Very happy with the subwoofer installation that Juan did in my mini Cooper. He is very professional and knows what he’s doing. The subwoofer sounds great and was very cost effective. I highly recommend abs and will use j&j again.

I am very particular with who I trust my prized restomod car with. When it was time for a transparent bra I decided to go with J&J. Juan performed an outstanding instal of his transparent clear bra on my car. He really takes his time to insure the job is done right the first time. His shop is clean and welcoming. I have known Juan for a few years now and he is the only one that i trust to work on the audio or to install any aftermarket parts or window tint in my vehicles. He is the most strait forward and honest person i have dealt with in this industry. Not only do i only use him but i also only recommend my friends/​family and customers (i work at a dealership) to him. Besides the fact that he does great work, he also goes the extra mile like picking up/​dropping off cars at my work/​home or making recommendations that will actually save me money. He is the kinda guy who wants to make a customer for life, not rip someone off once. Im very thankful that i found someone that i can trust in a line of business that can be pretty cut throat.

Originally, my mechanic recommended another auto stereo installation company. That meeting was a disaster. The owner of the company insisted I needed a new radio/​blue tooth system without even listening to it, when in fact, my left speaker was blown! I finally took the guy outside to listen to music on my system for him to realize I needed new speakers rather than a new radio system. I’m female… what do I know?! He made the comment ‘You are a smart lady…’ Maybe, but mostly I have ears and could hear what the problem was.
On to Juan! (Thank goodness for Unilocal!) He is a stand-​up guy and does beautiful work! His place is immaculate! I had the speakers installed as a surprise birthday gift for my husband while he was out of town. Juan picked me up and dropped me off for my appointment both ways! I plan to encourage my mechanic to start making referrals to Juan… All of their clients will appreciate being referred to Juan. I’m sure of it!

Juan is a really great human. He’s honest and reliable. I feel like he’s sharing good hard work with his community and that matters to me! Definitely coming back :)

Juan did a great job. He is very nice and put a new radio on my car in one hour. It is a much better solution than the car dealer offered.

After reading various Unilocal reviews, I decided to take my car here to have an alarm installed– I am so glad I did. I called Juan a few times and every time I did, he was super friendly. What amazed me was the second time I called, he remembered the make of my car simply by telling him my name. Upon meeting Juan it was as if we were old friends. I left my car there and upon picking it up, juan throughly explained all the features and demonstrated them as well. Will definitely come back here.

Juan installed a stereo in my 2007 Highlander. He was very professional and did a great job. The price was good and it took as long as he said. I was very happy with the service and am planning to go back for additional work.

I scoured Unilocal before I decided to call Juan. After describing some issues with my car, he gave me a reasonable quote– replacing the radio and an interior detail on a car that has never been cleaned on the inside! He worked around my crazy work schedule to book me for a Saturday morning. It was a little bit difficult to find his place, but that’s the only draw back. Juan is a really friendly and mellow guy. .done. When I got my car back, it looked like I had just driven it off of the lot. I’m SHOCKED that he was able to get all the gross melted chocolate/​honey/​dirt/​sand/​who knows what else out of my seats.
Seriously though. This guy is a genuinely nice guy. He’s not a … stereotypical «car guy». I don’t know how else to describe him. He’s a person who thoroughly enjoys his work and takes pride in it. (Check out his trophies!) You can trust him. I’ll be sure to go here for any other car needs that he can fix. A new loyal customer!

Juan helped me with a very modest job, adding Bluetooth capability to an older car, in contrast to some of the elaborate custom work of which he’s capable. I was delighted with the speed, courtesy, and results. He met his estimates of time and cost precisely and I’m thrilled with how the work came out. The pride and care he takes even in his most elementary projects is evident and I will certainly recommend him to others. As a sign of what a good guy he is, my phone was about to die when I dropped off my car, so he loaned me an external battery pack to charge up while I went for coffee nearby. This place is a gem!

I just had my rear and front car speakers installed by Juan today. I would definitely recommend him to a friend. He was even able to accommodate me with a last minute appointment. I called everyone in the area and he had the lowest prices and the best reviews. Juan clearly knows what he’s talking about and is passionate about what he does. It was done quickly and he gave me a very accurate time estimate. Also, my speakers sound great. Overall, great experience.

He made my car iPod compatible with a simple device installed in the glove compartment. He walked me through how to use it and it has worked like a charm for over a year now. Service was fast and friendly, and he even gave my son a fancy brand-​new toy car as a parting gift.

Had my Bluetooth installed and worked like a charm. Not only did Juan bust it out in less than a few minutes, he explained how it was done. Dude is amazing! And his invisible bra projects are amazing to take a look at definitely feel free to ask him about it.

Juan was great — I made an appt for 9:30 on a Tuesday and when I called at 9:24 asking to move to 10:00, he was accommodating and took me at 10 and got to work right away.
He was quick, friendly, answered all my questions, and even took some leather conditioner to my steering wheel and center console which were in pretty bad shape. What a pleasant surprise!

Having a car you love is kinda like having a baby: they need pampering, the occasional car doctor, and sometimes they are colicky with extremely sensitive car alarms that go off when doors slam nearby or a butterfly comes too close to your precious vintage paint… I found the alarm issue rather endearing (as it would only beep once or twice as a warning when butterflies needed to be warned), but my neighbors did not. My neighbors clearly have no sense of humor.
Juan was absolutely incredible in taking care of my alarm issue: got me in quickly, the job was very reasonably priced and he even took the time to make sure the rest of the car is doing well after I realized in the middle of the operation that one of my tires was low! He filled all my tires to specification and took the time to listen to my car audio needs with super helpful advice so that I can plan my next upgrade. Despite strolling in right before he was headed to lunch, I never felt rushed: Impeccable customer service @ JG Audio & Alarm!
We had a bit of time to chat, and I can confidently say that he is absolutely passionate about cars and car alarm & sound systems to the point where it is clearly an art form for him! Which is exactly what you need in a professional. His shop is lined with proudly earned trophies from car audio competitions. This is clearly not just a way to make money for him, but a passion he is not afraid to follow. And why not? Car audio is a big deal, after all, some of us spend a lot of time in our cars, listening to music that makes us feel happy and whole, so it makes perfect sense to be surrounded by impeccable sound! I am looking forward to upgrading my stereo/​car camera system soon, my musician roommate is now super stoked by upgrading his new touring van’s sound system, and clearly Juan is the man for the job!

Moving up from Los Angeles recently, I was definitely worried about being able to find a shop, that I could not only put my trust in, but a shop that would value me as a customer. Needing a whole speaker, sub woofer, and amplifier installation, plus an HiD headlight/​fog light installation, I set out to find a shop that would give me not only the best price, but the best customer service and quantity of work. I called a number of shops around the east bay area, and was amazed what some shops were charging for installs, and how disorganized and not knowledgeable they were about what I wanted to get done and what I needed for my car. Feeling discouraged that I would never find a shop, I decided to keep some optimism and give JG Audio a call, after reading all their great reviews. I must say WOW!, I am so happy that I called, because my search was over, and my worries were put to rest.

The phone was answered by a man named Juan, who I now know is the shop owner, he was happy to take my call, asked me what I was looking to do, and after telling him, he off the top of his head told me exactly what I would need, and how much it would cost me. Without any bargaining or negotiating, Juan gave me the best price I had gotten throughout all my calls. After agreeing to come in, he set up an appointment time with me over the phone, and made sure he locked in enough time to work on my car, I mind you something very little shops do, always giving empty promises.
I arrived the morning of my install, and was greeted by Juan right at the time he said my appointment would be at, and proceeded to tell me everything he was going to do and how much time he would need. I must say after even these initial few minutes I felt at home, and felt relaxed, as if Juan was going to treat my car just like one of his own. After heading back to the shop from grabbing a bite, I got the chance to see Juan finish the work on my car, and again I was so happy with the decision I made. I have seen many audio and electrical installs done, and not one of them has come close to the quality and attention to detail Juan works with. All the wiring, soldering, and installation of parts was done with organization and precision.
After the install, Juan took the time to check over everything he did, check to see if it was running to his qaulity standards, and make sure I was informed of how everything worked. He even took the time to ask me if I was in school, how it was going, and my over well being, which I really appreciated. After all this he sent me off with confidence, letting me know that if I had any problems I could come back so he could check them out.

A few weeks passed, and I was having some trouble with the HID kits that were installed, gave Juan a call, and he told me to come by, and we figured out that the parts were defective. I came back to see Juan again, and he was smiling like always ready to dismount all the parts and replace them. However, this same problem occurred again a week later, but Juan did not leave me on my own and did not let me lose confidence, he spent time he needed to use for other cars to diagnose the problem, and after he went through everything, he figured out that there infarct was an issue with now a single part that I had brought in, which he assured me that I would not have to bring in on my own and would order it for me himself. I tell you no other shop owner I have ever worked with has had so much patience and determination to make sure his customer was happy and had no concerns.
I really have to say I am so happy I found this shop. Juan is an outstanding business owner and human being overall. Its not only me he made feel like family, but he treats every single person who comes into his shop this way, he treats all his customers with the utmost respect and gratefulness for their business, and really sets the gold standard for customer service. Its really a rarity to find a place like this, with a person who cares so much about his customers and quality of work. I would not think even a second, in recommending JG Audio to anyone I personally know, this shop and its owner are truly as I said before the gold standard, no one can compete.

We have dealt with Juan Gonzales here and can tell you that he completely lacks customer service. When we brought to his attention a problem with his service, he became totally combative and refused to even address the issue. We recommend you avoid him at all costs.

Juan is probably the nicest person I’ve met so far, and he has a really amazing shop! I needed a car audio system that can play songs from my phone and Juan did a great job and also teach me how to use it step by step.
I love the experience I had with Juan’s work so I also make an appointment for car detailing and I am thankful to Juan for driving me to work after I drop the car off. Now I am proud to say Juan has turn my old and beat up car into a brand new car! Hes so passionate for what hes doing and I really learned a lot from him. I highly recommend this place!
