I hired Ms Savit to fight our school transfer case.
We won (we had a very strong case to begin with)… which is the most important thing. I was reffering her to other people until I continued to receive ridiculous nickel and dime bills from her for advice I hadn’t asked for. The final straw was when she billed me for reviewing a thank you letter that I sent to her! I told her that I did not intend to pay her for reviewing a thank you letter that I wrote and I got a nasty letter back.
A small token of advice (free of charge); don’t bill the client for thanking you and don’t lose a happy client over frivilous charges. There is a term for this– it is called being penny wise and pound foolish.
