We buy stuff when they have a sale such as the one today with some items going for 50% off. These clothes are well made and durable. I usually give them away to my friend after years of use as they never wear out. Wife got some nice outdoor clothes for hiking, etc.

I wouldn’t call the clothes at Royal Robbins outlet store very fashionable. However, if you’re traveling overseas, I think they’re great. I bought a pair of pants that not only have a lot of cargo pockets, but they also unzip to turn them into shorts. The best part about these pants are that they are 100% synthetic, which means that you can wash them in the sink while traveling and they’ll dry out by the next day, Got them on sale too.
Small store stuffed with travel related clothing and other items. Very small parking lot in front.

This store reminds me of an old lady store. The way the clothes are assembled on the inside is very unappealing.
I went in to find a hoodie for when it gets cold and didn’t see any in a cotton fabric. I tried on two zip sport sweaters and the sizes seemed a bit off.
I ended up not buying anything but asked a few questions to the distracted sales people who didn’t stop their conversation until I interrupted.
The clerk said they would not be getting any fall merchandise till Oct, which is a bit late. To me this means that Royal Robbins is way behind «fashion» schedule.
In a nutshell I probably won’t be coming back because I can probably find a better selection with better service elsewhere.

This place is pretty neat! My boyfriend and I came across is this weekend as we walked to get a bite. Good selection, real quiet inside but we didn’t spend a lot of time inside as we were very hungry but plan to spot by again to see more of the outlet.

The good:
1. Deep discounts (like 50−80% off) on their sidewalk sale items.
2. High-​quality merchandise: their own brand, Overland Equipment, Prana, Eagle Creek, etc.
3. The convenient location
The bad:
1. Women’s sizes end at 16 even though men’s go to a generous XXL.
2. The prices of the non-​sale items are very high. Identical items are available at REI, a few blocks away, for less.
3. Backing out of the parking lot and directly onto Gilman St. is tricky.
The ugly:
1. The two children tearing around the store screaming, while their dad yelled at them from the back office. The older (elementary aged) boy was chasing the little one (maybe 18 mos? barefoot in pyjamas) and whipping him with a tape measure. They didn’t quite run into me but there were a couple near misses. Then for while he was swinging from a garment rack he’d rolled out into the middle of the floor. I know store owners can’t always control patron’s children’s behavior, but these kids clearly belonged to someone who was affiliated with the store. Not my idea of a pleasant shopping environment.

This is an awesome outlet! I’m a big fan of Royal Robbins due to my sis (she had a couple that she gave me) and they’re comfy just like Prana stuff (but probably in the same price range…)
Anyway, I managed to some hiking shorts as well as a skirt all for under $ 50! I was happy to see a bunch of my sizes… but unfortunately the wallet won’t be very happy so I stopped and walked away.
The place is small but the staff are friendly. Parking could be a hassle depending on the time of day.
Lots of travel stuff… awesome place for 100% polyester stuff!

Lots of travel related items and outdoor wear. The store is smallish and has more items for women than men. Its slightly organized there was a pretty good sale going on but i didnt find anything that really stood out. The parking can problematic as they only have about 4 dedicated stalls and its on a busy street.

OK-​70% off for Royal Robbins shorts? Are you serious? $ 10 for a great pair of shorts and they have other colors besides baby poop brown and vomit green?
Good quality outdoor gear without paying full price. Not everything is a great deal, so you need to still keep your eyes on the prices, but the clearance stuff at 50% or 70% are real steals.
Only gripe I had was the totally disinterested and inattentive clerks. Yak yak yak to their friends without nary a «May I help you find something?» Maybe they feel it’s better to leave people alone or not bug them-​but I think they are losing out on some potential sales with such poor customer service. That’s why they lost a star (oh and the lack o’ parking in the area.)

I LOVE THIS PLACE… they have the best clothes there and the staff are very helpful. The manager there rocks. Tina went out her way to get me and my wife the shirt we needed for our trip. They were the best thing we bought in ages.
Royal Robbins is the place to go whenever you need a UPF 40 shirt that will dry quick on any trip.

I love my skort because it has a lumbar zipper compartment to hide my moola. Also, my skort can be handwashed and dried in about 15 – 30 minutes with NO ironing needed. It’s all about wearing durable, high quality clothes that won’t wear, tear, wrinkle while traveling around the planet.
No wardrobe malfunctions when wearing Royal Robbins’ clothes! Looking sharp where ever you may traverse the planet.

This place is quite the find.
I am a little concerned about being enamored of a Royal Robbins outlet, since it would seem to suggest that I have crossed over into middle age. Or that I am a lesbian. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Love the gays.
But this is definitely the place to go for cold-​weather, sensible, outdoorsy clothing. Great deals. Minus a star b/​c they don’t have a huge-​ish selection. But worth a look if:
a) you’re going to intern in Budapest in winter
b) you’re in your 30s
and/​or
c) you’re a woman who is experimenting with same-​sex relationships.

Gayle’s first reaction when she saw one of my Royal Robbins shirts: «What is it with the flaps?» One of her girlfriends immediately explained that I shopped at Royal Robbins!
This is nice looking, outdoor-​friendly and comfortable clothing store that has very nice prices. I’ve been coming here for years. The special «sidewalk» sales are especially noteworthy. Their clothes just fit and feel right.

This is one of my favorite places to shop for «extreme» clothes. You know, the ones with lots of zippers and pockets, and designed for engaging in serious outdoor activities??? This is a treasure trove of specialty engineered fabric goodness! I’ve gotten ultra light weight stuff for sport fishing in the tropics [cover the skin to prevent burns, but dries quick and has lots of pockets] and ski apparel. Be warned, it’s not super cheap, but it’s worth it. If you ever stumble on one of their sidewalk sales you can get great deals.

Rare it is when Natashka divulges shopping secrets. They are like recipes; women sometime like to jealously guard the ingredient that gives us our special sauce. Luckily, I am completely confident that no one can look as good in my new, award-​winning Conduit ski pants as me, Natashka.
The conditions for shopping could not have been worse. I had just gotten into tiff with the man I was supposed to go skiing with, and to spite him I was tempted to wear my ancient pair of puffy blue ski pants. (well, they do have a certain 70’s vintage chic to them.) Once I put on the Conduit «soft shell» though (perfect over bikini), I had what Stefania calls a «Diesel moment;» the moment in which your pants make your ass look even better than usual, which, considering Stefania’s ass, is really an accomplishment. These moments are to be treasured like faberge eggs. So what could I do? The Conduit pants were irresistable.
The moral of this story: find other ways to punish your lovers, but never deny yourself hot ski pants.
