I had a circuit blow out in the house’s electrical panel… Carlos came out right away and fixed it. I cannot thank him enough, as I had no power at the back of the house.

Called back quickly with offer of help, and was nice when we had already fixed the issue.

Carlos arrived exactly on time. He asked intelligent questions, quickly diagnosed the electrical problem, and patiently explained it to me. He made the repairs quickly. I will definitely call him the next time I need electrical help.

I needed an electrician and when I called and spoke with Carlos, he understood exactly what I wanted and gave me a very reasonable quote and an appointment was made. Two days later, exactly as scheduled Service Techs Damien and Jessie arrived and worked respectfully of my property. The task was completed so professionally that I had them do an additional task. They cleaned the area of work and I couldn’t be more pleased. If I need any additional work, I will not hesitate to call them !!!

I rarely write reviews, but I just called this company because I blew some fuse in my new apartment. It’s Saturday morning and I got a call back within 15 minutes. The guy talked to me for 10 minutes and helped walk me through fixing the problem myself. He said I should give it a shot before paying him to come out. He was so nice and understanding. I managed to fix the issue on my own, but if I ever need an electrician in the future I’m calling Guerreros!

These guys deserve the five star overall rating they have. Very impressed with their responsiveness and friendliness. I had an outlet installed on our patio and these guys got the job done quickly and for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Are you even an electrician?!
Claims he can run new cable add new outlets. When I tell him it is an Ethernet cable /​outlet I need he tells me he can’t do the job. This job consists of nothing different from an running ordinary electrical cables except that they don’t have to connect to anything, there is just one outlet to another outlet. If he would put the holes in the wall I could have run the cable and installed two outlets. Pathetic.

Great team! Arrived on time, and quickly set up work area, covering the floor and furniture. Discussed work with Carlos and he made several helpful suggestions.

We used Carlos for our kitchen remodel. His service and expertise were invaluable. He helped us get through the inspection process without any hitches and seemed to know more than our general contractor. I would recommend him without reservation.

We used Carlos & his team to outfit our house for a hot tub as well as replace some old knob & tube wiring (1920s house). They did the job very well– all up to PG&E code/​requirements, were always responsive, good attitude, reasonably priced– you name it. Carlos came the day (s) of inspection which was great & has since come over to troubleshot another issue. We had a great overall experience with them & would recommend them to others.

Carlos and his team updated the entire 1920s-​era electrical system in our Albany house within the time frame and budget promised. They did excellent work, were always courteous, and were easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend them!

Service call Saturday after Thanksgiving. $ 150 but not fixed.
A fuse blew and the GFCI circuit that controlled the refrigerator would not hold, starting on Thanksgiving (Thursday). It was difficult to find someone to come out, and several wanted to try to talk me through the problem. Carlos met me on Saturday, after I agreed to pay him $ 200 for his service call. He and an associate looked at the fuse box, and the GFCI circuit. He told me to ignore the fuse since it did not seem to be controlling anything, and suggested that I reset the GFCI circuit, which I did (again). It seemed to hold while he was here for 25 minutes, so I chalked it up to user error once again, and he left.
However, the GFCI failed again. I called Carlos on Sunday, and he suggested that I re-​wire the GFCI. I looked at it, but was not comfortable with the repair, and was not willing to spend more of my time and effort to recontact Carlos. I hired another electrician who quickly told me that refrigerators are not supposed to be on GFCI circuits and re-​wired it for me ($ 110).
Total cost to re-​wire GFCI circuit: $ 260. Not good. I was disappointed that Carlos did not know that the refrigerator should not be on a GFCI and then did not offer to come out and fix it.
Two stars as he only charged me $ 150 vs. $ 200 (or $ 180, as I was eligible for a 10% discount by using Unilocal).

Repeating previous review:
Raul came out less than an hour after I called, told me the price-​ranges up-​front, then identified the problem (previous owners’/renters’ «Mickey Mouse» wiring) and fixed it within the first visit. He kept me in the loop on what he was doing and what was wrong, and gave advice on other issues in the house he wasn’t even going to be working on.

Carlos and his team did exceptional work redoing our wiring in our kitchen and installing new lights and outlets. He also cleaned up our electric box that wasn’t wired properly and labeled all of the switches without us even having to ask. He was very flexible with working with our schedule and went above and beyond to help us out.

I needed substantial re-​wiring and needed it fast. I contacted several local electricians. Carlos was the most responsive, the most thorough in investigating the scope of the project, and the most helpful in explaining things. He was clear and never condescending; he was reassuring instead of alarmist. Carlos hired extra help to meet my challenging schedule. He and his crew showed up on time, got the work done on time, and were meticulous in keeping things cleaned up. He was a pleasure to work with and I was entirely satisfied. I will call on Guerreros Electric for any future electrical needs.

Absolutely the best. Carlos is the rare fix it guy who is a true professional. He has done 4 or 5 different jobs for me from a simple breaker problem, to re-​wiring a whole addition to my house. Everything is always done perfectly and on time. Plus he’s a really nice guy.
He is always a little more expensive than everyone else but I think he can afford to charge more because he is so good at what he does.

Forrest Gump would say that Unilocal is like a box of chocolates. You sometimes have to swallow something icky before you find the really delicious one. That was my experience with a DIFFERENT Unilocal electrician before I found Guerreros Electric.
If only every small service business were like Guerreros Electric! We decided to replace the ugly 50+ year old chandeliers in our living room and dining room with more modern fixtures, so on Saturday we picked a couple up at IKEA, thinking I could install them myself. When I got home and saw how complex the installation would be, I first called one of the OTHER local electricians on Unilocal (NOT Guerreros). This OTHER guy (not Guerreros) came out to look at the job and immediately started making excuses: «I don’t know what my days are like this week — I can’t do it before next week — I’d have to take the fixture home with me and figure it out and then come back next week and put it in — I’ll call you back tonight (he didn’t) and let you know when I can come…»
Very disappointed, I phoned Guerreros Electric, who restored my faith in humanity. Carlos asked all the right questions, gave me a quote over the phone (which was lower than the first guy’s, even though the first guy had seen the job), and set up a convenient appointment for today, Monday. Carlos did the job quickly (in and out in two hours) and efficiently. I could tell it was a little more than he expected to have to do, but he refused to take more money than his original quote («It’s not your fault IKEA uses European mounting sizes instead of the standard American ones,» he said. «This always happens with IKEA.») Carlos was courteous, professional, efficient, and tidy (An electrician who cleans up after himself — what a concept!), and I would happily bring him back for any electrical work we need.

If I could give Carlos 50 stars I would. He talked me through a potential freak out when I accidentally messed up something when removing a light fixture. He was calm and sweet on the phone and guided me through finding the right breaker and magically fixing it all. Apparently we had two breaker boxes. His calm demeanor was just what I needed. No more DIY electrics for me at least. And nice to know who to call when I need an electrician.

Carlos and his crew were fantastic. We had some electrical work that needed updating for safety reasons. He provided us a detailed estimate with itemized (and reasonable) prices for his services. He completed the work on time and in a clean and professional manner.
We didn’t want a full overhaul of our electrical system, as we were planning a remodel. Carlos was great in only suggesting upgrades that were necessary for quality of life and safety reasons.
If you’re looking for an electrician, definitely give Guerreros Electric a call. Absolutely would recommend.
