After many visits to different flooring stores and feeling let down, I happened upon Floor Dimensions and was very impressed with their entire selection and stellar team. I worked with Adrian and he was most helpful, knowledgable about different products and assisted me in finding the carpet which best suited my needs. The task of selecting my flooring was actually fun and the entire process from beginning to end was completely painless! Thanks Adrian and Floor Dimensions for making this as smooth as possible and for being so great to work with!!!

After finally deciding that the kitchen vinyl floor HAD to be replaced, we chose Floor Dimensions because of their good selection but most of all customer service. Tracy offered to email me other ideas after I couldn’t quite settle on a final choice and she followed up several times answering my picky questions! The process after that was seamless. The installer, Brennan, was well, amazing. Meticulous doesn’t begin to cover his work. For instance, when he realized that the baseboards could not be removed to install the vinyl under them, he brought over perfect white trim and even stained a piece of wood to go on one particular side. We are extremely happy with the workmanship, and, oh, the price was great too! Go there for your flooring!

Got a great price that would have been an entry point for flooring at most places. Thrilled with the service and the quality of workmanship. We’ll be back!

We just bought a townhouse and realized that we needed to replace the hardwood as well as the carpet throughout. After looking at a number of stores we settled on Floor Dimensions due to their location and their huge selection. We worked with Adrian, and found that he was very personable and low pressure. He showed us all the different choices from low to high, and explained very carefully what the advantages and disadvantages of each level of quality were. He encouraged us to take lots of samples home and look at it in the house under different kinds of light, so that we would end up with something that we really liked after installation.
Every part of the process was easy, the measurement, the ordering, and the installation. Everyone we talked to was helpful and cheerful, and we never felt that we were being a bother with all of our questions. And the floors turned out beautifully after all was said and done. We could not be happier, and would recommend Floor Dimensions to anyone looking for new flooring.

We live in an brown shingle house in Oakland that was built in 1910. Recently we decided to replace the kitchen floor — and after pulling up wood laminate, then vinyl tile squares, we got down to the original old linoleum (unfortunately way beyond salvage). After seeing it, we liked the idea of linoleum and looked around Oakland for suppliers. We found two, Floor Dimensions, a company we have used now five times, and one other company. We had them both came out for an estimate. The FD estimator was quite pleasant, and talked about the product with a lot of knowledge, and Floor Dimensions’ estimate came back a few days later. We hired them, the floor went in and it looks great! We get a lot of compliments on the new linoleum and we love it. A week or two after it was installed we got the other bid, which was pretty much the same cost — but obviously without the customer service and follow through of Floor Dimensions. We highly recommend them.

I needed ⁷⁄₁₆ inch pad last minute for a job so I called and Jason answered the phone. He was quick to look up and see if they had any in stock. I showed up 10 minutes later and he was already getting the pad ready for me.
Very nice people and a very nice store! I recommend them greatly.

I’ve used Floor Dimensions to install marmoleum in my kitchen with a wonderful border in 2007. In 2012 they laid marmoleum in my bathroom. House is circa 1908 and it looks great. In 2015 they installed laminate free floating over old hardwood floors. And I called them last month to install a wall to wall carpet in an office. they are always incredibly professional, on time, respectful of our home, and competitively priced. Am a loyal customer!

I have been a customer of Floor Dimensions for several decades. I live in a large house and have made many changes to it over the years. Floor Dimensions has installed wood floors, laminate floors and carpeting in my home. Their recommendations have always been sound; their installation excellent; their prices very competitive. Store location is very convenient. While all of this keeps me going back, it is their commitment to my satisfaction that has inspired me to write this review.

My husband and I were looking to carpet our bedrooms and install hardwood in the living room. Floor Dimensions was our first stop and after seeing the selection and working with Jason we didn’t bother visiting any other stores.
Jason is very personable and spent time with us showing us all the options. We ended up choosing a carpet that was in stock and on sale, and they also had a VERY good price on carbonized bamboo. The bamboo was about half what it is cost else where. We were specifically shopping for tongue and groove flooring so we could install it ourselves, and Jason was very helpful giving us tips and reassurance that we could do it ourselves.
The finished product is beautiful. The carpets are great quality (we went with Shaw’s middle pile and upgrade the pad to the memory foam), very soft and nice to walk on. The wood is also beautiful. It was really easy to install, we’re very happy we saved the money to do it ourselves.
If we have to do anymore flooring in the future we will definitely work with Jason again.

Sean in particular is a dream to work with. He recently helped me with a client project that was on a very tight timeline. From quotes to calculating square footage from rough drawings, Sean assisted me every step of the way. I can’t speak more highly of him and the service he provides, and it translates through the entire operation.

The staff here is very professional, kind, and accommodating. We absolutely love working with Cappi! She is great at anticipating our needs and makes the sometimes stressful endeavor of shopping for new flooring a fun experience. She is at the top of her game! The company also has great pricing and selections. I highly recommend them.

As a designer, I have been working with Floor Dimensions since 2000. My relationship with them solidified when I found Teresa Soloman there. She was a wonderful saleswoman who established very proactive service and rapport with my office and our clients we would send there. She was extremely helpful and had great follow-​through. My clients raved about her service and their experience purchasing Marmoleum, vinyl, carpeting and wood flooring. When Teresa left, we had some less great service from a few new sales guys for a period of a year or so.
At some point I became aware of the owner, Janka, becoming more involved and a big shift in the staff and dynamic again. Sean has been our go-​to person for clients service and helps our office obtain samples for various commercial and residential projects.
Recently, we had an unfortunate situation that was not the fault of Floor Dimensions but with a specific high end product line. Once installed, the Carpeting had a coloring that was completely off from anything like the normal gradation you would expect from a textile material in all my 30 years of expericence. It was a putrid color that was unforeseen and completely unacceptable. Floor Dimensions, Janka and Sean all worked with the highest professional standards with my client to resolve the issue even when the carpet company would not. My client was extremely pleased with the final result and the care and service provided by Floor Dimensions, as was I. As a designer, I really appreciate their investment in their long-​term professional relationships with clients and their integrity as a company.

The best customer service ever! Thank-​you Janka, Sean and the rest of the wonderful staff. My fiancé and I were remodeling his condominium. Our interior designer recommended floor dimensions. We ordered a high end carpet and laminated flooring. We waited to have the carpet installed the day before we we’re suppose to move in; the rug turned out to be seriously flawed. It was clearly not floor dimensions fault but the manufacturer. We were in a panic! We could not move in, and on top of it our wedding was the following week! Janka, the owner, personally helped us pick out a carpet (much better than the original) and rushed the switching of the carpeting! We were not charged for any of it! As we were getting married our new carpeting was being installed! As another reviewer stated, the true test is how a business handles itself when things go wrong; we are so grateful to Janka and her staff at floor dimensions in Albany for their excellent service and commitment to quality. We love our carpet ! We would definitely recommend them.

High recommended as the place to go to start – and finish – your flooring project. I would have saved a lot of time if Jason Puerto from Flooring Dimensions was the first person I spoke with rather than the fourth or fifth. He is extremely knowledgeable about the pros and cons of different products and incredibly patient with ever-​changing special orders. I had already chosen an installer by the time I found my way to Flooring Dimensions, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services if I were to do it again.

Highly recommended. There’s various ways to judge a business. The easiest of course being when everything goes smoothly and everyone is happy. Another way though is when things don’t go according to plan and the business does everything they can to make sure the situation turns out right. I think that’s what sets Floor Dimensions apart from many other stores I’ve dealt with when a problem has come up. In my case it was a problem with the supplier and the retailer but the owner stepped in and made sure everything turned out right. Many other places would have simply tuned me out since I had already purchased and installed the product (some hardwood flooring). In my case the owner stepped up and made sure I was happy even though it wouldn’t appear to be beneficial to them (in the short term at least).
They have a wide selection of flooring and truly stand behind the sale and I think that’s harder and harder to find these days. A store that says they stand behind their product and it’s not simply lip sync. I will definitely be using them again.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Floor Dimensions. The staff was very helpful in working with our needs for new flooring. Their selection options were quite varied and they assisted my wife and I when they came to the house in dealing with a somewhat difficult existing floor pattern. A few years ago I used Floor Dimensions to put hardwood throughout my house. I thought they were incredibly professional, responsive and reasonably priced. Since then, I’ve recommended them to my clients looking for carpet, hardwood, cork, etc. They have a great selection. Their staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Floor Dimensions is great to work with. On a recent residential remodel job they were incredibly helpful (both on the phone and in the store), were timely both in calling me back and visiting the jobsite for dimensioning; not only that, but they didn’t treat us like lesser customers when we asked if they had any scraps or leftovers for a small room. I will definitely be using them in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for a floor solution.
