Sharespace at Ashby Coworking

I visited all the coworking spaces in Berkeley before choosing Sharespace. It was the best place I looked at by far. It’s a small space filled with desks and you can rent a desk for the day/​week/​month. The desk includes mail service. If you don’t want a desk you can get the mail plan separately.
I go to the coworking space to get work done, and for the occasional chat, and Sharespace is perfect for what I need.

Casual attitude. Not corporate. No Check-​In Administrator lording over the room.

Good guest policy
Free street parking nearby. No zones, no time limit, overnight OK.
Street parking is always available, despite being near BART.

Accepts mail/​package deliveries
Next-​door bodega has a mysteriously good selection, including a back wall full of specialty sodas like Jolt. (Bounty candy bars, Kinder Buenos, and Bawls soda in one place? How is that possible? Never saw that before, much less at a random spot in Berkeley. Did a previous generation of coworking people lobby the bodega?)

AT&T dead zone (go a block east to get reception). I suppose if you’re on a competing network this may be a plus. Google Voice or Skype or VOIP all work.
No private rooms? Wasn’t an issue for me.
