I love this place! They have prices that you can’t beat and are excellent at what they do. I called them for an air duct and attic cleaning. They had the best estimate that I had received. They were not late like most places and answered all my questions. These people are knowledgeable at what they do. They go above and beyond for you. I really appreciated the service that we got.

I recently was in need of air duct cleaning. After looking through a few companies, I came across a lovely lady name Katty at Fresh Environment. Katty was so delightful and pleasant that I just had to try them out. I was so impressed!
When the team showed up to my home, they were great. They were very nice, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. They did a great job on my air duct cleaning!
I would definably recommend Fresh Environment to my friends and family for air duct cleaning. I definitely will be using them in the future. They were outstanding and a great deal as well!!! 5 STARS!

WARNING! Fresh Environment cleaned our dryer vent on 2÷9÷12. This review is being written on ¾/​12 almost a month later. After they cleaned our vent our dryer took 3 hours to dry what the day before would have taken 30 min. The dryer displayed a warning which read «vent is obstructed discontinue use». Fresh Environment returned and looked at the machine and said they thought it was the dryer not the vent. LG service came out and ran diagnostics and said the vent was blocked. Sam from Fresh Environment came and refused to move the dryer even though his people did so on the 9^th of Feb. He said if we would move the dryer he would return in a couple of hours to clean the vent. That was 3 days ago. They have not responded to multiple calls and emails. We havent been able to use our dryer since Fresh Environment entered our home. We’re getting some one else in.

Despite all the negative reviews, we picked them over the other guy, first comparing complaint filed with BBB, none vs few for the other one. Secondly, fairly good price ($ 99).
Two guys came to clean our air ducts, wearing boots
1. called 30min ahead, On time arrival.
2. David was the main tech, he is a funny nice guy who was not pushy at all. He told us should get a filter and brought one in to show us. Its quite expensive but i don’t feel any pressure that i have to buy from him to get a good service.
3. When we mentioned that the other guy didn’t go far enough, David gave a second try which went all the way to clean. He also helped us find a way to clean the in-​take.
4. the dry vent was also included in the service, but that was fairly brief.
The only minor complaint i have is that i did noticed a long chipping of wood underneath one of the vent opening. They probably accidental break it off during cleaning and i didn’t realized it afterward.

We hired Fresh Environment for a $ 99 special to do a basic cleaning of our air ducts. Mae on the phone seemed professional and knowledgeable about the services provided.
When Ely and his team arrived, they were courteous and professional from the start. Ely explained everything to me so I understood what he was doing and why. Both Ely and his assistant were friendly and playful with my kids, which was helpful in managing having the service done in the afternoon with two kids at home. I felt the Ely was honest and straight up with me, and I took his advice on how to keep my air ducts cleaner by upgrading to having them do a deep cleaning of my heating unit as well as a disinfecting treatment of each duct. They were able to do all these services in this same visit.
When they were completing the service, a lot of dust got into the house, but they did a great job of cleaning it all up. I think I am breathing better already!
Thanks to Ely and Fresh Environment for making my home safer and fresher! I will call you again for my annual service.

I was contacted by the Marketing Manager about my review and told that they have since spoken to the employees about their aggressive behavior. I think it’s great that they want to offer exceptional customer service, but in my case there is really nothing to do — I’ve added one star for the effort.

I guess with any «service» provider… the customer experience is based on the person that is sent to do the work. I purchased a Duct cleaning service for this company through Living Social. They showed up on time and delivered the service as contracted.
I had also planned to have my Dryer vent cleaned, but unfortunately they did not have the right tool with them at the time. The guy they sent back did not know how to do the job and left without finishing the service. A quick call back to the Office and I was immediately able to reschedule for a new visit. Unfortunately, it also felt like he was trying to scamming me a bit. Eric and Carlos came back within a day and handled the job in a flash.
The price is right and the service is good. And they stand behind their work. I’d do business with them again.

They called us the day of the visit to confirm our appointment and then let me know that they were running ahead of schedule (by 2 hours) and asked if we wanted to take the earlier time slot, which worked out perfectly. The driver (Sam?) gave us a call when he was 15 minutes out and again when he arrived.
Once we walked him into the apartment, we showed him what areas needed the cleaning the most, and he mentioned that some of the spots looked like they needed a deep cleaning as opposed to the steam cleaning that our coupon was good for. We realized that the carpets had not seen any love for 20+ years, so that wasn’t surprising, but given our schedule/​budget we asked him to go ahead with the regular steam cleaning.
He took some extra time on the heavy spots (at his discretion) and was able to lift out most of the grime, it was amazing and beautiful! Our carpets looked so much better, and MUCH better results than we expected. It was a bit scary to see the clean water being poured into the vacuum and the back water coming out of it, you don’t realize how dirty your carpets can get until something like this happens. From now on, we plan to have the carpets touched up every year or so.

Posting a follow up review. Added another star and maybe a half more because I got persistent calls from the company asking what my concerns were and how they can resolve it. They even sent me an email after five attempts to get in touch with me via phone. Awesome customer service and assured they would come out and fix things and retrain or have a «talk» with the person in charge.

So after my review was posted, Sam from Fresh Environment contacted me. He returned to my place to re-​clean the carpet (plus 1 star), cleaned the vent that was not touched (plus 1 star), and ordered an electrostatic filter for our furnace (which I am still waiting for. We currently have no filter on our furnace). In addition, he sent me a refund of $ 100 (plus 1 star). Sam apologized to my husband and I repeatedly for the mistakes of his employee, which he told me was still in training. Sam was very courteous. I would rehire Sam from Fresh Environment to re-​clean the air ducts.

Well after my review, Sam (the boss) called me the following day and asked what was the issue and how he could remedy the situation.
I told him exactly what went down and he come out that day to take a look.
All in all, one week later (because i was out of town), he came up fixed the problem that was caused by one of their employees.

They’re ok… but they’re not bad either. They did the job even though they were extremely late. I have to give the credit though as the main office kept me informed as to when they will be arriving so at least that’s a plus.
They quoted me $ 50 something for 1 room cleaning (room mates moved out) but when they arrived, I forgot to add the stairs so ended up spending $ 130 but he gave me a 10% discount because of Unilocal.THANKS Unilocal!!!
Anyhoos, they certainly cleaned the rug as I have requested and looking at the result… it was «A-​ok.» There was left-​over «hair balls» that I had to pick up and vacuum.

The only positive thing that I can say about Fresh Environment is that Schlomi, aka «Sam,» is a nice enough guy who did kept his cool when things did not go well. I appreciate that. That is the only good thing I can say about this company.
On the other hand, the cleaning job that he did was a complete disaster.
1. I was told that the rugs would be dry 6 hours out, and the couches by the next morning. Both wildly untrue.
2. When Sam and his assistant were finished, the job looked OK but not thorough. When I lifted up the cushions on the couch there was still hair and lint and debris underneath. Isn’t that part of cleaning the couch?
3. They used my freshly cleaned bathtub to dump out dirty water from their steamer. Not OK. Not under any circumstance OK.
4. I left my home at 1:30 pm on a Friday after the cleaning was done. I came home at 8:30 that night, and everything was sopping wet, including my beautiful original hardwood floors underneath.
5. To save my floors I spent my Friday night from 8:30 — 11:30 desperately moving heavy furniture alone. I am not a large nor a strong gal. I had to use (and damage) other furniture to hold up and aerate the rugs. I am barely strong enough to move my couches and my dining room table. Hurt my back and neck. Good times.
6. When I called on Saturday morning to say the rugs were sopping wet and risking damanging my beautiful hard wood floors, Sam said «how come you didn’t tell me sooner?» Sooner?! I called the morning after when things were still soaking wet!
7. Monday morning I put the rugs back down on the ground. They were still not 100% dry but on their way. I lifted up the couch cushions to see if anything was wet there (hadn’t thought of that with all the other problems) and low and behold there were now WATER STAINS on my new couches. Both of them. Disgusting, yellow, pee-​like stains along the edges where the back meets the seat.
8. I called Sam from work on Monday and said ‘what can you do about it?’ and he agreed to meet me at my place after work.
9. He came over, looked at the stains, and said ‘there’s nothing I can do about it.’ Water stains are permanent. Me: those are new couches that I was hoping to sell because they aren’t quite right. Him: sorry, nothing I can do. NO offer to reimburse me for the wasted weekend and bad job. No offer to come up with a solution. Nothing.
10. It is more expensive than any other company I have used: $ 442 for 3 area rugs (one 3×5, one 5×8, one 8×10) and 2 couches.
11. SUMMARY: This company drenched my rugs (imagine pools of water on the floor), put dirty water in my bathtub, put stains on my couch, and walked away.

We wanted the air ducts of our 1919 house cleaned after the last phase of a minor renovation kicked up a load of plaster dust. The Fresh Environment folks quoted $ 149 for the job on the phone, and that’s exactly what they charged. The guys who came — Alex and Schlomi — were punctual (actually a bit early), polite and efficient. They cleaned the vents thoroughly with the combo brush/​vacuum unit and left not a bit of mess behind.
Alex also did a nice job upselling — suggested, explained, but never pushed — and we decided to have them clean out the furnace and give it a checkup after finding the hefty coating of white plaster dust inside, and ordered an electrostatic filter to replace the bottom-​of-​the-​line filter the former homeowners provided (checked online, and the price for the filter — which comes with a lifetime warranty — is very competitive).
The overall bill — 7 air ducts with sanitizer treatment (add $ 10 per air duct), furnace cleanup (209) and electrostatic filter ($ 139) was $ 567. Good service, reasonable price — we’d recommend this firm.

The boys came and did a fantastic job in right around two hours. Beautiful results! I can’t believe they were able to get out all of the heavy traffic stains, wine spills, grease spots and the wear and tear of two boys and myself throughout my condo. They gave me an accurate estimate [based on the number of rooms] over the phone when I made the appointment and didn’t jack it up or try to swindle me when they got here. Super honest and hard working guys; I definitely recommend this company and they will for sure have my repeat business.

So I ordered one of the resuable air filters for our return air. It is expensive, but well worth the money. It actually turns out to be cheaper to get that then to use the 3M filters constantly at like $ 20 each for like 3 months. It cost us $ 150 for a custom fit. They came and installed it. It was a perfect fit. They measured really well. They moved the stuff in front of it and helped put it back. I am so glad they came and told me to get an air filter for our return air. My mom said she doesn’t have difficulty breathing at night when the heater is on. As well, my dad said the same. It is really important to us that we have clean air as my dad is currently undergoing chemo.
What is nice is they only tell you what you need and not try to sell you what you don’t need. Our filter for the heater was only used for 1 month. I didn’t tell him that at first. He looked at it and said it was still good and that I don’t need to replace it just yet. They are honest. That is why I recommend these guys to all of our friends and family.

My pet passed away, and I contacted the Berkeley office (ad found on craigslist). I informed them that a) I had pet stains and b) I lived on the 3^rd floor. I was quoted the $ 49/​advertised price.
The technician arrived and said the carpet needed deep cleaning which was $ 75, not $ 49. Then, an additional $ 20 because of carrying the stuff to the 3^rd floor. I called the main office and negotiated with Eli, and told him I’ll pay the $ 75 — but not the additional charge, as I hadn’t been informed.
The technician did a great job and the carpet looks wonderful. I recommend them, but be very clear upfront!

My landlord had cleaned my carpets with a Bissell steam cleaner before I moved in — and then, I cleaned them twice more with steam and got them cleaner but couldn’t get everything out. After 3.5 years, I just got sick of looking at the perma stains which seemed to be getting bigger.
I called on Saturday and talked with Eli about the 2 rooms for $ 49 — he sent Sam out to have a look and set an appointment. He told me that the special was for steam cleaning only and that he’s worked with this same kind of carpet and was sure he could get it clean with deep cleaning — for $ 120. Since I have already had experience with steam cleaning and know that cleaning it 4 times didn’t get these stains out — I decided to trust his assessment.
This morning, Sam arrived and spent 2 hours — he cleaned the traffic areas around my platform bed (not easily movable), and the center of my tiny 8′ x 10′ «second bedroom» as well as the small living room (which we cleared of furniture) and 6′ x 8′ area rug. Sam did such an amazing job with the deep cleaning — I saw him take out at least three 5 gallon buckets of black, dirty water. The horrible stains left by the college age roommates who lived here before me are nearly entirely gone and the carpet no longer looks like it should be ripped out immediately and replaced!
I’m very happy with the result and can’t wait for the carpet to dry so I can practice yoga before I move back the furniture. It’s going to be great to sit on the carpeted floors without a sense of «I don’t even know what caused that stain» as I had before.
Sam was polite, kind and friendly — also very efficient and worked straight through the entire time he was here. He cleaned up after himself and was just fantastic — thanks again for the great work!

Last winter when my heater went out, a PG&E guy came by my apartment to fix it. He fixed my heater, but left a black sooted footprint equivalent to the Green Giant’s foot in my carpeted entrance. Tried to clean it up with household carpet cleaner. Didn’t work. Kind of gave up on cleaning it after that attempt.
Over the course of the year the sooty mess started spreading throughout my entrance. That giant footprint got darker and bothered me like none other, so much that I stopped turning on the entrance light to avoid seeing it.
Finally decided it was time to do something about it and called around to find a professional carpet cleaner. Figured it should be cheap since it’s just a 3’X6’ area. Found these folks off of Craigslist. They provided me with the lowest quote — a flat $ 50, as opposed to other places who either charge a low price but tack on a ton of extra fees for travel or whatnot or require a minimum of $ 75 – 150.
They’re no frills with no extra charges. They stick to their quote. For $ 50 I got my stained entrance cleaned plus some of my living room. I’m so glad I no longer have to look at that giant black footprint anymore.
