Hard drive crashed? In most cases, I can recover your files, documents and photos at a small fraction of the cost of the major data recovery centers. For those rare times when deeper forensic work is needed, I am a partner with DriveSavers so you get a preferred discount rate.

Established in 2012.

Since the first Macintosh arrived in 1984, I’ve been a Mac geek, delving deep into what makes the computer tick, and helping friends, family and work colleagues to get the most out of their computers. I’m now doing this full time as a business.

Business Owner

Howard’s been working on Apple products since the very first Macintosh debuted in 1984. He started We Fix Your Mac in 2012 as a full time business, using skills he developed over decades as a user and doing Mac support for co-​workers, friends and family.

For most of Howard’s career, he worked in the broadcast industry in a variety of roles in technical management, sales and management, including designing the technical infrastructure of many radio stations and national networks.

Howard’s real passion is helping people. While he gets satisfaction in bringing a dead computer back to life and recovering files given up for lost, it’s getting his clients back to productivity that really motivates him.

Never got around to leaving a feedback for Howard after our visit. To put it plain and simple, this man knows his stuff. I had the infamous apple with white screen freeze on my Mac 27“and he took my computer in and fixed the problem. Unfortunately I needed a new hard drive but that was what I expected. He went above and beyond by suggesting ways to make the system run more efficiently and even installed a second drive to get things moving faster. I can’t say enough about what his work means to someone like me. I’m a photographer and having a Mac running like a champ is key. I have even dropped him a question on Unilocal and he has responded promptly. Highly recommended.

Howard has taken my Imac several times and fixed the various problems. That included replacing the fusion drive with a new drive etc. He has a great attitude and you can rest assured that he is very fair with his customers. I can’t recommend his customer service enough. Thanks Howard!

I can’t say enough about my experience with Howard. I called him up and we discussed my Mac Pro’s problem. He said I bring it by for a diagnostic, which I did, leaving it overnight. The next morning I got a text telling me that he had repaired some damage on the hard rive, but the issue was the video chip (which he had suspected form my description originally).
Now here’s the kicker which separates him from the rest and earned my trust– instead of giving me an exorbitant quote to replace it, he had researched the problem and found that apple had a repair extension program for this model and problem. So I was eligible for a free repair by apple, and would not have known if he had not told me. He could have had me pay for a costly repair, but instead did the right thing and saved me a lot of $$$. I offered to pay him for the work he did do with the hard drive and his time, and he accepted a modest sum.
He was very nice, accessible and responded quickly– I highly recommend him. I know who I will call if I have any other commuter issues in the future. Thanks Howard.

My six year old (seven??) MacBook Pro was slow and cranky which was making me feel the same. I didn’t know if I was going to have to shell out for a new computer, which would be impossible at this point in my life anyway. I called Howard and he was super fast getting back with me, very on top of it, made some suggestions and fixed the problems. I got my computer back quickly and it is working great now!!! It feels like a brand new computer. I’m so happy and so grateful.

My 2013 Mac desktop just became slow as molasses — yeah, the perpetually spinning rainbow ball taunting me endlessly. After trying several on-​line suggestions to bring it up-​to-​speed, I gave up. Talked to several vendors and Howard just seemed like the right guy and his quote was competitive. He was even willing to come to my house as I had a heavy desktop. However, as his house was close to mine, and as important, had easy street parking, I trucked it over.
Long story short, Howard fixed it within his estimate, basically replacing the HD and reloading everything. As I store a lot of videos, music, etc,. I agreed to increasing storage from 1T to 2T HD, a mere $ 47 increase. Finally, we added some more RAM to make sure speed stays speedy over the next few years.
Howard also spent ½ hour with me going running through everything including double-​checking or installing new passwords and gave me some good navigation tips. He waived the charge for the tutorial.
All in all, I am more than pleased I took it to him. I feel I have a resurrected desktop — like new and should last a few more years — without paying for a new one.
It’s also clear that Howard is spiritually inclined and thus, ethically does good work and charges what he says he will. Oh, did I mention he’s easy to work with? In person, he looks friendlier than his current photo a la“Breaking Bad.”

All i can say is Howard is the B-​O-​M-​B. My computer died and i found him on Unilocal,called and he managed to make is way over to my house within a couple of hours. the problem was sadly not an easy one to fix, but he did it as quickly as humanly possible, and saved me a lot of money in the process. I’d been on the verge of buying a new computer and Howard managed to fix my dying computer and update it in the process and it runs like a dream now — faster and more reliable than ever.
He also helped me design a back up system, which had a few issues due to a drive failure, and he came back for a trouble shoot on that issue for no extra charge.
He’s a dream to work with, responsive and fair. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Howard made a house call and rebuilt and debugged my iTunes library after I upgraded from a PowerPC Mac to a Quad-​Core. He had all the tools and apps he needed at his fingertips, and it took much less time to do it than I had to do it myself. He even showed me the easiest way to back up my Mac to the cloud – something I knew I needed to do but never got around to doing. I’ll definitely recommend Howard to other Mac-​heads.

After my mac completely crashed and couldn’t boot up at all, I was at a loss to find a place to fix it that was a reasonable distance away from me. However, I was very lucky to find Howard on Unilocal.He gave me a price quote over the phone for his services and saw my computer the same day I called. I got to choose whether I wanted to stick to a replacement 750 GB HD or an SSD, had that installed, and had all of my data recovered and the latest OS X Mavericks installed. My computer was ready to pick up the next day. I wasn’t expecting him to be so fast with his work, and he was super friendly! I recommend him over any Apple Genius any day.

After returning from the Genius Bar reeling from the news my MacBook Pro 750gb hard drive was corrupted. Possibly all my data was lost and the only thing they could do was sell and install a new drive. After Unilocaling «data recovery» I found We Fix Your Mac. Not only was all my data recovered and new larger hard drive installed. My system was optimized and updated with the latest OS.

Is Howard the cheapest? I don’t know, but really, he’s not that expensive. Anyway, you LIKE your computer, right? So it’s worth having the repair done right, and done fast.
Howard is a tireless SOB — he’s worked nights and weekends on my computers to get me back in business ASAP. He communicates regularly about the status and gives you all the info you need to make an informed decision about what to do with your troubled Mac. Most importantly — the dude knows his stuff. What else could you ask for? Do it.

Howard is excellent. Mac Daddy! We needed him initially for upgrading and synching a disparate email and calendar system for a small business and continued on with a few other projects, including improving and simplifying the home network, upgrading some software, a backup iCloud solution, and setting up wireless printers. Howard was able to get everything done efficiently and seamlessly and is his rates are very reasonable. He is also very responsive to phone calls, and an all around nice, nice guy. I decided to call We Fix Your Mac because I didn’t feel like waiting days/​weeks to get an appointment at the genius bar at a time that worked for me. I’m so glad I did. Howard was available and willing to meet the next day. His manner was easy, relaxed and not pushy at all, which I appreciated. When we met, he was very professional and very pleasant. He quickly fixed my Mac… and gave me some tips that I didn’t know I needed. I had a follow up question later, and he was very responsive and thorough.

I highly recommend «We Fix Your Mac». My previous mac consultant was no longer available, and I needed a house call to make sure all was well with my Mac Pro set up. So I looked on Unilocal and found Howard… wish I could give him more than 5 stars.

My husband and I don’t know much about computers so when our MacBook Pro stopped working we turned to Unilocal to find help! We saw Howard and his great reviews so we called him. He came over to our house explained in a way we could understand and gave us a run down of all possibilities of problems and cost. We felt so comfortable with him and trusted him. He called us a few days later and said it would be back at our house soon. 7 days and we have what feels like a brand new computer! He’s the best!
