next eight hours — everytime I opened my mouth, blood poured out. He didn’t give me any stitches, and said I didn’t need them. And the charge of $ 900 for removing three teeth seemed a little high by comparison. I have to have my bottom teeth removed, and I am definitely not going back for him to do the procedure. I wouldn’t write this but his other reviews are so positive (if years older) I felt like I should give anyone looking for a pleasant oral surgery (oxymoron alert!) a heads up.

There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about having dental work done. I’ve been to Dr Kaye twice to have my wisdom teeth out, and both times, he made a generally dreadful experience almost, well, fun. He’s so funny and personable, it’s almost a joy to visit his office. The office staff is GREAT — Doreen and Jessica couldn’t have been nicer. If you have the misfortune of needing any teeth pulled, go see Dr Kaye.

For something as scary and annoying as getting your wisdom teeth out, Dr. Kaye’s office does a great job making you feel calm and comfortable.
Atmosphere:
The moment you walk in, you feel quite serene. Greeting you is a small waiting room with a clean fish tank, TV, smiling receptionist/​aide, and four chairs. Sitting down, you know that you won’t have to wait long, since there appears to be nobody else there. Also, for those who are a bit scared, they have TVs in each room, which allows you to get your mind off of what is going on in your mouth.
Staff:
Very friendly and caring staff. Nancy, the receptionist and dental aide is very friendly and makes sure that you understand what is happening and that you are comfortable. She also suggested that if I was nervous, I could bring in my ipod or watch TV during the surgery.
Dr. Kaye is also very friendly and explains all your options to make sure that you understand all available info before you make a decision.
When I called, I was able to get an appointment within a few days or later that day, which is nice.
Surgery:
Dr. Kaye had a great way of administering the anaesthesia — he shook my cheek as he poked my gums. I didn’t even notice what he was doing! This is great because I was really scared of having a needle in my mouth. That was the worst part of the whole ordeal and it only took a few minutes! After that I didn’t feel a thing!
As I was rather cold during the surgery, I was able to grab a blanket out of the cupboard to put on my legs.
Post-​Surgery:
Although I had my surgery on Friday, Dr. Kaye called me on Sunday to make sure that I was recovering and was not in too much pain.
I called ask about ear pain and they invited me to come in later that day to be looked at. Two days later, they did a follow up call to see if the help given at drop-​in appointment had been helpful, which it had.
Con:
The only thing that could have made the experience flawless was if I had been given a cleaning syringe at the end of the surgery. As it turns out, when I went back to the office to get my stitches out, I complained about an earache. Only then was I given this tool to help with the cleaning process of the wound.
Parking:
Lots of parking around the area: metered lots off Roxbury or free parking at Rite Aid.
