Specialties

1) Couples come to me wanting to learn about communication skills. They leave knowing how to emotionally connect, really listen and be there for each other on a deep level. And I’m great with GUYS (and gals) that are not that excited to go to therapy.

2) Trauma: With Trauma, our nervous systems get over-​stimulated and we become hyper-​vigilant. We have to have things our way, it’s hard to not be suspicious that others are not safe. Our over-​activated nervous system make sure we’re safe by insuring we’re in control. Others find us off-​putting and it makes it hard for us to be in healthy relationships. I am trained in EMDR, a modality that is the most effective way of helping you help your nervous system be healed enabling the normal connections you long for.

3) Individuals: I help my individuals both transition through challenging life situations, and rewrite emotional blue-​prints so you will not set yourself up for similar challenges in the future.

What makes healthy people is healthy relationships. As a therapist, I help people have healthy relationships and I become a healthy relationship that helps you change your emotional blue-​print so you can have healthy relationships in the future.

COUPLES

When I work with couples, I help my couples learn how to become emotionally attuned to each other in a way that creates an emotional grounding that is transformative

Individuals

When I work with individuals, I’ll help you with the transition with the pain that draws you to therapy. I’ll also help you rework the emotional blue-​prints that set you up for having to face these pains.

TRAUMA

With my People who have PTSD and hyper-​vigilant symptoms due to Trauma, I help them (without even processing their trauma) transition from feeling overwhelmed and threatened to being able to feel safe and engaged. For people who are able to talk about their traumas, I also use EMDR to process their traumas so the symptoms are not necessary.

Do you feel uncomfortable in your own skin? Is your internal voice always scanning the environment to insure that you are safe? Do you have a sense that you have to perform for your partner or perform for your friends in order to be accepted? Does this lead to a sense of worry or bring you down?

You do not need to suffer in this way. Your anxiety, depression, and challenges in relationships can be transformed.

I both provide practical skills that can be helpful for you to face your symptoms. Your suffering is likely a normal and adaptive response to previous experiences in your life. I work with you to transform the underlying blue-​prints that set you up for the challenges you face.

I attune to your emotional experience. Through experiencing being seen as safe, you will internalize a deeper sense of self that feels more secure, grounded, and capable of connecting with others.

I also work with couples using (Emotion Focused Therapy), and people with trauma using (EMDR).
