Bend Pet Express is a locally owned and operated pet supply company with 2 natural pet food retail locations (East and West sides of Bend, Oregon). We know that one of the easiest ways to maintain your pet’s health is through a wholesome, natural, and nutritious diet. Nearly all of our foods are wheat, corn, and soy free, and a vast majority of our diets fall into the «holistic» category. In addition to our wide selection of food, we also have a vast selection of toys, training tools, treats, and other supplies.

Bend Pet Express is a community minded business. Our support focuses on local groups/​charities that exhibit integrity through compassionate care for Deschutes County families.

*NEW* Our Westside location hosts the HOPE (Help Our Pets Eat) food bank. Events are the first Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon. Donations of all kinds accepted daily. Thanks to the Bend community for making our first year successful.

History

Established in 1993.

Established in 1993 The whole idea for Bend Pet Express started back in 1993 when Julie Hunter’s (owner) dog became sick due to a food allergy. Upon discovering that very few options were available for premium dog foods, Julie started a pet food delivery service based out of her garage. The demand grew so fast that the garage was quickly replaced by our first retail store. Currently, we have two thriving retail stores and a dog wash Bend, Oregon.

I love Bend Pet Express, like to patronize locally owned businesses (not
chains) and the employees have helped me with 3 dogs since 2001, since
I was a new pet parent.
I also appreciate that they support our local humane society by sponsoring holiday photography for our furry loved ones. My 2 yr old
Cocker just had his first color pix on 2÷13÷16!

Right when you walk in, you are greeted with a «Hello, can I help you?». I am new to Bend and I give my dog raw food that is made in California. Its a smaller company and I would had thought they wouldn’t carry it. They didn’t carry it but they did offer to order it for me. I believe they place there order on Monday and get shipments on Friday (i think). I love that Bend Pet Express is so accommodating. Thats why I keep going back. Thank You!

Buy all my dogs food, treats, grooming products whatever here. The staff is knowledgeable about their products, their prices are comparable to other retailers and they have a huge variety to choose from. Bend is such a dog friendly town I truly appreciate a solid pet goods store who cares about their customers.

The highest quality of products. Knowledgable staff and helpful, engaging. Great variety for a store with a fairly small footprint. Pricey. Good newS is that 10th bag of dog/​cat food is free. Rewards programs are great, especially when our dog food costs $ 65.
If there is something you want, but dont see it, they are happy to order it for you.
Cheaper stuff to be found, but shopping local for a bit more is worth it.

Great find here in Bend! Traveled here from Portland and forgot dog food:(Our dog is on a special diet due to allergies and this place was the only store in town that I called who had it. I called three other stores near by with no luck. The store also offered many fun products not carried in my local Portland pet store. And the service was great! I will be back when I travel to the area.

This place is legit. Hands down the best pet store I’ve ever been to. My dog has a ton of allergies and is on a unique diet. When they were out of the food she gets, they searched out a similar kibble and special ordered it for us. This special order food didn’t agree with our dog as well as our normal kind. They called as soon as they got our normal food back in! It was two weeks later and the 30 lb special order food was half gone; yet, they took it back no questions asked. A full exchange for the new bag and we even got $ 10 back!

We brought our cat down to Bend for a week to our part time home and needed a few things for him. They had everything we needed and the clerks took the time to suggest and demonstrate a leash. They carry his favorite food and a wide variety of others. Great place and conveniently located to our house. This will be our pet store!

Went in to buy boots for our standard poodle. Didn’t know what to get. Staff person spent a great deal of time to be sure we got the right boots and the right size. She put a pairx2 we all had great laugh as he hated them soon he was ok. We walked in the snow today and the boots were great protecting his feet.

Always a good choice to buy your pet food and other pet items like toys, collars, beds, and snacks. Of course they are super dog friendly so bring your pooch with you b/​c this is their store to shop. My dog loves picking out her own bed and chewy bones. They have a great selection of high quality dog and cat food. The staff is friendly, very knowledgeable, and they truly love animals.

Without question, Bend Pet Express is the best pet store in Bend. They carry only high quality pet food and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. My golden retriever started losing weight and my vet suggested we switch to a higher fat/​protein food. I started researching online and got overwhelmed. I went into BPE and told them what I needed and they helped me pick a great food that both of my dogs love. I always buy 2 large bags at a time and have a baby in tow and they always carry the bags out to my car for me. They have a great selection of toys too and a doggie bakery in the store. Love this place!

Just say, «NO» to chain pet food stores and stop in to Bend Pet Express. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You won’t find an employee reading you information off the back of the bag when you have questions about nutrition. High quality brands include Innova, California Naturals, Orijen/​Arcana, etc.
They also keep a purchase punchcard, buy so many, and get one free.
Basically, shopping here reminds me why I shop local. Great Service. Great Staff. Every time!

great pet supply store. they carry innova and all the high end pet food that those chain stores dont carry. they are too busy selling foods that are poisoning cats.
