McKevitt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Terrible service. Took a Jeep in for an emergency repair and was told they would get it repaired the next day. Didn’t hear anything from them the next morning, so I called and Sam said they couldn’t get to it and would look at it at about 4:30 P.M. and would call me the day after that at 2:30 P.M. to tell me what needs to be done. They need to hire more mechanics. Further, everything about this dealership is sloppy and disorganized. I will never buy another vehicle from them and will never get the one I have serviced there again, even if I have to drive all the way to Richmond or Walnut Creek.
Well, after four days they were able to install a new radiator. Then as I was coming down to pick it up they called at the last minute to advise me that the new radiator leaks. When radiators come from the manufacturer they are pressure tested. This means that they must have damaged the radiator when they installed it. When I asked Sam, when they would replace the new that they just installed, he said that they couldn’t get a new radiator in until Tuesday, another four days later (I guess they haven’t figured out that there is such a think as next day delivery via UPS, FEDEX or even the postal service. So I am still without a radiator because of the incompetence of this dealership. They are are new Jeep dealership, as they used to sell Volvo’s. I have now been without my relatively new jeep that purchased from them for 6 days over something as simple as a radiator leak.

I recently bought a Jeep Cherokee from these guys and I thought they weer great. Very open, transparent and down to earth. I dealt with both Giovanny and Omar and found them easy to chat through the options I wanted. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to these guys.

These guys are the best! They worked out the lowest deal anywhere in the Bay Area, trust me I negotiated with all of them. Giovanni was honest and upfront about the lowest price they could go. They didn’t have the exact vehicle and color we wanted so they even went and got it from another dealership for us. Omar our finance guy was super friendly and honest about warranty options and payment plans. He was also quick and to the point which was appreciated. If you want friendly service and the best prices go here, they won’t let you down.

Not only did my oil change take them 24hours but they quoted me $ 525 to replace a nut on my bumper. They also tried to charge me $ 500 for a «20k mile service» which includes tire rotation, oil change, fuel additive and cabin air filter.
I was able to replace the nut MY SELF in about 2 minutes. The oil change and tire rotation are under warranty, so essentially they tried to get me to pay them $ 500 for a $ 20 air filter and $ 7 fuel additive.
Scum bags.

Specific to the McKevitt service department: Over the past year I scheduled two service appointments for my 2010 Jeep Wrangler and provided the service advisor with the paperwork verifying our pre-​paid service agreement and our model’s maintenance schedule, which we were given when we bought the Jeep in 2010 at the Carson City, NV dealership. Each time after the appointment I was given an invoice to pay and each time I referred the service advisor to our service agreement. On one occasion I asked for an additional check in reference to an engine light that came on, the service advisor said that they would perform the check only to be told when I picked up the car that I owed $ 150, a fee that had not been explained to me when I asked for the check. After stressing this, he was only willing to knock off 50% of the fee saying that when we return for the next service to correct a «misfiring spark plug» that he would only charge 50% of the fee to fix. A few weeks later the Jeep would not start due to a dead battery. Battery was replaced at another service vendor and the engine light has not come back on. The Jeep was due for its scheduled service again, but not wanting to explain the pre-​service agreement and prescribed schedule again to McKevitt service staff, I returned to the Walnut Creek Jeep service department only to be told that McKevitt service had not followed the service schedule. (I had all my past invoices from McKevitt and the codes did not coincide with the pre-​paid service agreement maintenance schedule codes. Additionally, the prescribed schedule wasn’t followed.) We really wanted to give our business to McKevitt Jeep as it is closer to where we live, but we have lost all confidence and trust in this department. We’ve had the best service at Walnut Creek Jeep since returning to the Bay Area. Best wishes and we hope McKevitt fixes this problem for future customers who pay the additional money for pre-​paid service agreements when they purchase their new Jeep vehicles.

I’ve given McKevitts more than one shot to make things better with this car but it has been nothing but fighting to get what I paid for.
Bought my Jeep Compass 2014 brand new (with 300 miles on it) back in November 2014. Besides being lied to about the quality and type of sunroof that I had installed (I was told it was a factory installer but it was really an aftermarket installer NOT authorized by Jeep) I still have a horrible sun roof in my vehicle that no one wants to take responsibility for…
NOW… I have had to bring my car in numerous times for the brakes that make a sound that wakes up my neighbors. After SHAVING my brake rotors and basically SHAVING life off of my brake rotors the problem persisted. NOW I am being told it is the way I drive? or no lets put a sound bar to solve it? or no let shave them again? Anything to get me to drive another 2k miles so that my warranty is void.
Each visit to McKevitt’s I have had to fight with them tooth and nail just to get a courtesy vehicle which they tried to make me pay for! This time they only «extended» the vehicle because they left me high and dry a day without one and I had no way to get home and pick up my child!
The only way I am able to get them to do what they are SUPPOSED to do and what I PAID for when buying a new vehicle is to call the actual Jeep Customer Service and have them escalate it on their side.
Sure so now you’re thinking «go to another dealership». NO if they are going to carry the name Jeep then they are RESPONSIBLE to live to the Jeep standard! I will not go out of MY way so that THEY can continue to provide horrible customer service and workmanship.
The only person who has been remotely helpful is Ray in the Service department, he at least TRIES! Brian has lied about services being provided and work being executed. The sales team has lied about sales information. Jim has proved to be completely disinterested in customer satisfaction and all around McKevitts made my experience a complete nightmare.
I usually don’t play the single parent card but I am and I do not have the time to deal with their drama surrounding them not doing their jobs. They have not allowed me. even though I have paid for a new vehicle… the piece of mind that I am driving my child in a safe vehicle. NO ONE has responded to my question of if my vehicles structure integrity had been compromised buy a non authorized installation of the sunroof.

My husband and I bought a car with the great help, insight and knowledge of Tony and Frank. Tony was the only sales associate that reached out to me personally and answered my questions in a prompt and courteous manner; Frank is a wealth of information and both are incredibly kind. The experience was worth more than 5 stars. I highly recommend reaching out to this dynamic duo if you are in the market for a new car…

Had a great experience buying a car from Frank and Tony. The car I wanted wasn’t available anywhere, so Tony custom ordered one for me. They gave me a fair price and were very easy going and personable through the process. Frank was even nice enough to give me a stick shift lesson when my car came in.

I ordered a new JK Rubicon from Tony. He told me it would take about six weeks for it to be built and delivered. Tony kept me informed of the process as I impatiently bugged him on a regular basis. Six weeks later, I had the Jeep exactly as I ordered it.
When it came time to work out the finances, they were more than fair on my trade-​in. Karen in the Finance Department managed to find a credit union that was able to beat the rate that my credit union was offering.
When I drove away with my new Jeep, it had been washed, detailed and full of gas. This was my first new vehicle and this dealership made the entire experience a very positive one.

There was an accident on the lot with the vehicle I purchased and they could have not told me, but they were honest about it.
Bought the car late in the day and didn’t have time to detail, so they let me bring it back 2 weeks later to get it fully detailed.

I purchased a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel from Tony Lagalo and Jim Contzen and absolutely recommend purchasing a vehicle from these guys. They are honest, reputable and give amazing deals. They customer service and satisfaction is on par with luxury brands I have purchased from in the past. As formerly in the car business myself, I found these guys to be honest and reputable. The dealer and these guys went out of their way to make a deal work that another Jeep dealer wanted nothing to do with (due to owing a lot on my trade in). Give these guys a chance and you will not be disappointed!

This is a new dealership located in the old Volvo location. This place it’s getting a remodel done, but has a really wonderful family atmosphere and and everyone makes you feel like you’re part of it. I trade in my STi and got a Wtangle Rubicon Unlimited X. Got a great deal and my salespersons Giovanni and Brian are both new to this product line, but very well versed and got me the great deal I needed. I’ve already referred three other people to Giovanna and Brian. No pressure and fair deals. Thank you both very much.
