History
Established in 1988.
Upon moving to Bellingham, WA in 1986, Dr. Sharninghausen recognized the value of a mobile veterinary practice and together with wife Janet, began serving the greater Bellingham community. He specializes in personal, compassionate care. He values good partnership with pet owners in making care decisions.

Dr. Frederick Sharninghausen S.
Business Owner
Dr. Frederick «Fritz» Sharninghausen VMD is our primary veterinarian. He studied chemistry and literature at Yale before completing his veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 1977.
Dr. S. was drawn to veterinary medicine by his experiences on a communal farm in Israel. He worked for a year as a large animal veterinarian among the Amish in central Pennsylvania before joining a seven doctor small animal practice outside Philadelphia for seven years. He established Bellingham Veterinary Housecalls in 1988.
