Gentle and Caring Cat Sitting in Berkeley. I am licensed, insured, and bonded, a member of Professional United Pet Sitters.

Currently serving Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, and North Oakland.

It is very rewarding for me to know I am alleviating the boredom, loneliness, and even stress of a cat when their guardian is away for an extended period of time. I strive to make sure they are well taken care of and enjoy all the comforts of life despite the absence of their guardian.

I also love taking photo portraits of animals, especially cats. I take great care in emphasizing their personalities and what makes them unique. I would love to capture some beautiful portraits of your lovely companion kitty while under my care.

My rate is $ 30 per 30 minute visit.

*There is an additional $ 15 charge for visits on New Years day, Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor day, Thanksgiving day, and Christmas day. The charge is for the holiday date itself, not the surrounding dates.

Please note: I do not offer cat boarding services.

I started this cat sitting business out of a love for cats and the desire to use this passion to help clients have peace of mind while away from their companion kitty.

My name is Daniel, a licensed, insured, and bonded cat sitter servicing the Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, and North Oakland area.

Cats occupy a special place in my heart as well as home. I have two cats, Pixie and Liam, who I both adopted from the Berkeley municipal animal shelter. I also regularly volunteer there, where for over three years now have socialized and comforted cats of all ages and temperaments.

It is very rewarding for me to know I am alleviating the boredom, loneliness, and even stress of a cat when their guardian is away for an extended period of time. I strive to make sure they are well taken care of and enjoy all the comforts of life despite the absence of their guardian.

Daniel was phenomenal when we left our cat home for a long weekend away! He was very attentive to the details of our cat’s needs and made a point of texting wonderful updates while we were gone. Daniel was very professional and we plan to use him for all future cat-​sitting needs!

Daniel went above and beyond to make sure our two cats were healthy, happy, and cared for during a two week vacation we recently took. He made sure to ask thorough questions during our initial cat meet-​and-​greet and get to know our two cats. He even managed to earn the approval of our very skittish cat who usually runs and hides under the bed with strangers!
While we were away, Daniel sent detailed text message updates and pictures of our cats and made us feel very comfortable that they were in capable, trustworthy hands. We look forward to having Daniel care for our cats when we are on vacation later this year and highly recommend his services!

My girlfriend and I have a very timid cat who doesn’t handle change well. We were nervous about having someone check in on her while we were on vacation. Daniel is absolutely wonderful. From the moment I met him, his gentle demeanor shined through and I knew he would be the perfect person to take care of our cats Krispy and Bigsby (aka Mr. Pickles). We already had a family member lined up for cat sitting while we were on vacation, but there were a few gap days we needed someone to fill in after we left. Daniel came over for a visit, asked all of the right questions, and had an immediate connection with our sometimes timid cats.
While on vacation Daniel was very thorough with communication by text, even sending us some silly pictures of our cats. I look forward to going on another vacation and using Daniel again– I would hire him without hesitation! Thanks Daniel!

We’ve hired Daniel twice now and have been extremely pleased both times. Our cat is ancient and has complicated medical needs, including insulin injections, and Daniel handles it all very well. He’s very organized and professional, very careful to ask questions and understand the cat’s routine. His manner is calm and kind, and our cat responds very well to him. I appreciate that he sends check-​in messages during his visits. I recommend him absolutely!

We’ve used Daniel for catsitting multiple times now. He is so conscientious and communicative! With two elderly cats who are both pretty quirky with various meds and fussy routines, Daniel is totally attentive, detailed and caring. He also checks in with us to put our mind at ease when we are gone. He also is willing to do little things like bringing in mail, taking out garbage and watering plants. I can’t recommend him enough and am so happy we found him!

Daniel was great! We where going to be out of town for Christmas holidays for a little over a week and needed someone to come check on our kitty who doesn’t like being left alone. This was our first time hiring a cat sitter and where a little timid but Daniel came over a few days before we left so we could meet him and go over what our cat needed. He was very professional and very friendly. After our meet I felt better about leaving our cat and having someone who actually seemed to care very much about his job. He sent updates and a picture to let me know our cat was doing well. When we came home she seemed to be doing better then if we had left her on her own, more at ease. Daniel is a very nice, trustworthy, calm and kind soul who was recommended to me by my other amazing cat sitter, Emily. I gave short notice and she was already fully booked but Daniel — despite being very busy himself — helped me out. He has all the licensing required and made his passion for cats to his full time job. When he came to my house he was very organized, made notes about everything I showed and told him, and he asked me questions about the cat and house that I did not even think of. I love my cat, Biff, but felt too silly to ask Daniel if he could send me a picture of my cat and some updates while I am gone on vacation for 5 days. I cannot tell you how happy and relieved I was when I heard every day from my Biff via text and even received a cute picture. My Biff is not an easy character but the two got along great.
On day 3 I asked if he could take in the packages and mail as I forgot to tell him and the mailbox is most likely already overflowing. He responded that he has already taken care of it and placed everything in the house. I love it when people think and see for themselves what needs to be done. I am sure if anything else would have been wrong in the house during my absence he would have equally take care of it in a responsible manner.
I felt bad for asking him to make another trip to my house to bring back the keys and suggested another solution (which I will not disclose here of course lol). While I was gone he texted me that he feels not comfortable with the solution and that he would rather hand back the keys to me directly when I am back — the extra trip would be no issue. Of course I liked his much saver suggestion a lot better and thankfully agreed.
Give him a try — you will not regret it!

Daniel has been our cat sitter since May and he’s been nothing short of amazing! This year has been an unusually travel heavy year for my boyfriend and I, so Daniel has been a life saver. Even when we have to travel on short notice he’s always eager to help out! My cats definitely love him because when I come home from a 2 week trip they’re completely unfazed. We’re grateful to have Daniel, as are my cats, and we definitely recommend him as a catsitter!

Daniel has been wonderful on the several occasions that we have had him watch our two kitties. He is super reliable and thorough, always giving us updates on his visits, and sending along beautiful photos to go along with them! He’s been very accommodating of my last-​minute planning, and any changes we have had to make along the way. It’s very clear that Daniel is a cat person – he always brings great toys along to play with them, and gives very clear reports of anything that we may need to know before we return (hairballs, levels of energy, how well they’re eating, etc.).
He also goes above and beyond by making sure that our mail gets taken in and our house is in good working order. He once smelled gas in our home, and he was quick to let us know, and also flexible enough to change his scheduled visit times with the cats so that he could also make sure the gas smell was gone once our landlord addressed it.
I have been a much more relaxed traveler since we found Daniel. We can now rest assured that our cats (and our home) are in good hands, no matter how far away we are!

Daniel is a a super nice guy who takes his responsibilities seriously. He’s cared for my sweet cat on two separate occasions.
The first time he observed some odd behavior from my cat and notified me immediately so that when I came home from my trip later that day I was prepared to deal with a sick cat. It was only his first time caring for her and he knew when something wasn’t right. That’s how knowledgable he is about cat behavior.
The second time he was very flexible and able to extend his visits one more day to accommodate a last minute change to my travel schedule. His daily updates and photos always brought a smile to my face knowing that my dear kitty was being looked after while I wasn’t there. I would recommend Daniel to anyone seeking a cat sitter.

Daniel was fantastic and clearly has a deep love for cats. He takes it very seriously and is truly professional.
Came by before I left to meet the kitties and to go over any special instructions I might have. Took very detailed notes and asked questions that I hadn’t even thought to mention.
Sent me regular updates and photos of the cats playing, phoned me up when there was an issue with the litter box (it’s one of those automated deals that can be finicky), and spent time playing with them.
Highly pleased, will certainly use him again and recommend him to anyone that is needing a sitter.

Daniel is awesome, he seriously came to the rescue by taking care of our cats so that we could take a holiday vacation. We got constant text and photo updates ensuring that our cats were not only safe and well but having a great time. Somehow all the pictures that Daniel sent for an update were better than every picture I have ever taken.

Daniel is such a professional. He is very responsive via e-​mail and text, and is so clearly a cat person. I wish my cats could have some Daniel time every day. It is killing me to move and not be able to take Daniel’s loving nature with me to care for my cats while I’m away. If you are in the East Bay, he is a gem.
