Arbor Tutors

So pleased to have found Arbor Tutors! Steve, the gentleman that matched us with a tutor, was great. He listened and understood our needs (probably even better than we did). The tutor we were matched with has been better than any other and I’m sure our girls’ grades are on their way up. The convenience of having the sessions on-​line saves us a ton of time and is so much more flexible (I’ve seen no downside). Thank you Arbor Tutors.

I came across Arbor Tutors in my pursuit to find an a tutor who could give me focused, intensive sessions a little over a week before my GRE test date. I spent 6 hours working with Steve to better my quantitative score and it made a difference! Their services were significantly less expensive than the other companies and independent tutors I looked into. The 1-​on-​1 nature of the tutoring sessions were very beneficial to me. And, we were able to do our sessions online, which allowed me to stay at home (no travel time & noisy cafes!)
I am NOT a great test taker when it comes to standardized tests. Steve was instrumental in increasing my speed and accuracy. He explains concepts very, very clearly and goes over practice problems just the same. I was able to ask him about any types of questions that might come up in the quantitative section, practice those types of problems until I got them down, and he knows shortcuts too! As a tutor, he is extremely qualified and answered all my questions and concerns without judgement.
I previously scored too low in the quant section to get into the grad program I was looking at. I needed to increase by 2 percentile points to be considered a competitive candidate. In just over one week, we met three times and my quant score jumped 8 percentile points.
I couldn’t be happier with the time and dedication Steve put forth on my behalf. I knew he was genuinely invested in my doing well on the test. I am happy with my scores and very grateful that I will not need to take the GRE again. Thank you Arbor Tutors & Steve!

Arbor Tutors was honestly a huge lifesaver!!! Saman helped me strategize, in a few short weeks, how best to improve and approach my MCAT. He was innovative, and took the time to learn how I thought about the problems so as to best understand what to do to prevent falling in to trap answers.
