I’m astounded that this is my first check-in and review for DaVinci’s. I estimate that I’ve stopped here for one of the delicious sandwiches at least twice a month for the past ten years. I just have not connected Unilocal check-ins and DaVinci’s in my brain before. DaVinci’s has a great selection of corner market items plus a fantastic wine and beer section. And they have abundant gourmet food items. Then… they have the sandwich bar which really is two different animals. The traditional sandwiches are made to order with generous serving sizes, fresh bread and awesome ingredients. I’m always delighted and content with my choices. Today however is my favorite from the other side of the sandwich world. Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches grilled before your hungry eyes. For the first time I ordered with a «house» sauce which was awesome. Give this Bellingham treasure a try. You will love it!

Yeah I’m a big fan of Davincis. The only trouble here is the wait can often take a long long time… but it’s well worth the wait. The Cheese Steaks are fantastic. My personal favorite is the chicken with provolone, onions, peppers, and mushrooms, loaded with house sauce. They also have good breakfast(order in advance on the weekend).

Best cheese steak or the Giocanda sub with all the Italian deli meats. Yum. White or whole wheat. Provolone available. And a nice, fairly mild siracha house sauce.

Great sandwiches and while you wait(which could be a while sometimes) there’s plenty to browse to finish off your picnic.

Horrible customer service. They will either give you the wrong sandwich or they will give half of it to an apparent regular. Then pretend nothing happened. DONOTGOHERE!

Super friendly staff and pretty good subs! I had the French dip which was delicious and my husband had the BBQ chicken which he said was good. Very simple, deli style sandwiches. I’ll definitely go back!

Sandwiches are good, but the service is so slow… It is painful, but the sandwiches must be good, or we wouldn’t keep coming back. There are really no other options, or we would try them, due to the slow and inefficient service

for one the food is very good the service is SUBPAR at best there is nothing worse than walking in(not busy) from behind the counter they look at you and say nothing turn their back on you and finish cutting bread or something. At least acknowledge some one and say will be right with you, trust me people understand but don’t understand being ignored. Then when done they ask can I help you with lack luster tone. For god sake hire some retired people who know about service or something n

You would think these people don’t want business, start the day planning not to feed anyone or make money. Maybe these allegations are not true, but their attitude and speed speaks wonders. Their food is good, I like getting sandwiches from here vs some sub chain, however I typically want a sandwich as something quick — or else I would have waited in line at the Deli counter of Haggens. We have come in here on the way to work at about 7am and been told«We are out of breakfast» — which is weird because you have been open for like an hour, how did you plan at all and run out of breakfast in an hour? Once I even asked if I could just get a regular sandwich and was told they can’t make sandwiches until 10:30. That’s great and all, but I’m hungry with money in my hands and will now go somewhere else because you obviously don’t want business. May as well send the workers home because they have nothing to do until lunch time. Well, sort of they will have something to do during lunch but they won’t be working fast at making your food. The owners of this place need to make some changes to how things are run at this place. It’s time to watch that surveillance camera feed and notice how long the simplest tasks take, how many people walk in asking for something and are flat out turned away.

Getting breakfast here at 9am is harder than catching a unicorn, almost non-existent and the same goes if you order any sandwich

We absolutely love their cheesesteak sandwiches. They come on your choice of bread with steak, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and sauce. I’m sure they’re nothing close to an authentic cheesesteak, but they’re pretty darn tasty. I’m giving them three stars because I was told I would be charged 2 dollars to add pepperoncinis to my cheesesteak(they call this«Hoagie Style). This was the first time this has ever happened(I’m guessing it’s a relatively new policy, although we haven’t eaten there for about six months). Their reasoning for the 2 dollar charge is that going«hoagie style» gives you access to a wide variety of additional toppings. However, 2 dollars does not seem at all reasonable for a handful of pepperoncinis. I did not ask for tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, etc., etc. added to my sandwich(which are all included with the 2 dollar charge). Is it possible that the pepperoncinis could be substituted(for the bell pepper and mushrooms that I didn’t want on my sandwich)? Or maybe a more reasonable idea might be to charge 25 cents for each additional ingredient? That said, the food is tasty and I may eat there again. I’ll just buy my own jar of pepperoncinis and add them at home.

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews for Davinci’s. Everyone used to talk about this place in college. I never got the chance to give it a try until today. I’m not the hugest sub sandwich fan. But I was craving one today. I ordered the chicken club which was very good. The bread is fresh, the meat is sliced to order and there are a variety of toppings and sauces you can choose from. They also serve Philly Cheesesteaks. The service is eh, though. And to top it off, the place is also located at a gas station. I’d probably come back, though… but am in no rush.

I used to go here all the time but have stopped buying subs at the electric st. Location because there would always be these girls working who had really poor customer service. they would always be having their own conversation behind the counter and would have to ask multiple times if I said I wanted white or wheat, mustard or mayo etc. Just pretty obnoxious…

These sandwiches are awesome. It always ends up taking longer to get one than I want, especially if there are other people in line(duh), so just be sure to allow yourself a few minutes to get through the line. If you don’t have time, they usually have some that are ready to go in the case, but they are not as good as made-to-order. This place is inside a gas station/convenience store, but don’t let that deter you. SOGOOD!

I’ll give them 3 stars because they make a decent Philly. Not outstanding, but decent. However, the staff is always disappointing. I used to put up with it because the sandwich was good. Too many times I’ve been treated rudely by young, incompetent staff. Not sure I would even trust them making my sandwich if it weren’t for the fact that I can watch them make it.

MMMMmmmmm, nothing beats a really well made sub! Ok maybe a really well made philly… I swear I practically lived off these things my first few weeks in college! They have tons of sub choices and great products for them; genoa, procuito, salmi, pepporoni, you name it… there bread is always fresh and never tastes stale. They prepare it in front of you and listen to what you say… you say more mayo they give you more mayo, you say not enough? they give you more. Oh and their philly’s, now that is a wonderful splurge if you love cheese and meat! MEATANDCHEESE people! What’s not to like here! yumm! The sauces are good, the seasoning is good and oooo its soooo warm and toasty! Its a college student lifesaver.
