My wife received this sled dog ride as a birthday gift and I have to say the experience was incredible. Exceptional customer service upon arrival and a total experience that was astounding. Our musher Nick was as good as it gets explaining everything and making sure that our experience was great. The real stars were the athletes pulling the sled. Some of the nicest dogs I have ever seen. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I gave a sled– dog ride to my young team as a Christmas gift –and could not have made a better choice. they were soo excited and inspired. Not only sis they have fun, but also learned a lot about Huskies and Mt Bachelor. A big shout out to Travis and Rachael and Alex — phantastic guides. Anyone: This is the ideal gift for a young, athletic person and every outdoor dog lover Only problem is the reservation system at Mt. Bachelor — not very responsive and really acting like it is not their priority to give good customer service. We had to be really persistent with them– Rachael and the dogs deserve to be represented better.

This company is a joke. We bought a gift certificate through a school auction for a sled ride. We booked over a month in advance and we were told we were good to go. We drive through a wonderful storm to get there and discover our name is not on the list. We called the main office(since nobody was willing to help us in person) and were told they consider Monday, December 21st a holiday so they won’t be honoring the gift certificate. We were told«people that are willing to pay premium prices take priority over coupons»(It wasn’t a coupon, it was a gift certificate we paid more than face value for). Seems like maybe they could have called and let us know we weren’t important since we «only have a gift certificate». The disappointed 5 year old was the best part. What a joke.

My boyfriend and I did this in January and it was so much fun! The dogs are sweet and friendly. Our musher was very nice and gave a lot of info on the area, the dogs and the company. Our trip was about 45 minutes total for the round trip. I would highly recommend for couples or families. There is an adults only day trip with lunch included that we considered for our next trip to Bend.

Best thing I did my entire stay in Bend!!! Highly, highly recommend this trip with the nicest staff. They accommodated us even when we were late to our appointment when we got lost on the way. They also helped us add on an additional 2 people who wanted to join in the fun even though the lodge we were staying at said that there was no more room. We had the best day and loved learning about the experts who took us out for the morning. So much fun, so comfortable, absolutely beautiful. Mt. Bachelor is lucky to have such a wonderful team working up there!

Lot’s of fun! Very unique experience! Worth every penny! The ride was so beautiful and breathtaking our toddler fell asleep half way thru! We arrived there early, so we started early. Be there on time. They’ll have you sign some release of liability forms. Bring sunglasses for the kids too, dogs can flick a lot of snow. Wear gloves, otherwise the cold wind will freeze your hands. Specially the kids. There’s some hills that feel like a mild roallercoaster. Pretty cool. There are some stops so the dogs take a break and you can take pics(from inside the sled, no getting out). Our musher was a pretty cool young guy. Tip your musher. Book early! Specially for holiday weekends, they get booked fast!

Ton of fun for me and the kids. 3 mile ride in the snow, up and down hills. These dogs are strong! Run by an Iditarod veteran. Wonderful experience!

We just got finished up here! The ride was tons of fun, and it’s mid-July. I can’t even imagine how much fun this would be in the snow! We went to Mt Bachelor to ride the ski lift up the mountain. We were instantly distracted by 20+ barking huskies. We cautiously approached the group and were greeted by the extremely friendly owner and his daughter, an Iditarod racer. They let us spend a solid 20 minutes wandering around and playing with the extremely friendly dogs. Every single one was awesome with people! The ride itself was the best part. For only ten bucks per person, a group of five of us got to ride around the mountain for about a mile. The dogs were incredible! Again, after the ride, the owners let us hang out and play with the dogs some more. We easily snapped over 100 photos and they were completely fine with it; they weren’t rushing us out of there or trying to get more money out of us. Overall, this was an incredible experience which I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone feeling adventurous in the area. The owners, dogs, and sled ride were all phenomenal. I forgot the best part– they’re Eagles fans! Thanks for an awesome experience.

one of the most fantastic things you could ever do before you die. i know i know, you’re thinking to yourself«mushing? wtf? i thought they only did that in alaska». apparently not so. Jerry Scdoris(professional musher and father of the first blind Iditarod participant, Rachael Scdoris) runs this great program out of the Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort area. for about $ 75 a person, you can ride in the sled while 12 dogs pull you and the musher. two adults can fit in the sled(or one adult and two small children) that has been outfitted to make it as warm and comfy as possible. the ride itself is just absolutely amazing. you are gliding almost silently across a trail of absolute white. the mushers are super nice guys and will talk to you or answer any questions you may have about the dogs and what they do, the general Oregon terrain, and just life in general. they are really friendly guys. the trees are covered with snow and look so picturesque that you feel as though youre staring at a perfectly crafted christmas card. the dogs are great! they have about 30 to 40 dogs at the base camp area. 12 dogs to a sled each run, so they change them out so that the dogs won’t get tired. its amazing to see though, because the dogs practically beg to go running. they are super friendly as well and great with kids. you can pet the dogs and play with them while you are waiting for your ride. you can go for an hour long ride or sign up for the marathon trip(26 miles) which includes food. we went for the hour and it was so much fun that i want to do it again next christmas. also check out google for more info about rachael scdoris. she’s one amazing chick!
