My case was led by Joye Wiley. My fiancé was in Ukraine, and we did not have a chance of being together until the change in DOMA. I hired Ms. Wiley in August of 2013. She guided us every step of the stressful way to get a K1 visa. We got it from the first attempt in the Kiev Embassy.

I worked with Cara Jobson on my successful citizenship application. It was actually a pretty straightforward case, but there was a technicality which could have become troublesome. It was well worth it to have Cara take care of the filing, prepping me and accompanying me to the interview. One thing I appreciated is that Wiley & Jobson had a flat upfront fee. I had contacted a couple other lawyers in the East Bay since that where I am based, but their fee structure was more vague and you did not know how much this was going to cost you. Plus Cara was very personable and fun to work with.

Any dealing with the immigration involves tons of paperwork, intimate knowledge of deadlines, and general knowledge of how they process things. In this regard I was more than happy for having Cara by my side to assure that I wouldn’t get delayed or turned down because of overlooking a detail. I was charged a fair set fee, that didn’t go up as I ran into some minor bumps along the way. Cara was always available same day for any questions that I had. She is also fluent in Spanish (which didn’t help me in any way, but I still find impressive).
