I have known Matthias for years through other realms but never worked with him as a photographer until more recently. My wife and I chose Matthias as our wedding photographer and couldn’t be more pleased with our choice. Matthias is professional, calm, incredibly friendly and curious and he handled both the intimate couple’s shots and the large family photos with skill and grace. Something about him just puts you at ease, and at the same time he was able to really take charge of the group photos in a way that everyone paid attention while also having fun. No easy feat!!!
Since then I have hired Matthias to take cherished photos of my wife and I during our last month of pregnancy and he has also done professional photos for me in my business and every time I have been very pleased with the process and the results.
For the pregnancy photos he seemed like the perfect person to my wife and I to record this precious time in our lives. It is a testament to his sensitivity that we both were able to relax with each other and share such an intimate experience with him. There is a curiosity and care in the way he looks at the world that helped us to feel safe and open up under his gaze. Working with him has given me a greater appreciation for the transformative power of photography.
His rates are reasonable and he has always been timely and thorough in his post-​production process. I can recommend him without hesitation.

I met Matthias a while ago through a training in a different field and immediately liked him. After two of my friend hired him to shoot their wedding and I saw their pictures I naturally turned to him when I needed new photos. We did a professional photo shoot for our website that included my wife and I. I was surprised how easy and fun it was to do the shoot. Matthias helped us relax and get into the mood. He gave lots of suggestions of how to pose and structure the photos and we ended up with lots of pictures to choose from. Most important the results were AMAZING. I will definitely use him again if I need to.
Bottom line, I highly recommend Matthias. He is very experienced as an artist and photographer and brings much more wisdom and life experience than your regular photographer. He is also a lovely person to work and interact with.

He was professional, friendly, flexible when working with our needs and stress levels, relaxed, focused, and very knowledgable (he could literally teach a class on the subject), without ever talking down to you. After the success of the big day, he was quick and professional in working with us to access our pictures and print them. The pictures turned out fantastic! And his rates were very reasonable. Hiring a photographer like Matthias was a relief, and we are grateful. Can’t recommend him enough!
