Quality Inn Grand Suites Bellingham

I called this location when I got into town to check availability after driving for hours on the road. the from desk JOSH who works in the evening was nothing but RUDE to me over the phone! Ive stayed in many quality inns and never had I had such bad customer service in person or ON THE PHONE

I’ve stayed here several times since March due to my boyfriend working in Bellingham. We’ve always had one of the jacuzzi tub rooms. The room is nice and big, has a fridge and a microwave, couch, and a king size bed. The first time we stayed, our tub didn’t work. The jets wouldn’t turn on. Oh well, not a big deal. I knocked off a star due to the rock hard mattresses. I wake up so stiff and sore! The back parking lot also seems a bit sketchy. Great value for the price. Our room was like $ 70 with the jacuzzi tub. It is definitely not a 5 star experience, but you get what you pay for.

Stayed here last week. The room was clean and spacious. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The biggest problem was getting zero sleep from the horrible mattress that was more like a worn out box spring with no padding left. Wrecked my back and neck for sure. Too bad because I would have been a return customer just for the bath tub. When the nice lady at the desk the next morning inquired about my stay, I described the box spring disguised as a mattress, she nodded knowingly, and replied like a robot with a scripted sentence, that I could have requested a room with a new mattress and they are in the process of replacing the old funky ones with new ones. I was very disappointed to say the least. Who knew they would just hope a new customer would just grin and bear the springs sticking out of their old yucky mattress and suffer the loss of a full nights sleep, spend a hundred bucks and want to come back? The one star rating is for the hotel managers for allowing anyone to sleep in that room. The cleaning staff did a great job.

We stayed here for a short weekend getaway. We had a king suite with whirlpool tub, microwave, and fridge as well as a pull out sofa bed. The hotel itself is actually quite nice. We traveled with our dogs and it was no problem. The room didn’t smell of animal odor like a lot of pet rooms do. The room itself was very large and perfectly laid out. The whirlpool tub worked very well.
The pool area is nice however on the second day of our stay it was broken. Really not a big deal for us because we had the whirlpool tub, but I can see how other guests would be upset. The pool is warm and very clean. Nice chairs and tables around for the adults while the kids swim.
The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They were quick to help with anything we needed.
The only downside I thought was the breakfast. It’s your typical continental breakfast but it seemed like all the hot food needed reheated. The muffins were cut up into pieces which seemed odd but it was sufficient to start the day.

Price was $ 149 for a King «suite», which is smaller than any other hotel room I’ve seen.
Room is old with old school fridge in an odd location & out of date microwave.
the pillows provided are decorated sized for a coach and there were no extras available.
No blankets or pillows provided for the pull out sofa & we had to go to the front desk at 11pm
The whirlpool bath wouldn’t drain & had water left in it from earlier.
Wifi wouldn’t work in the room but did in the parking lot.
While the rules state the pool closed at 10pm, we were surprised as adults just using the chairs that we were asked to leave.
Our room was quiet as we were the last room to the back parking lot.
Having someone on crutches was difficult as not all doors were ADA compliant.
Fifth hotel in this baseball season and it’s the worst AND most expensive.

Took me in an hour before check-​in without any problems. Friendly girl at the front desk.
Room is dated, smells of old cigarette smoke from many years of being a smoke environment.
Plenty of space in the room, but décor is definitely still from 1981. I think the value would be a better match per night around $ 70.
Wifi works great. Parking is free. Breakfast is free which I’m guessing is probably fruit, bagels and maybe yogurt?
Location is good.
Pool is closed, but hot tub is open.
Bed looks lumpy but I haven’t tried it out yet so it would be unfair for me to comment on that yet.
No restaurant here but it shares the parking lot with the Olive Garden.
Has a tiny fitness centre which is a plus.

Stayed here last weekend to run the Bellingham Bay Marathon. I was happy they had a room as I had waited until the last minute to reserve one! Room/​bed was clean. A little outdated, but who cares? They take care of it and keep it clean. It’s about a 10 min drive to downtown Bellingham. These guys were great. They let us check in 45 min early, they also were great about letting us check out a little late – I finished at 11:30 (Checkout is noon) and was a bit out of it and needed to shower before we left. We called the front desk and said not to worry about checking out a little late. Awesome experience overall.

Good location (near stores, freeway). Helpful staff. Military discount. Clean rooms. Good wifi connectivity. What more? The hot tub was out of service… Not cool.

The rooms were pretty clean and spacious. My stay was going well until my last day which I wanted to extended and the front desk said they didn’t have any rooms availed but I had just checked
and I had heard her tell someone the rates for that night. So I was confuses and a bit disturb. I finally booked my room thru Orbitz when I was re-​checking in she wasn’t so please. She had a horrible attitude and even lied about being front desk manager. She even cancel my reservation for that day so now I was with out a place to stay and two luggages to push around. She ruin my whole vacation to this beautiful city. As long she works there I will never check in that Quality Inn.

Friendly staff and clean, huge rooms. Lovely pool and good continental breakfast included. The location is a bit far from downtown, but perfect for in between the airport and downtown.

This place is clean. Very clean. Stayed in a room with two double beds and the sheets were divine. The pillows– a little on the small side. Decent clean bathroom. Room was absolutely huge. I think it was bigger than my last apartment.
The breakfast is just kind of blah– it’s free but I wanted at least some scrambled eggs. Make your own waffles, toast, muffins, hard boiled egg, cereal, tired bowl of fruit.
Watery coffee.
Staff was good– originally they put me next to the loudest soda/​ice machine possible and I asked to be moved, and they moved me promptly. Couldn’t really answer any questions about the area, which is a touch weird however. I assume the front desk people actually live in town.
Did not go to the pool or hot tub; stuck my head in the tiny fitness room, which is on the 3^rd floor and consists of a treadmill and I think a weight machine?
Staying here is ok.

My stay here the long weekend in November was fantastic! This hotel is outstanding. The front desk staff was always helpful, friendly and available.
They have an outdoor pool and hot tub. Hot tub is open year round. I sat in it even while it was raining outside. Ohh so nice. Just the perfect temperature too. I hate it when a hot tub is just warm. This one was toasty!
The Quality Inn has a free continental breakfast in the morning which was decent. Standard make your own waffles and stuff. It’s a nice thing to have coffee made for me in the morning so I do enjoy a free breakfast.
My hotel room was really big. It addition to the queen bed, it had a sofa and sitting area. It was nice and cozy. The bed was comfy too. The bathroom was a good size and everything was very clean.
The location of the Quality Inn is right off Meridian Road. It’s close to drug stores, gas stations and other shopping but there’s no street noise that I could hear. Makes for a peaceful night’s rest.
This hotel had everything I wanted and of better quality than most hotels. If I’m back in Bellingham, I will stay here again.
