Light Hands Healing

After hearing for a while about the Access Consciousness BARS technique I finally decided to have a personal session and discovered Marissa Evans in Berkeley. I’d heard good things about BARS from others but I must say, Marissa’s sensitive compassion exceeded expectations. She has a welcoming presence and that alone goes a very long way when working with someone new to a particular modality. If you’re new to Access Consciousness and the BARS technique, and you live in the Bay Area, Marissa is great person to work with. One of the fundamental elements of an excellent facilitator in the holistic healing space is having the presence of being genuine and lack of judgement. Marissa has that in abundance and its impact goes a long way. Best of all, Light Hands Healing has a working rate range for their BARS sessions, to make it available to more people in the Bay Area. How can it get any better than that?

The tremendous growth Nikira and Marissa have helped initiate in my life has been a true blessing. I’ve had the opportunity to see them a couple of times since my last review and feel strongly that Marissa and Nikira truly have a special gift. They have both helped me not only learn more about myself but to live a more confident and purposeful life.

I feel so grateful and relieved that I found Nikira & Marissa. In the four times that I have been on their table, I have healed and changed literally hundreds of old beliefs that no longer serve me. I have received hundreds of new understandings and feelings that have allowed me to heal from old trauma, deep grief and anger that has been held in my body from this lifetime, from the time I was in my mother’s womb and even before that (please allow me to get totally esoteric!). This is active healing that is allowing me to increase my intuitive abilities as well. I’d love to emphasize that I didn’t know whether it would really change my life the first time I visited Nikira & Marissa– I wasn’t sure I believed that Theta Healing & Access Bars could heal and transform beliefs and experiences instantly that years of therapy and personal work can take (although this is important and useful as well!) — BUT IT HAS. I can truly say that since that very first session, I have seen permanent shifts and changes in my life and I came to them with a diagnosis of breast cancer and a whole bunch of fear, grief and anger. I have not felt that deep fear since that session. Oh! and their sweetness and purity of intention and their ability to provide me safety and space to heal my deep shadowy side. And their integrity and genuine desire to witness my healing. Marissa has the most beautiful singing voice and sometimes she uses her voice to heal me. And Nikira’s intuitive abilities allow for the most creative imaginative healings– such as a string unraveling around my liver and releasing itself out my mouth in the form of a yell of anger. I leave feeling light and joyous and connected and clear and again, I am so happy I found them.

My experience receiving a combined Theta Healing /​Access Bars session from Marissa & Nikira was unique and deep. I left their office with a lightness, and felt as if something that I had been carrying was missing from my body. Their connection to Spirit was clear and Nikira’s thoughtful dedication to choosing just the right words and muscle testing accurately made me feel at ease. I immediately entered into a hypnotic trance state as soon as we began, and felt guided by the energy that was present to open up in ways that I was surprised by. When some particularly unpleasant past memories arose for me, I felt held in a safe space that was completely nonjudgmental and brimming with love.
Perhaps most poignant to mention is that within moments after the session I felt happier and more connected to my partner and my family, and within days I significantly changed a pattern of relating and was able to open to receiving more love from my husband, a love that was already there but that I had not been fully open to feeling. This small shift was nonetheless profoundly significant, and for it I am most grateful.
This being said, ONE SESSION CAN TRULY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
It is not every day that two people come together and are able to share their gifts of healing in duet form in this way. I am grateful that I had both of these women holding sacred space for me during this session — I believe that it was more potent than a session with just one healer would have been. Thank you to this sweet couple for creating space for me to explore the deep inner workings of my psyche and bring some things out of the shadows of my mind and into the light, for transformation and growth. I hope that many people are healed and transformed by this pair of women and their powerful shared presence and gift of deep listening.

Nikira and Marissa each bring such love, dedication, and aptitude for healing to their practice. They bring a combined presence and careful attention to their work, and have a lot of patience in answering any questions one may have about their specific working modalities– Theta Healing and Access Bars– which were both new to me. I didn’t know what it would be like to go into an induced theta-​state in this manner, but the Light Hands practitioners guided me there. During my one-​hour session, I felt that we covered a lot of subliminal and cognitive ground in a lucid, associative way, delving into my hidden beliefs and ideologies pertaining to the world and to myself, and helping me clear away those lingering thoughts that no longer serve my personal growth process. Coming away from this session, I felt distinctly more conscious of and attuned to my own needs and desires, and more readily able to go after the things that I want in life in a good way. I was told to rest after my session but went and did errands instead, but when I’d finally had a good night’s sleep– Wow! I began moving through a number of backed-​up questions and lingering uncertainties in my life with such relative ease and grace. Weeks later, I feel as though I have a more realistic, and intrinsically altered relationship to my personal goals and to my shadow-​side. It is easier to resist fearful thoughts, and to move forward with discovering and manifesting my own agenda for my own life in an effective and compassionate way, in all my relations. I definitely recommend a visit to Light Hands.
