Need nursing home care but want to live at home?

CEI is a health plan for seniors combining a health clinic, day center, rehab gym, home care and transportation to health appointments.

Hot meals, social services and activities are available to members.

CEI is a PACE Organization — Program of All-​Inclusive Care for Elders. PACE is a permanent Medicare benefit.

Every senior enrolled in CEI needs skilled nursing home level of care, but 96% continue living at home, in their communities.

History

Established in 1992.

CEI has 4 centers in Berkeley and Oakland.

From El Sobrante to Hayward, we pickup participants in our vans or visit them in their homes.

Manager

I have 30 years in healthcare, in acute care, physician groups, home care, hospice, long term care and managed care.

Before CEI, I was with Health Management Associates, Kaiser Permanente and St. Joseph Home Care.

My special interest is coordinated care systems, I chair the California Program of All-​Inclusive Care for the Elderly («CalPACE»).

My name is Linda Trowbridge. I’m the CEO of the Center for Elders’ Independence.

I am a passionate advocate for senior healthcare.
