Specialties
As a dynamic and collaborative psychologist for children, adolescents, and adults, I am committed to supporting individuals and families in their journey towards greater understanding, harmony, and healing. I offer an integrative approach that incorporates relational/psychodynamic, family systems, narrative, behavioral, and mindfulness-based modalities. My background and training are diverse, and I pull from various traditions in order to best serve my clients and their particular situation.
Some of the concerns that bring clients to my practice include: depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma, relationship struggles, adoption, life transitions, identity/career questions, and a desire for greater self-insight.
History
Established in 2001.
Settings I have worked in thus far have included: a residential treatment center; community mental health centers for children, adults, and families; an urban early childhood development center; and rural schools. I believe that my exposure to and understanding of different stages of development helps in my work with all of my clients.
I hold a Masters degree from Harvard University from the program in Human Development and Psychology and a Psy.D. from California Institute of Integral Studies in Clinical Psychology. The program at CIIS blended Eastern and Western perspectives and emphasized honoring different worldviews alongside concerns of body, mind, and spirit.
Currently, I see clients of all ages in private practice in Berkeley. I am also the Director of Mental Health at a preschool in Oakland.
