Meet the Business Owner

Helen L.

Business Owner

Helen Liu grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and moved to Berkeley to attend college, where she first fell in love with the Bay Area. For several years, she practiced civil litigation, later specializing in employment law, in San Francisco and San Diego.

When Helen discovered The Bar Method in 2009, she was immediately drawn to the physical transformation the exercise method provides in a safe and targeted manner as well as the mental discipline it requires. As the classes have remained challenging and targeted over time, she leaves each class with a strong sense of accomplishment and serenity. The most rewarding aspect of Helen’s work has been developing strong client relationships and helping them on their paths, inspiring students to identify their fitness goals, both mentally and physically, and encouraging them to achieve more than they ever thought they could.
