Located on scenic Chuckanut Drive (Hwy 11), Chuckanut Bay Gallery displays American made crafts from over 400 artists — jewelry, ceramics, glass (fused, etched & blown), wood crafts, metal art plus unique home décor items. Wonderfully landscaped outdoor sculpture gardens display outdoor décor using various mediums — metal, glass, stoneware. Customers often spend 1 — 2 hours browsing the shops and enjoying a stroll around the gardens. Espresso is also available.

History

Established in 1987.

Gallery evolved out of a self employed pottery business. Has grown from 10 artists to over 400 displaying craftspeople; from 1 small building to 2 buildings with outdoor sculpture gardens

An interesting shop with indoor/​outdoor gifts. Many of the gifts are functional and a majority are created by local artists. We picked up a fused glass salmon-​shaped dish which is perfect for serving a whole salmon in, of course. The garden is a treat to see later in the evening when the lighting is active.

This is my favorite place to shop, particularly for gifts. Beautiful items in a wide range of prices. The staff are wonderfully helpful. The gift-​wrapping is elegant. Be sure to visit both ‘cabins’ of the store. The garden is lovely and also full of potential gift items. On days when I don’t really need to buy something, I just like stopping there for the pleasure of it all.

What a lovely shop and really amazing garden. I would come back just to wander the garden and enjoy the most peaceful retail setting I have ever encountered. The merchandise is beautiful and unique. Interesting array of items and super friendly staff. Easy to give this shop 5 stars. Look forward to returning next time I am in town.

Very cool selection of wares, from kitchen stuff and wall décor or outdoor garden art. All little «off the main drag» but worth the short dive down Chuckanut to check it out. Didn’t end up buying anything cuz it was pretty pricey, but if you have few more bucks in your wallet than I, you could go home with some cool stuff.
I saw a really nice yellow glass olive oil bottle, ~$ 70. Some outdoor glass art (the kind that sits on a metal pole that goes in the ground, $ 60−100ea. They had a lot of handmade jewelry, ~$ 40 – 400, dishware, wall art, candle holders, etc.

This shop has a wonderful selection of art pieces for the garden. A lot of glass and ceramics for inside. I think Chuckanut Bay Gallery has the best selection of quality «gift shop» items in Whatcom County.
