Welcome to the Health and Wellness practice of Rebecca Cates, M.S., Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.). Rebecca is a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner who uses Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine as well as dietary and lifestyle recommendations to help people achieve their best health and live with vitality and balance.
Rebecca’s areas of special interest include helping her patients improve their digestion, lose weight, enjoy better quality sleep and energy, as well as reduce chronic or acute pain and stress. She has also completed advanced post-graduate studies in areas of fertility support and acupuncture facial rejuvenation.
The goal of every treatment is for the patient to leave feeling relaxed and with a greater sense of well-being that carries over into all areas of life.

History
Established in 2002.
With over 15 years of bodywork experience, Rebecca brings an intuitive touch along with a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, to her acupuncture and herbal medicine practice. After her extensive training in Chinese Medicine and subsequent licensing, Rebecca spent four months living and studying in China, deepening her knowledge and respect for this ancient medicine and its ability to heal.

Rebecca Cates graduated from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, where she received her Master of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine & is licensed by the CA Acupuncture Board.
Rebecca started working with people to improve their health & well being in 1993 & earned her Massage Therapy certification from the SF School of Massage. Two years later, she completed her studies at the Shiatsu Institute & Therapy Center & was certified as a Shiatsu Massage Practitioner in 1995. It was during this program when Rebecca first became interested in the principles of Chinese Medicine. Rebecca spent three months studying in China’s Sichuan Province at the teaching hospital of the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
In addition to helping people feel their best, Rebecca also enjoys taking care of herself, her husband, their two kitties & their home. She takes her own advice & eats well, exercises & enjoys laughing, knitting & fireworks!
